Family / Re: How Many Times A Week Should Married Couples Have Sex by ecenter(m): 3:39am On Feb 21, 2019
Having sex in marriage has no speculated time table but the following simple rules could help.

1. Have sex when you desire it (both party)

2. Have sex when your partner wants it but you don't feel like to having it. The bible said the man or the woman has not power over his body, meaning that when your partner needs it,give it to him or her. The only time you will say no is when you want to fast or when you are seriously sick. 1 Cor.7:3-5

3. Have sex when you want to embark on a journey that you will stay for sometime.

4. Have sex to increase your love for your partner. Sex increases the bond of love and delivers us from temptation.

In conclusion, there is no number of time created for us to have sex. It depends on the couple involved. If both of them decided to have sex everyday and they have the stamina to do so, there is nothing wrong with that. But those who feel that having sex at a limited time without causing quarrel, let it be. This issue is person by person's choice. What you love, someone may hate. Just stick to what works for you.

Romance / Re: I Now Enjoy Having Regular S**x With My Dad - Nkechi by ecenter(m): 9:28am On Oct 08, 2015
There is nothing too surprising here on earth. Your dad sleeping with you is not new. The only thing I can advice is that you should go for deliverance. You need to repent and receive Jesus as your lord and personal savior. Your father also needs Jesus and deliverance. May be he is into cultism.Because only those who are into secret society do such a thing.

Please do all you can to avoid your father visiting you, since you are now fending for your self. It is a big sin sleeping with your father. Repent and give your life to Jesus for he is the only person to save you from this evil

Health / The Dangers Of Obesity by ecenter(m): 6:16pm On Aug 16, 2015
A person is considered obese if he is very overweight with a high degree of body fat. Some experts believe obesity is responsible for more ill health than smoking. Being significantly overweight is linked to a wide range of health problems, including:
• Diabetes
• Heart disease
• High blood pressure
• Arthritis
• Indigestion
• Gallstones
• Some cancers (eg, breast and prostate cancers)
• Snoring
• Stress, anxiety, and depression
• Infertility and many more.

The most common way to assess if a person is obese is to check their body mass index. BMI is calculated by dividing your weight in kilograms by your height in metres squared.

If your BMI is above 25 you are overweight. A BMI of 30-40 is considered obese, while above 40 is very obese. A BMI of less than 18.5 is underweight.

Another useful method is to take a waist measurement because fat in the centre of the body (apple-shaped obesity) is much more strongly linked to health risks than fat more widely distributed on the arms and legs. Women with a waist of 80 cm or greater and men with a waist of 94cm or greater are more likely to develop obesity-related health problems.

Why do people become obese?

On average a physically active man needs around 2,500 calories per day, while a woman needs 2,000. If we eat any more, the extra energy is stored for later use, mostly as fat.
This mechanism was life-saving during our hunter-gatherer days when food was often scarce. However, the boom in plentiful, cheap food, coupled with a general decrease in physical activity, means that those stores of fat are rarely called on. Instead they continue to grow.

So why don't people just stop eating foods high in fat and sugar if they know they can cause physical problems? Scientists are still searching for the answers, but it appears that our brains have been wired to encourage the consumption of calorie-rich foods, even at the expense of good health. Quite simply, these foods bring us pleasure.

One recent study revealed that an area of the brain related to addiction and reward - the nucleus accumbens - lights up when a participant is shown calorie rich, fatty foods compared to healthy food.

Another area of the brain associated with pleasant tastes and reward, called the orbitofrontal cortex, is activated when we eat fatty foods.
At the same time, people are increasingly living more sedentary lifestyles and therefore burning fewer calories.

Studies have also shown that housewives in the 1950s were significantly slimmer than women today. This could be because their daily lives involved much more physical activity, including walking more and having fewer labour-saving devices.
Therefore, some scientists argue that the rise in obesity is a result of our bodies' inability to adapt to the changing environment.
According to the NHS, another reason obesity is on the rise is because unhealthy eating habits are often passed down through families, due to a lack of good food education.

