My brother you dey vex oh lol. He was just joking sha and I believe he has gotten the correction.

Please @all, beyond fun let's take this Vietnam seriously, if Nigeria never tire you guys e don tire me. @Whyna has wet our mouth very well. Please let's keep researching and saving money. Personally I have given myself this year and at most next year to be in vietnam by God's grace. From what @Whyna told us and from my personal research, 2m is The target amount we need to be there and have some change to at least last for month plus before we get a job.

Let's focus our questions to her on our findings that is confusing. Let's not repeat questions she has answered already and let's not ask her unnecessary questions. Remember she has not stayed up to a year there so she needs time to hustle hard, have some good savings and be more relaxed.

Let's know too that we will still need her assistance when we get there, whether we go through Agent or a TEFL school.

Above all, las las we go dey ok. Udo diri unu.

Oil dey your head bro.. that's the bench mark i have given my self, next year at most. She already mentioned it earlier that 2mil will be enough when i asked her and since then i just dey on low dey hustle for money. Don't wanna keep fantasizing on travelling anymore as i believe once the money is ready, the dreams becomes real. It all boils down to OKPO lol... we can work together by sharing infos bro one love.

You guys aren't ashamed posting these pictures, Students that have gone through this school are really suffering if you don't have money to pave way for you. Most student I know who graduated from this school since 2012 are yet to get their certificate.
Even their university hostel exterior might look good but when you go inside, that's when you consider an animal in a zoo have a more good looking habitant than student living in that hostel.

Liar. In unical you get your original cert before going for service and not statement of result. I graduated in 2017 from faculty of physical science unical.

You’ve said the hard truth.

You see, those who are complaining here are the unserious ones. If you are serious errrhhh... I mean if you are really, really serious about traveling outta the country you will not be asking @WhyNa to be spoon feeding you with all the info. You’ll do some deep digging after you’ve been given the lead.

Whatever @WhyNa has posted here is more than enough for anybody who is bent on living out of the country with or without any assistance!!! You can’t compel him to give any further info.

AFTER ALL HE DIDN’T GET THE HELP HE HAS PROVIDED HERE BUT HE WAS STILL ABLE TO MAKE IT OUT OF THE COUNTY!!!

Case closed!

The problem here some people want her to introduce the agent she use for her package and she is not ready to take that risk incase something happen some guys will be on Nairaland within a minute to tell us how they were scam, Like she said the process is you need to find someone trustworthy to help you with the package. If you are interest in Vietnam do your own research.

Okay if that is the case which i have always suspected to be the cause of all this backlash, then they should send her a pm as regard to that, while bearing in mind that WhyNa will not be held responsible for any loss of fund should incase anyone get swindled. Only saying though.. WhyNa should know better.

Don't know where all this attack on WhyNa is coming from. I mean, everything you need to know about migrating to vietnam is already on page 1-3 haba.. And mind you, there's no way you won't make your own research on which ever country you plan on migrating to so please lets stop all this attack on her person and start thinking of way forward.

Watching right now AIT Kano is in a real disaster

So you know. There religious leaders are bent on destroying that state with so much ignorance. Imagine a top muslim cleric in Kano, misleading the masses that there's nothing like corona virus gosh.. DSS will not see them to arrest now nonsense.

Meanwhile gandollar is still waiting for federal government to give him 15b before he starts taking proactive.
measures to save lives of citizens.

Kano is in for a deep shit as a result of misinformation. These people really need massive education.

Top echelon of kano ncdc has tested positive for the virus and more than half of kano ncdc taskforce have tested positive for the virus, reason kano ncdc has been temporarily shut down. Now tell me, if these frontliners have tested positive for covid 19, what happens to the masses.

First case of covid 19 in jos sneaked in from kano, first covid 19 related death in ibadan sneaked in to from kano so you see, we all screwed..

My advice to all state governors, if you must relax the lockdown in your state, make sure there's a lockout i mean keep your borders closed for the next two months.

Amen.

Let's see.... how do I do this....

Ok. With 2M, you can start the process, get to Vietnam, and still be good for the next 1-2 months. By process, I mean both getting the right documents, authentication, one year visa, work permit, flight, accommodation, feeding, etc.

