Guys, has anyone who recently applied for e-visa under Tourism received a positive outcome?

I want to know the current trend please.

Please, who can give me a lead on which hotel in Jo'burg allows a reservation without paying. I can't pay agent again please.

its not....i applied for two people last week. one was approved the other was turned down....they responded after 4days

Seems that will be the best thing to do.

I'm thinking along that line, but will rather submit physically. At least they can not say statement is invalid when they can see it in front f them.

I and 2 other of my friends were also just rejected for invalid bank statement.

We noticed it recently. There has been many rejections for people that applied specifically in March and have their travel date passed.

As at today, my children's application and that of their uncle and Aunts that were supposed to travel with us were all refused. Reason "Travel date elapsed"

But invalid technically speaking means they can not view your documents.

When you uploaded, did you verify if it was uploaded by clicking the viewing icon.

Naa. It was a pdf file, it didn't have a code and all pages were stamped and signed.

I feel they are just looking for an excuse to refuse because the date for the event already passed.

SA refused my evisa application for the reason “invalid bank statement”.
This is utter rubbish because bank statements uploaded were genuine. The graduation program we were supposed to travel for have been done since close to 2 weeks ago.

Who understands the meaning of “invalid bank statement” please?

Just reapply instead of doing that,but in your re-application you can submit the refusal letter in addition with the rectified reason for refusal(back up with a letter from your lawyer)they will release the visa with speed.

What type of letter might this be please?

Is South Africa still approving evisas?

I'm shocked to read these. Those of you that applied this month and received your visas are lucky.

Applications have been pending since March that they are yet to make decision on.

My question is does your husband have a previous SA visa?

Several.

Was in SA for his Post Doc for 2 years, then this recent PhD which graduation he just traveled for.

But I can't tell if he was allowed based on his previous visas.

They put all Nigerians with evisa in a cramped room and interview each one to know the actual intent of the person.

If they feel that there is something off, they keep you there and arrange paperwork to send you back.

This is the position as at yesterday!

I can confirm first hand that South Africa were about to send back 24 out of the 25 Nigerians that arrived OR Thambo yesterday night with Air Peace. Out of 25, only my husband was let go to continue with immigration process and entry after an interview with all Nigerians with eVisa.

If you use the Vfs evisa site you will get it in 2 weeks or less

That's the site we used, and it is going to 5 weeks now since submission

My evisa tourist application and that of my kids were submitted exactly 1month ago, and we're still yet to get an update up till now.
My husband's own which was submitted 3 days before ours had been approved since 4th of April.

Is there an option for fast tracking? Date presented for travel is just around a week from today. Kindly advise.

If you attended a two year program then you qualify for a three year PGWP.

My candid advice, let hubby apply for a Spousal OWP, along with your son. As long as you both have enough funds in your accounts to sustain your family and with a well worded LOE or SOP, you can be almost certain that the visa is his.

Btw, why didn't hubby apply for this long before now? I mean few months into your study?

This is weird! !!, got medical mail July 3rd, my passport was dispatched before stipulated time given for my medicals, got my passport and it was a denial. Purpose of visit, travel history, family times to country n personal asset and financial status was selected, even though I had paid over $7k tuition deposit, added my landed properties and closing personal soa of over 3.9m just for a year PG prog.This is crazy, if they wanna be frustrating Nigerians from schooling in canada, it's high time they made this known!!!

This is really unbecoming! 3 cases within a short time. There is obviously something wrong with CIC's system, but whatever it is, we hope it can be quickly resolved.

As @teesboy suggested, it's imperative that affected persons send case specific email to CIC, in the long run, we will know the reason why this happened.

It's not advisable to assume in this kind of situation, clarity is best sought.

However, you will need to submit your supporting documents either directly to the school's international office via email or post, or you can upload your documents on their online portal, if the school has that option available.