Unless obesity is tackled, the experts predicts that 60% of men, 50% of women and 25% of children in the world will be obese by 2050 and that can be very detrimental. I Want to ask you, what are you doing about that excess fat in your body? Nothing? Hmmm, you better wake up and do something about it before it kills you. Next we meet I will tell you how to get that fat inside out of you
Religion / Living In The Supernatural by ecenter(m): 1:00pm On Jun 23, 2015
Friends,
I want to use this opportunity to share with you how you can be an embodiment of power in your Christian journey. How you can demonstrate the power of God in your life no matter who you are. You may be a month old Christian, or might have spent many years as a Christian, yet you have not experienced the power of God before. This post is for you.

Many so called Christians want God to use them, but they don't know how to go about it. Let me ask you, Do you normally get tired of the way you talk, that is you speak words that don't edify anyone? or do you struggle to overcome sexual thoughts, or you can't control yourself when you are angry?
Again do you feel jealous when a friend of yours is prospering? Do you struggle to pray for 30 minutes or one hour? You can't concentrate when a sermon is going on? All these flaws are as a result of your falling nature. Man inherited falling nature that is carnal, incapable of loving and serving God. The book of Romans said that such a person who leaves in the flesh is an enemy to God (Rom 8:6-

Now straight to what I want to share with you. How can you overcome these carnal natures you inherited from your parents? That is where am going. The answer is very simple. You have to pray in TONGUE. Praying in TONGUE is a Christian experience that takes place when one is first born again, and is baptized in the Holy Spirit, see Acts 2:1-4. On the day of Pentecost as believers gathered at a place, the Holy Spirit came upon them and they began to speak in tongue.

As a Christian if you have not experienced speaking in tongue according to the Bibles injunctions, you better do so, because this is where power am talking about comes.
Now let’s assume you are speaking in tongues. But do you speak in tongues on a regular basis? Am hearing you say no. Here is the problem many believers who are speaking in tongues have. They received the person of the Holy Spirit sent by God to help them, yet they are empty. The book of Romans 8:26
''Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered''

If the spirit is sent to help your weakness, how does He do that? This can only be possible through your allowance or your ability of speaking in tongues. Let me tell you what speaking in tongues does:

1. when you speak in tongues, you edify yourself-1Cor 14:4.To edify, means to charge yourself up. Just like you charge your battery for effective functions. For example, you may be feeling very upset, or worn out due to stress or the challenges of life, instead of allowing yourself down, just begin to speak in tongues, spend quality time speaking in tongues, you will realize great power from within.

2. Praying in tongues is also known as praying in the spirit. So when you pray in tongues, you‘re ushering yourself into the realm of the supernatural. How do I mean, when you pray in the spirit, it’s your spirit communicating to God directly. By so doing you enter into the spiritual realm where demons or Satan cannot understand what you are saying to God. Since speaking in tongues is prayer directly to God, you are speaking the mind of God in prayer. You are telling God what your natural senses cannot understand. It is only God that understands you. Now let me tell you, what you are telling God in prayers by praying in tongues: you are talking to God about your divine purpose for your life. The very reason why you are created here to fulfill. Every one of us has a purpose by which they are created here on earth. Have you discovered the purpose of God in your life? Can you categorically say, this or that are the reasons why am created here on earth? So praying in tongues exposes the purpose of God in your life. Therefore, give yourself enough time to speak in tongues.

3. Speaking in tongues make the word of God come alive. The word of God is written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and only those who are filled with the Holy Spirit can understand the Bible. Therefore when you are speaking in tongues you open up your spiritual antenna, to receiving from God. When you speak extensively in tongues, you may be reading a portion of the Bible you don't have understand about, but because you have soaked yourself in the Holy Spirit through speaking in Tongue, you will be surprised that the same portion of the scripture you have been reading before without understanding, you see the same portion of the Bible jumping out of the book, arresting your mind, by that time you will have better understanding of that portion. Hope you understand what am sharing.
There are other examples of the importance of speaking in tongues, but let me stop here for now till next I come up with the remaining points.
Family / Re: I Am Tempted To Commit Adultery. Help! by ecenter(m): 3:46pm On Aug 27, 2014
My advice is that you be patient with her, knowing that the marriage started with God. Again the subject of sex in marriage is a sensitive one. In fact it is the major ingredients that makes the marriage work out. Therefore you need serious help on how to enjoy sex with your wife.

