chai inasmuch as water is very good, too much of it especially since you have smaller space will cause you to be too filled. Just slow down small you hear. Take the water in bits.

Good morning fruitful mamas ,something strange happened to me last night immediately after bding, this severe pain started like never before, it was just like the hsg test pain( if not even more), I was feeling vein pulling on my entire pelvic region, vaginal, back and anus pulling. I couldn't stand nor move at all up till this morning.
I Dont know if any mama knows what that could be.
N.B :diagnosed with pcos( I have tried metformin &m2tone for over 3months), irregular AF, currently on vitex & folic acid, CD over 80

I think it's ovulation pain. I used to have it. Excruciating pain that will even make me scared to move. Throbbing/pulling pain around the anus, vjay, lower abdomen on one side. Doesn't last more than a day or 2.

Birth story
Sorry this took long in coming. So here it goes...for starters EDD by my Dr is Nov 1st/2nd 2017, by the bump app 31st october 2017 which I decided to go with but I knew my baby would come A bit earlier but the particular date? I wasn't sure. I had left too many things undone due to some decisions about where to birth. I hadn't shopped, because I was to travel and didn't know gender. After much deliberations we decided to cancel, I entered market on 16th and 17th october I did marathon shopping with hubby, washed a few of baby's clothes same day, packed baby's box around 12midnight, was busy arranging the house and unpacking all that we bought. Arranged my hospital bag too. I was very disturbed just pacing up and down. Finally had my bathe around 1am went to lie down when it started... serious menstrual cramp about 30mins apart, next thing bloody show came, started purging, all in quick succession. My hubby told me to call my Dr I refused thinking we should wait till day break. I couldn't sleep a wink. At about 4am I couldn't take it anymore the cramps were less than 5mins apart. I called the Dr, started heading towards the hospital, got there at exactly 5.05am nurse started taking vitals I asked her to show me the labour room and forget that nonsense vitals. By myself I started moving towards the labour room, another wicked cramp hit me, at same time I wanted to poop, I ran into the toilet with the BP monitor still tied to my arm, nurse and hubby followed me.I emptied my bowels and next thing I had this urge to push, I jumped up and clamped my legs together. Immediately the Dr came in asked why they let me go to the loo. Took me to the labour room. Positioned me on the bed examined me and said madam you wan born for house? I was fully dilated. Forgot to add I started draining fluids at home before we came to the hospital it was gushing with each cramping. He positioned me and told me we would do it together, I didn't lie fully on my back. I was almost sitting down, hands around my ankles, 2 pillows and hubby supporting my back, when the cramp came, I looked beyond my navel and pushed, the head came, next the shoulder and out flew the rest of the body. 3 pushes and my 4.7kg princess came out screaming down the entire hospital at 5.43am 18th october 2017. She was taken to be cleaned hubby left with them. Next placenta was guided out easily Dr cleaned me up and said I had one tiny tear that didn't need stitching but I insisted so he placed a stitch there just to satisfy me according to him. I was allowed to rest a bit then showered, cleaned up reunited with my baby. The paediatrician came in about 6am to review my baby, she requested for some tests, as she was suspecting jaundice but it wasn't done immediately. I was discharged the next day and told to put baby under early Morning Sun. By Saturday morning my baby had transformed from a fresh baby to a baby covered with very red patches/rashes all over and her hands and feet were bluish. We went back to the hospital, they poked and pricked my baby till they were able to get her veins, she was very chubby and round all over. Result confirmed high levels of bilirubin, she had jaundice, polycythemia( pcv was 60%), plethoric. Hmm... We were admitted immediately IV fluids set up, phototherapy commenced, it was hectic, we were there for another 4 days. Everyday they will prick her tiny veins for blood samples. I didn't sleep all through this I couldn't close my eyes my BP was constantly around 170/100mmHg, I had help, I was given a nurse to stay with me permanently but I still couldn't sleep a wink. Thank God she's perfect now and we are at home giving God praise for putting the enemy to shame once more. My BP is back to normal after enough rest at home. To God be all the Glory. BS submitted

To the Glory of God here's my BA! My princess defied all odds and came out screaming her lungs out @ a whooping 4.7kg! This is the easiest birth so far for me. Got to the hospital at 5am and Baby came at 5.43am this morning. God did it He took away the fears I had. Guess what tiny tear needed only one stitch. BS later. @cappo pweetiebabe

@beyedew you got me shedding tears here. I thank God it all ended in praise but still no woman deserves to go through this harrowing experience. Having a caeserean under local anaesthesia? Omg. You are one helluva woman! It's even worse than pulling out a tooth without numbing it. You're the MVP. Please pamper yourself well. Enjoy all the help and pampering you can get. Even request for outrageous things from hubby etc. Odiro ofele cha cha! Hmm.. Still trying to wrap my head around this. I don't know if I should say the doctor did his best or that he didn't act on time, I don't know.... But thank God it ended in praise. I don't think I will forget this in a long while.