This however depends on some things.

1. The agent
2. Your prudence in spending
3. Your taste.
4. Location

Other than that, 2M would get you the best option.

A very concise details here. Thanks so much.
What other job can one do other than teaching in Vietnam also, what visa type is best for someone coming to work?

Sorry. I know it's been a while but nothing much is happening right now.

Hanoi went into a 15 day lockdown and we're in day 9.

The government does a good job at curtailing, tracking and giving info here. Every morning, we receive either text message or update on Zalo on measures and all

There's also an app where you can see the new numbers of infected and cured people and areas at risk and declare your health status

If a person tests positive, in less than 24 hours, the government releases a statement of all the places the person has been in the last 2 weeks and where possible, specific times. if you were in those areas, you'll be asked to self quarantine first and give update if anything changes. If they were on a flight, flight number and seat number is given sef

Disinfection and lockdown of those areas is also prompt.

One good thing about the lockdown is the markets are still very open and prices are normal. Pharmacies, banks, fuel stations, supermarkets, factories, etc are open but with certain rules. You can still take a walk to stretch you legs and all

Job-wise, we teaching online for those who have online students. Some landlords have been kind enough to either reduce rent or ask you to pay a certain amount and balance up after the virus. Mine reduced my electricity and light bill for the month of March.

Now is the best time to learn or do something you've been wanting to do eg learn a new language, learn to cook a new dish, etc

Light and internet is constant. Internet is free so you can watch loads of movies and play games and have access to loads of information.

We just praying everything gets back to normal soonest

Wow! Vietnamese government really took wonderful proactive measures in trying to curtail this pandenmic that has caused lots of panic all over the world but same thing can not be said for my darling country Nigeria where it citizens are already crying of hunger. Like Vietnam like South Korea!

Anyways thanks for keeping this thread alive. Stay safe and hope you learn to make some new meals before the lock down is over.

As much as possible, I'll try to document my step by step journey to Hanoi, Vietnam.

This is my first time outside Nigeria and the excitement no be here. Lol

In 2014, I took my first and only IELTS, made a 7.5, even created a thread and was optimistic about getting a scholarship. Between 2014 and 2018, I applied for dozens of scholarship but was always given admission without scholarship or put on reserve list.

2019, I had had enough and decided to look into other ways of leaving Nigeria

.....

God bless you for this wonderful information. Please can you drop a rough estimate of traveling to viet from visa, flight, living expenses for like 3months etc. Is it up to 2mil please i need to know dont want next year to pass me by thanks.

Nobody has achieved anything always trying to please others. The problem they have is that they found themselves in a forum that is full of filth instead of standing for who they are and what their fathers will strongly stand. They won't...mbanu rather they try to bend the facts depicting another scenario that all is well.

My brother no mind them let them keep chasing shadows on nairaland everyday while losing structured attempt to bounce and wax stronger.

Idealism and realism are way apart. I am always realistic.

There is this saying that " What is logical is not always practical, What is practical is not always right, What is right is not always ethical, What is ethical is not always desired, What is desired takes us back to what is not always logical."

But many doesn't know this..

Why bordering yourself.

I once said that closure of Anambra border with Imo state is a waste of time because while govt may concentrate on major roads , people will be moving through all these routes.

True, at most they will just block osha/owerri road and ihiala/orlu road. I just hate it when some mofos keep saying you not Igbo cuz you dont share same political ideology with them. Someone even said Pazienza is not Igbo lol.
Truth is i am more of a reader on nairaland, and have learnt alot reading your comments (No time to please anyone, people dont have to like you. Your respect is paramount).

Oga chill he is very correct. Imo and Anambra boundry is plenty.
Ezinifite in Nnewi south Anambra shares boundry with Amaruru in Orsu lga Imo state.
Ihiala lga in Anambra shares boundry with both Oru east and Oru west lgas in Imo state. Border towns in these lgas include- Amaofuo/Uli, Amorka/Ozara, Awo omamma/Isseke etc..
Aguata also shares boundary with Arondizuogu and Akokwa both in Ideato.

Oga but Nsukka is a town/city now.. That a zone and local govt in Enugu state is named after a town does not mean the town does not exist.