Know these tips about women as regard to sex.
1. Women, generally don't get sexually attracted like we men do. How do I mean? a man is sexually ready immediately he hears or sees the sensitive part of his wife, but a woman in most cases does not. A woman is naturally created to respond to sex by touch, and romantic words.
Now this brings me to the main tip, that will make her wet, even beg for more.

Try fore-play. Fore-play is the preliminary love approach a man does before penetration into his wife. Most men are impatient, once they are ready they just penetrate into their wives, stroking back and forward, and as a result will end up within minutes ejaculate, leaving the women unsatisfied.
But fore-play will do the magic you have been expecting in your wife. Let me tell you, she will be the one begging you to enter her. And when you do , you will find out hat she is already wet.

Now, start by kissing her, using your tongue to rob the clitoris, clitoris the out layer on the surface of the vagina, like a hood. You can as well use your penis gently touch the tip of the clitoris. After that , get to work with mouth kissing, caresses, soft touch of her body, arms, legs etc.

Now use your tongue to touch the tip of her breast, the nipple. See all this time you don't have anything to do with penetration. When will you think of penetration? She will demand for it. By the time you concentrate on all I just told you to do, she will be gradually getting ready for the main action. How will you know, her breathing will change, she will be breathing very fast.

Now when you eventually want to insert your penis inside her vagina, please caution must be taken. We have two types of penetrations:
1.) Shallow penetration (2) Deep penetration. Shallow penetration is when you don't fully insert your penis inside her. At this time just the tip of the penis goes inside her. Why? Because experts say that such penetration causes the woman to be sexually aroused. Again it will help the man not to ejaculate easily.

As you maintain the shallow trust, you will begin to advance to deep penetration as soon as you notice she is demanding for it. Please be careful here. Don't trust inside her as if you are hitting a hard surface, remember she is a human being. Gently trust back and forward until she gets to the peak (orgasm) of the whole thing. At this time she will release, then you too can eventually release. wink

Religion / Re: Will A Born Again Christian Commit Adultery? by ecenter(m): 10:03pm On Dec 15, 2011
when I use the word True or Real  Christians it is meant to differentiate them from the fake ones . Since the common logic that anybody who is not

a Muslim is a Christian, then we know that there are nominal Christians and Real Christians. Nominal Christians are those who go to church but they

are not born again. While real Christians are those who are born again and are also dedicated to living for the lord all the rest of their lives.

Now coming to the question whether I have committed sin since My 24years I got born again is not relevant in this Threat.

The Bible says those who are born again don't continue in sin (1jon 3:9) meaning that they can sin mistakenly and also repent and move on.

I don't believe that A true Child of Cannot sin. If he is not working with the spirit of God he will work in the flesh. And working in the flesh is living in sin.

God has made provision for our sins committed mistakenly, however that is never an excuse for any to live in sin. My daily prayers is that God Should help live above sin.

Unbelievers enjoy sin while Christian weep when they sin by mistake. Read (1Jon 1:9;2:1-5)

Fellow forumites Am not claiming perfection by my own power but remain humble to God who only strengthens the weak.

Every Christian will give account of his stewardship to God at the last day. Therefore flee sin, especially the sin of Adultery.
Religion / Re: Will A Born Again Christian Commit Adultery? by ecenter(m): 12:12am On Dec 15, 2011
A true child of God will not deliberately commit Adultery. It is not that he cannot commit Adultery. That one is born again does not prevent him from Temptation. In fact being born again opens the door of Temptation wider.

So let everyone that calls himself a believer be very careful the way he lives so that he will always resist the devil.

If a born again christian lives carelessly,  especially always coming closer to the opposite sex without care, he may likely fall into the sin of adultery.

A man of God said , ''The closer you are with an opposite sex the weaker you become.'' Am not of the sect that preaches that one should not relate with opposite sex.(A brother in Christ relating with a sister of the same Denomination) But my argument  based on the Thread posted is that anyone who calls himself a christian has to be very careful the way he relates with an opposite sex.

