union court cases are not legally obliged to reach supreme court. union legal cases only end in appeal court. end of the road for ASUU the useless striker

No it isn't. It is for our unis future. Yes they want good salaries.(and they want a better method of payment, not IPPIS which messed them up)..but they also want better facilites, which the 2009 agreement goes into.

But crucially, they want standard universites that would still be cheap.

The calling off of the strike has basically left the increased fees option on the table. And since it is not popular, and we are poor, the government unis will depreciate further.

Maybe you can send your kids to private schools and universites...and no, I don't begudge you that...but most poor people are now left with badly funded univeristes which will now fall behind the private unis...all because government has no extra funds for improving universities.

At the end, as one VC said in 2018, you want Cambridge level, you pay the appropriate amount for it. Government does not want to pay for standard universites. Too bad for the poor.

Honestly if this is about politics then Fed govt should sanction ASUU seriously or possiblly ban it and outlaw it.

It's not apc who is suffering it now its the entire students affected suffering it.

FG has registered two more lecturers unions. ASUU came into this strike united, now they’re coming out with divisions as there is now ASUU, CONUA, and NAMDA, all fully registered, licensed by FG. They’ll soon start attracting junior lecturers to port from ASUU to CONUA.

ASUU powers needs to be clipped. Government most make sure they sign agreement of no work no pay this time around. That’s why they can comfortably go on strike for 8 months because they know government will still pay them . If Doctors are striking like ASSU Nigerians will be dying like flies .

If these ASUU senior men have their children In Nigeria schooling they won’t be offing like NEPA . Two months - three months strike is enough to ginger the government. Government must destabilize ASUU this time around their Wahala is too much .

It's actually a good thing for everything body, they should resume work after the industrial Court decision. Give government benefit of doubt.
Even if we all know government won't do anything. But give students a chance to resume. Some of them might not be able to go to NYSC of this strike enter next year like this.

you can’t go to the supreme court if you didn’t go to appeal court.


and they have gone to appeal court and it asked them to resume before their appeal will be granted. if they must go to supreme court they must resume because that’s the condition to go through appeal court, then thereafter supreme court.