Something just came to my mind.
I have only good intentions.
You know we search for this bfp and when we get it we relax and feel we have reached the finish line.
Not so easy.
Once you get the bfp, there's really no finish line in motherhood o, even in death Yorubas believe that mothers still mother.
Back to my point, bfp is not the end of the journey, keeping the pregnancy intact for 40 weeks is the next hurdle.
I'm saying this here cos I know that some of us have waited very long for this.
If you know you had an underlying issue before this bfp please ensure you continue to see your fertility doctor till you cross the 13 weeks mark. Whether fibroid or pcos or hormonal or pid. Don't wait till 13 weeks to start your antenatal.
A regular hospital might not want to start antenatal for you but insist that you want your fertility specialist to continue to see you.
For me o, even if I don't have progesterone issue, I will disturb my doctor to check my hormone level and be sure to receive a top up if I'm anywhere close to borderline. If I have pid, I would be sure to ask of the best drug to take in pregnancy. If I have fibroid right now, I would so battle it so that when my baby comes my mind would be settled.
For the first 13 weeks, your hormones keep the baby alive while the placenta is being made. Any drop in this progesterone will cause threatened abortion and may eventually lead to miscarriage. After 13 weeks with the placenta in place, we're good to go (personally I would use the hormones for an extra 2 weeks just to be sure).

I know a first trimester miscarriage can also be as a result of foetal issues and this will occur whether or not your hormones are in order.
Also your prayers should double or triple sef.
It's not just you asking for something, it's about keeping it.


It's a few days to the end of the year.
As little as the months in between.
As high as the tension of year end.
I believe that an enormous number of bfps will still be recorded.
Record breaking bfps.

The other day, my lo was head down and I was in serious pains around my pelvic region that I could barely even walk. Seems lo wasn't too comfortable too, cos he later shifted and the pains I felt lessened. Now, I try to take plenty walks to help with baby's descent and engagement, and I feel mild pains, not as much as the first time. I don't even know lo's current position, but I don't feel that hardness that tells me he is head down. So I was wondering if my walks would push the bum or legs downwards the more, or I should wait till I feel lo's head down there before walking more...

just try and take your mind off the head position, descent etc.just take care of yourself and work with your Dr. These things have a way of arranging themselves and falling into place somehow. I'll advise you take it easy on the walks. Don't be so aggressive about it yet. I've been feeling same pressure since about 29 weeks its been getting worse not less. Though at times change of position helps a bit. Some people are on bed rest till 37 weeks and baby will still descend so..... just breathe in and out don't think too much baby will come at the appointed time screaming his lungs out

Ok. Just wondering oo.. Do babies engage with their bum or legs? Or is it only the head that could get engaged? And if a baby is engaged, does that mean they cannot change positions again?
If babies only engage with the head, does it mean labour can start even without engagement? Or how do women with breech babies go into labour?

I need any mama who knows to help explain to me please.

The norm is for babies to engage with the head, that is the head goes way down into the pelvis. In normal cases once they engage down there, they don't change position they're comfortable in that position till they're ready to come out. But then we still have the rare cases that flip later but then this depends on how far down they are. Bum and leg is abnormal. It causes a lot of damage to the baby and mother. No Dr/midwife will allow you deliver a baby like that because of the risk involved. Some have special skill of turning the baby during active labour to become head down. E.g. in twins once the presenting twin is head down no problem cause once out the 2nd one can be flipped and guided down. Yes labour can start whether breech or not. Yes labour can start whether engaged or not. I hope this helps.

hey sis, don't be like me last minute shopper. I also got Nov 1st at very first scan then subsequently its been October 31st, 27th, but I know for sure the latest I will stay is 3rd week in october my 1st and 2nd came before their EDD. So just keep an open mind and prepare for October just in case....

cappo the cappo wehdone o thank God I rushed my food before coming here if not..... It's our month october! As if pastor knew he offered special prayers for all pregnant women that are due this october . I really feel great about this month. We 're 36 weeks + to God be all the Glory. Feel so heavy down there. Baby has been engaged since, the head is way down. Team October it is well with us. It must surely end in praise.

I called my doc ( my sis), she recommended I take ventolin 4mg and diazepan 10mg.
I have bought and taken ventolin. I didn't see diazepan. Told hubby to buy .

I am on my way home now.
She also said i shld take bed rest

Hmmm..... it is well. Diazepam is same as valium. You should actually be on bed rest and not looking for drugs up and down. Zero physical activity. Isn't there anyone to help u get it right away?

They said he needs blood transfusion!

Oh my..... please let them act fast 12% is too low. By the grace of God nothing will happen to him. By the stripes of Jesus he is healed already. He will bounce back in good health. Kpele you too take care o. Let the dad do all the running around. Hope he's already being rehydrated(fluids)

1. Garki Specialist Hospital ... my first kid here! Highly professional. Just registered here last week.
2. Federal Medical Centre Jabi... (personal bad experience) when they gave me my scan report reading 75year old male, with Doctor's signature date 2 days after I have my result... I run... I no fit take chances with small labels.
3. Nisa same management with Garki... Good
4. Kubwa General Hospital... i hear theu are food.
5. Wuse... colleaque was happy with them
6. Maitama is same as 5 above.

I be nurse pikin, na public hospital we trust pass for giving birth... as hands will always be available as needs arises. Think am.

I love garki hospital too had my 1st there. Using same consultant for this baby but in his own private hospital. I actually work in a hospital but I love my privacy biko I love continuity too same doc for all my children. He understands the peculiarities of my case.
