Secondly, maybe your siblings were not raised with principles, but bottom line is that it's not your fault they are that way.

If you earned 1milliom dollars and sent then 70% of that, it will still come to nothing because the foundation is faulty. It makes no sense that you will now strip yourself completely in futility.

Your case is kinda delicate but not complicated, you need to have savings for unforeseen circumstances, you need to send your siblings something and not necessarily a huge part of your earnings. You are in debt already sef which implies you are spending above your earnings without you actually living it.

Seems you are not around, you can call a meeting and make it known to everyone to sit up and you all have to face life as a team with everyone bringing in something for the collective help of those who are not old enough to earn money or not viable enough just to cover up any lapses...

Your sister that is telling people you don't send money should be the least of your concern since only you know the efforts you make for them. For the land, it can be leased out for a long period of 5years to be renewed with proper documentation to avoid future wahala and the funds used for the good of all.

Forget people talking about you coming home empty handed, even if you come with hands and body filled up, will you have to show it to them to prove you did not come empty handed, if not it's not something to worry about, focus on your family and yourself and let everyone be a contributor as long as they are old enough.

Start thinking of your own self first and how to forge ahead with life. Especially now that your contract will soon expire. Make yourself a priority once in a while. It's not selfish. It's necessary.

This time last year ,I lost my dad and a month later I lost my mum,things have been tough cause I've been literally trying to carry everyone along so everyone depends on me.
I do everything out of love and sacrifice but I noticed it's just me against the world,no body helps me even at dying moments. My siblings are disappointing me cos they are living a very care free life,my only bro doesn't do what I ask him to do whenever I send him funds,even if he does it finally it could take months . My elder sister tells people that I don't send them money so I learnt she goes bout begging for funds and this really broke me.
I send over 70 percent of my earnings every month and I'm on serious debt now which I forfeited and ready to face the consequences (loan company). God knows only few persons can work for another to be gaining,I do all out of love and the fact that money is something I bliv its meant to be spent and I pity my siblings due to the loss of our parents.
I've got barely 6 months remaining in my contract and I've not saved a dime and my siblings ain't making me happy at all. Im planning to focus on my life a little cause I'll be back at the end of the contract.My siblings were advising me to sell my mums car or landed property but I declined cos I've lived this selling lifestyle before ,whatever u sell is gone forever and stormy days will still be there when I'm back to Nigeria. Is it advisable I just leave them (siblings) at this moment and focus a little on my life . Remember people will talk if I come home empty handed, moreover I don't think my siblings appreciates the effort I put in.

I've been using loan apps for 5 years and more and I haven't defaulted but this time around I git a lot on my shoulder and sincerely God knows I want to pay back my loans if possible but man I can't. Na only God fit help me this time around

I purposely opened this thread so i can let out all I'm passing through and feeling because I've been having suicidal thoughts. Right now as i speak, i can't even use my own original sim as a result of constant threats from people i owe.

Let me start this way. I used to be a very upright person who detested gambling. Even back in school when my then room mate used to, i looked at him somehow. Fast forward to after NYSC, just by hearing a discussion of how someone made 300k with 100 naira. I decided to try. I started out with 100 and then when 1 game cuts it, i will say i have hope. 100 sooned turned to me staking 1000 then i went out of control from there.

I started gambling on dog racing and before i knew it, u did the one which eventually wrecked me. I started gambling on instant virtual first on bet9ja before i moved to sportybet.

Last year was the worst. I made millions of naira but all when down the drain on virtual bets. There have been days when i can finish 500k in just an hour on virtual.

Right now I'm indebted to so many apps. My name has been broadcasted severally and people who used to look uo to me are wondering what went wrong. I don't know if i can ever build my image again. I'm so ashamed of myself that i don't know if i should live again. The problem is anytime i have money, even after saying i won't go back. Once I'm credited, i go straight to it. It won't be an exaggeration to say i have lost over 15m within the last 5 to 6 years I've been into this shameful habbit. Please i need help, i need advice maybe from someone who has gone through this phase successfully because I'm at the verge of ending it all. I used to be so responsible and now my life is not worth emulating at all right now.

Seriously I can't just believe at my age I still do the things I do.

Right now I am in deep hole of debts from these loan apps. Can you imagine someone taking loans from more than 10 apps? Yes that someone is me.

Presently if I should add up all the loans it will be close or more than 500k. The annoying thing is this is like 3yrs now I have been struggling with these apps.

I once was able to clear all the loans but like a dog going back to it's vomit, I still went back to them (I seriously need delivarence).

Why I'm so ashamed of myself is because I didn't take these loans mostly because I don't have a good source of income but because I don't know how to save and I am very extravagantly wasteful. I loving feeling rich, I can buy beer and flex anyone those I know and those I don't.

Thought getting married will help but for where like I got worst after that.

I seriously don't know how to come out of this mess I dragged myself into. Because these loan apps will only give you 7days loan with very high interest. I have been servicing these loans throughout last year and I don't want to continue this year.

I have already spent more than 200k this month alone on interest alone because I have to borrow again to be able to pay others.

I'm owing the following apps:

5. Palm credit 70k and counting this is long over due.

I'm even scared to add the total but this my current reality. Virtually all are 7days loan.

I don't know how a sane human being can get to this stage, I don't want to attribute anything to anyone or some village people. This is my owing making, and I have been living with this burden for long. I was hoping to get a job that will pay me like 500k at once but none for now.

I dont even know what next to do. I have alot of other responsibilities to cater for.

I don't even have friends or relatives I can run to. I am writing this because I deserve all the insults in the whole world. I deserve to the stoned. Though I will never take my life because of this, God forbid but I can't grow with these on my neck and it's really weighing me down.

I can't remember when last I genuinely smiled or laughed.

I'm determined to find a way to over come this problem. That's why I'm here.

I know you guys will come for my head but I'm already in this shot so I will accept any insult. But please if someone can say something to help me a little I will appreciate.

I'm not breathing fine but I'm currently harvesting what I planted.

Wish I can get a counselor or therapist who can help me because I'm scared that even if I suffer and clear these I might not learn my lesson because it has happened before.

There things your siblings can start doing to make the process easy and save some time by taking the following steps while waiting for the convenient time to visit home.

1. Any of your siblings can help to get the Death Certificate of your parents from National Population Commission......each should cost between 2k to 5k.
2. Any of your siblings can help to the High Court in your state of origin and ask for the Probate Section and collect the a form....between 2k and 5k
3. They can send you a copy of the Probate Form for you to study and know the information required...(they are basic information you are familiar with).

When you have the opportunity to visit home
4. (a) Fill the Probate Forms. And submit the Probate Form to the court.
4. (b) Get a Bank Confirmation Letter for all the banks they used from the court...go to any major branch of the banks.
4. (c.) For shares go to the their Stock Brokers office and ask for the procedure of claiming their shares.

5. Don't involve in any struggle or agitation to claim any ancestral land.

You need to weigh the options.
Depending on what the assets are, if the are landed properties....... secure the documents and get a trusted solicitor (get one by referral) to manage the assets.

If they are shares and money in bank, start the process of getting a letter of administration next time you are opportune to come back home. It takes between 3 to 12 months. Just submit the documents to the court and get someone to help you follow-up.

Although it takes time, you don't have to be present through-out the process....you can file/submit the required documents to the court and allow your siblings to follow-up.

However if you feel relocating will offer you more income, then you need to come back....but consider the risk and current hash operating current environment for investments.

In all don't be in haste to relocate now.