Of course it's possible for one to relate with an opposite sex and still remain Holy. For it is only those whose motives and  level of Dedication to God are high that can do that.

If really you are truly born again you should not play with your Christianity.

I remember when I gave my life to Jesus 24years ago. The first Temptation that  came to me was for me to commit fornication with my former girl friend.

What saved me was the fear of God. On that day, I came to their house at night to buy some items and  nobody was at home.

Because she had not known I was born again she wanted me to sleep with her.  But By the grace of God I escaped. From that day till today I have remained faithful to my vow to God.

Dedicated Christians don't sin. But if they fall mistakenly they rise again and continue the journey.

So in conclusion a  Born again christian cannot commit adultery provided he or she lives and walks in the Spirit.
Religion / Is Christmas A Pagan Feast? by ecenter(m): 11:37pm On Dec 14, 2011

Religion / Worshipping In The Spirit - Flesh by ecenter(m): 9:14pm On Oct 13, 2011
True Worship:

John 4:23-24

23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
NKJV

Is there a difference in worshiping in the spirit as apposed to worshiping in actions of the flesh?

Philippians 3:1-3

3 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe.

2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation!

3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,
NKJV

It seems to me that worship with the actions of the flesh is not worshiping in the spirit. What do you think?
Religion / Re: Is 'speaking In Tongue' Real? by ecenter(m): 10:12pm On Oct 11, 2011
Yes speaking in tongue is real, because the Bible said so.You can see it in the book of Acts 2:1-5.

Speaking in tongue is an experiential thing. You can not fake it, neither can you deny it because you are not speaking it.

It is a heavenly language, and it is for dedicated Christians.
Religion / If Your Spouse Is Spiritually Dead, Can You Re-marry? by ecenter(m): 8:14am On Oct 07, 2011
The Bible teaches that marriage is meant for life ''until death''. We always interpret this to mean 'carnal death'. What about spiritual death (separation from God)? - When your spouse is living in sin that makes him spiritually dead. Don't you think that she should be separated from you?

please, I need your contributions.Be logical and not abusive please.
Religion / Re: Tempted To Assist A Family With God's Money (Tithe) by ecenter(m): 9:25am On Oct 05, 2011
Tithe is God's money. Although it is meant to take care of the needy and the ministers in the house of God. Now my humble counsel is that you should pray with Him. And if he is worshiping with you at the same church tell the senior pastor the problem.
But if you give him the Tithe, remember it is not your money, therefore you don't have the absolute power to give it out.God will not judge you for not giving out the money because it is unethical to use church money in ones hand.

Except you are hundred percent sure that you will replace the money before the church asks of it. Otherwise please don't touch it .
God will always make a way when there is no way. He will make a way for the brother in need, that is my prayer.
Religion / What Is The Meaning Of Apologetics? by ecenter(m): 6:23am On Oct 02, 2011
1. The Meaning Of Apologetics

The word Apologetics comes from the Greek word "apologia" which means "to give a defense" (1) and it implies a defense supported by specific reasons and thought. This is the same kind of defense a defense attorney might give on behalf of his client, using reasons and arguments to prove innocence.

The concept of apologetics isn't unique to Christianity, either. In a more general sense, anytime a person is asked to defend a position or a belief in some system, he is asked for an apologetic. However, it seems the concept of rationally defending your convictions in today's society isn't valued as much as it had been previously. Professors may speak of someone's apologetic, but the phrase has fallen out of use in the popular vernacular.

In the Bible, the most famous apologetics passage is 1 Peter 3:15 where the Apostle commands believers to "sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense (apologia) to everyone that asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and respect."

2. The Nature of Apologetics

So what does Christian apologetics entail? The above passage in 1 Peter sets forth the nature of what Christian apologetics should be. Good apologetics needs to be based on reason, it needs to be knowledgeable, and it needs to be done in a spirit of gentleness and respect.

THINGS NEEDED FOR GOOD APOLOGETICS.

A.Good Reasoning

First, our arguments should be rational and based on good reasoning, again like a trial attorney. This is a very important point, since so many people today seem to view faith and reason as concepts in tension or conflict with each other.

