I laugh at people always hinting the this country is gonna be better one day. That day is never gonna come. A 13 year old boy taking beer,if u ask him now he will tell you he likes to be a yahoo boy in future. A country with failed leaders ,what do u expect. We are leaders of tomorrow but even ward chairman post we no dey see. If u got what it takes go outta naija and never return cause this country never loved us. CareerI Need To Relocate!!!please Advice Me by ebuka10box(op): 9:56am On Jan 14, 2019
I have stayed in Port Harcourt all my life,I'm a graduate and I'm 26 years old (note). I have tried lotta stuffs in this town but everything has failed. I started teaching when I finished my service but the pay wasn't good and it seemed like I was working without return, I started working with an estate firm. I thought it was gonna be easy compared to teaching but it seemed hard cause I was always on the road with clients but I wasn't getting the deals as expected. I have tried lot of things in this town but they don't end well. I decided maybe I should try relocating to the west(Lagos) ,I got lotta dreams and passion and I feel if I stay like this my dreams and passion are going to end up in the grave. My parents don't support me moving to the west even when they knoW things are not working out well for me in port harcourt. I'm tired of staying in this comfort zone,I'm not scared if trying the west and failing cause I feel victory is sure. Please nairalanders ,do y'all advice me to relocate ,I got nobody in Lagos though ,what's the cost of life there or should I stay back in port harcourt??
EducationDoes The Role Of A Parent/guardian Stop After Education by ebuka10box(op): 10:04am On Jan 11, 2019
I thought about this topic and decided to share your views and opinion. Most parents and guardians feel they have done more than enough when the child is out of school(graduate),so they leave the child to fend for himself /herself. This is very wrong and parents should please have plans for their children after university life. The educational system here in Nigeria is dead, nowadays skill and talent pays more than education. Parents should never compare their era with ours cause you can't compare the labour force in the 90's and now .There were many vacant jobs back then ,even heard of tea workers back then who are senior staffs in prolific companies right now . Have you ever asked yourself why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer , planning is the answer. These rich ones while in position pave way for their children while in office and make other means for their children to meet up in life. Never feel proud to help your child even if it means begging where help is gonna come from. I have seen a dad who came begging my boss on behalf of his son and his son definitely got a spot. In the Nigerian society ,there is noting like man-up except you want your child to join a gang or the yahoo squad. Past years ,the rate of rituals, yahoo, corruption and depression wasn't high cause we felt things were a lot easier and the labour force wasn't much but right now there are many graduates who are depressed and really wished their parents left something in stock for them. Education doesn't make a man,it's an opportunity to make a man. Don't leave that child hanging ,show the child the way and it doesn't stop at educational financing. We are Africans and we believe in the 'God Go Do Am'syndrome,God won't do anything if you dont show working . If Uche had a miracle job if miracle jobs really exist, you and Uche carry different grace . To all the job seekers out there,it's gonna be fine and parents don't abuse your child if he or she hasn't arrived . Make life sweeter for that child!!!! Insults are accepted sha!!!

Tell us the Department you graduated from, and from which university... federal, state or private?.

Which field of study are you planning to go for the Master Degree?

Is it academic masters or professional masters that you want to pursue?

Before application, go to the university and discuss with the HOD of concerned department. HODs are in charge of post graduate admissions, and you need to discuss with him or her for a go ahead to apply or not. Thank me later.
federal university of technology, owerri , studied geology..... Professional masters and would like to study petroleum engineering.

dundani:
Universities this days will say 2.2 starting from cgpa 3.00. However, with your result, some might consider you. I had a 2.98 cgpa and I am presently doing a master's program in a federal University in the south west. So you need to go to the school of your choice, don't just sit down at home or on nairaland, you will only get a general answer from nairaland. Go to the school, meet the HOD of your proposed department. He will advise you. It is the department that makes recommendations to the pg school to admit student
thanks

UNILAG accepts any kind of 2-2 so far you score high in the screening exam. In fact they don't need your transcript but only a photocopy of your certificate. A good number of 2-2 graduates scale through.
