Before now, brilliant students were leaving the country to study in the West, most on full Scholarship. Majority don't return and will not return after their M.Sc/PhD. The number will increase now that the UK, US, Canada, Australia and others are giving work permit like crazy to students and increasing work hours. If the tuition fee is increased, we will promoting brain drain as we know it.

I used to support ASUU but it seems ASUUs selfishness have driven them to their Waterloo this time around.
I support this move by Ngige and the FG should be prepared to replace any mumu lecturer found wanting or not discharging their duties well.

What exactly is their problem? Went in strike for 9 months in 2020 and they still got paid for those months. Went on strike again 2022 for over 8 months and counting and they still want to be paid 8 months salaries as usual but I'm happy FG is calling their bluff to deal with them. No union is allowed to be a pain in the as$ of the people and government anywhere in the world.

The students have lost 8 months of their lives for ASUUs agitations, they also lost 8 months out of the rents they've paid in their respective campuses, that's enough sacrifice anyone could make yet ASUU doesn't want to sacrifice anything not even their salaries and instead, they're here threatening they won't lecture and using students as blackmail cos they won't be receiving the free 8 months salaries they looked forward to. FG should be prepared to fire any lecturer that as much as not carry out his/her duties well. Nonsense.

Why not? ASUU has the right to ask whatever they want but then the government has the right to do what it has power to do.
We have the right to ask for amenities but the government has the right to do what it can do. We cannot say because the government does not build roads then we'll not travel again. Since we have been asking for road is it all the roads that have been built.

how can someone who claims to be fighting for the weilbeing of the Education sector, yet they don't have any concern to the future of the Nigerian students, yet you are still demanding for payment of job not done.
can somebody help me tell ASSU that those poor Students at home will still pay for their house rent, even while they are at home as result of their Selfish greed.

I will only advice them to return back to school, because they have crossed the red line and from the way am seeing Buhari, the next thing is to fire all those lecturers and recruite the new ones.

Fg still needs to settle with ASUU whether they like it or not. ASUU can simply call off the strike so the court doesn’t hold them in contempt only to continue a day or a week after suspending the strike should Fg not settle with them and things will be right where they left off.

Claiming to be fighting for students by making them spend extra years in school for selfish agitations is the most delusional statement ever! What are you fighting for exactly?