Because apologetics at its core deals with ,facts- truths. Therefore it demands a continual examination of questions about the truth.Questions like the followings are frequently asked: "Is Christianity true?" "Did Jesus really rise from the dead?" "How can I know if God exists?"

The Apostle Paul understood this well. In 1 Thessalonians he commands us to "examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good". This is a remarkable passage. So certain was Paul of the reasonableness of Christianity, he actually challenges believers to test its truth claims against all others. If another is more rational, then you should believe it instead! Rationality therefore becomes an important part of Christian apologetics and Christianity in general.

B.Knowledgeable

Because apologetics needs to be rational, it is important for the apologist to become more knowledgeable about Christianity as well as opposing arguments. In order to provide sound reasons for the hope of Christ, we have a responsibility to understand what others believe so we don't caricature their beliefs or build straw man arguments, or become foolish when talking about our faith.

Many people get concerned at this point, thinking something like "Well, I guess I can't do apologetics. I don't know that much. I'm just not that smart." But being knowledgeable doesn't mean that you need to have a bunch of facts about world religions memorized. It first means listening to the other person and asking questions to make sure you understand their position. It also means that you know where to go to find answers to those arguments you're confronted with, and you should always strive to understand the Christian faith more clearly. Paul again warns that mature Christians should be able to handle the Scripture accurately, "rightly dividing the Word of truth".

C.Gentle & respectful

Not only should apologetics be approached Rationally and knowledgably, but it should also be executed with sensitivity to the thoughts and feelings of other individuals. Remember, faith is a central part of our self-identity; it's how we understand who we are. Faith is so fundamental to a person's understanding of himself and how he relates to the world. An attack on his faith can be viewed as an attack against him. So if the Christian just bashes a person because of the beliefs he or she holds, then his arguments become nothing more than noise. Remember, we are commanded to be "wise as serpents but gentle as doves."

3. The Need for Apologetics

Now, it sounds like apologetics is a lot of work, and that's probably true. In the church today, Christians want to have their faith, but leave the "heavy lifting" to professionals. However, it's not just important for believers to know why they believe something, it's absolutely necessary. So what are the Needs of Apologetics? Why should a christian study Apologetics? These are question we shall be answering now.

i.It Helps Us Deepen Our Relationship with God.

One reason we need to develop a good apologetic is it draws us into a closer relationship with God. Jesus taught us this in Matthew 22:37. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." If we are commanded to love God with all our minds, then we need to continue to become more aware of who He is, so that our worldview is aligned with God's.

Paul properly demonstrated the same idea when he said to the Christians in Rome, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed, by the renewing of your mind." (Rom.12:2) Also, notice the first part of 1 Peter 3:15, "but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense, ". By making a defense, we sanctify the Lord in our hearts.

ii.Apologetics Helps Secure Our Faith.

Besides drawing us closer to God, accurate knowledge helps us during our trials of faith. We all know that in Christianity there are trying periods. Jesus didn't promise a trial free Christianity. In that case if as a christian you find yourself in diverse trials of Faith what you need is the assurance that the lord is with you. And there is no other way for that assurance to come if not through thorough search of the reality of life which being an Apologist will help you.

4. Protection From Heretical Teachings.
The last point I want to highlight is a good apologetic will also protect Christians from believing heretical teachings. Heresy simply means falsehood or false teachings that abound everywhere.

Many of the modern cults we see today got their start in the revival movements of the early 19th century(2). Many of these cults gained a foothold because people were eager to believe in God, but had no disciplined and thoughtful people to show them why certain teachings could not be true.

Even now controversial teachings are creeping into the evangelical church. For example, a recent research showed that although most Christians believe in God, 50% Protestants believe that Satan is not a real being but just a symbolic form. Again more than two out of every five adults believe Jesus that Jesus died for the sins he committed. To them Jesus is not a savior but an impostor.

(3) Homosexual marriage and other social issues have also crept into the church. Many now conform to the world, loving the world than to Christ.

In that case what are we to do ? Is there any solution? Do we fold our hands and watch all these happen? No, We have the answer, which to reprove the world. The lord has Commanded us to teach the world the Truth. This is the essence of Apologetics.

Another thing to note in the passages above is they are all commandments, not suggestions. It's a lie of the enemy that we don't need to try and grow intellectually to deepen our relationship with God. For one thing, we need apologetics to effectively evangelize.

Jesus used it in Matt. 22 when the Sadducees tested Him on the question of the resurrection.

Paul used apologetics constantly to demonstrate the truth of Christ; the most famous episode occurs in Acts 17 on Mars Hill, but Acts 19:8 is another great example. There, it says Paul "entered the synagogue and continued speaking out boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God."

Paul reasoned and persuaded his audience, using arguments to bring others to Christ. Likewise, we are obligated to share the truth with those who don't know. Remember - they're lost! The Great Commission of Matthew 28:19 is as relevant here as in other forms of evangelism. We need to teach the world and apologetics is one way we do so.

4. How Do We Do Apologetics?

In all of this, I've demonstrated the need for apologetics, but how does an ordinary Christian go about in honing their apologetic skills? Does it take years of seminary or college? Not really. Just like every other facet of the Christian walk, developing reasoning skills is a life-long pursuit. But here are a few tips that everyone can do to get them started on that road.

1.Preparation

The first thing to do when beginning to study apologetics is just to gather a list of good resources you can rely on. Knowing where to go for answers whenever a difficult issue presents itself can help immeasurably. Bookmark good apologetics Web sites.

You should also build a good library of books dealing with theological and apologetic issues. Start with texts that cover a broad range of topics, on Apologetics.

2. Pick A Topic
Once you've established a basic library of knowledge, pick an issue or Topic that you'd like to discuss. Pick something you feel strongly about. Perhaps you saw an editorial in the local paper where you disagree; perhaps you have a co-worker who has an objection with Christianity. Whatever the motivator, choose one issue and start researching on it. learn as much as you can on it. Make sure that you listen to the opposing views before generating an answer. Ask questions of you opponent and restate his position back to him, or have someone else without a vested interest review your answer before you publish it. It's important to learn both sides of an issue so you aren't building a straw man.

3.Be On the Offensive.

Lastly, go on the offensive.Publish your article, online or off line. As a member of this forum, you can post a new topic. I mean a topic that will be a blessing to all of us, Rather than being abusive and myopic.

Then you can as well write a letter to the editor of any publishing house of you choice. Consequently, you can Ask others what reasons they have to hold to their belief system. Don't be like most Christians, who have formed the habits of only defending their beliefs. Rather teach in a way that - non-believers should be able to offer reasons for what they believe, too!. Be accommodating or rather do what we call ''Win-Win Approach'' in communication.
When you respect other peoples' views in matters they will respect yours too.

Having seen the importance of Apologetics it is now your responsibility to start making use of his knowledge to teach what the lord approves. Go out there to help someone who is dying in ignorance. For great is your reward!
Religion / Adam Committed Fornication With Eve. by ecenter(m): 7:17pm On Sep 25, 2011
I heard from a renowned preacher that Adam committed fornication with his wife Eve. This preacher's argument was that the tree at the center of the garden was a symbol of Eve and that the center of the garden where the tree was planted  was Eve's sex organ that Adam ate.

Is this theory true? What is your own opinion?
Religion / Re: Adam Was Not The First Man Created. by ecenter(m): 5:46pm On Sep 25, 2011
I have still two scriptures to prove that the The world created in verse 3 of Genesis is the second creation. After the  first creation was marred by the  disobedience of Devil, also known as  Lucifer, God  had to create the second world. The world of Adam.''

I would like us to act maturely over issues like this because nobody is a bundle of knowledge. What am sharing is A Theological facts which only few know about.

However let me use two biblical portions to drive home the point that the world of Adam was not the first world that God created.

1. The first scripture is in the book of Isaiah 45:18: ''For this is the word of the Lord who made the heavens; he is God; the maker and designer of the earth; who made it not to be a waste, but as a living-place for man: I am the Lord, and there is no other''. (BBE)

Here explains why God decided to recreate the chaotic world. His intention of creation is for the earth to be inhabited. Even when the world of Noah sinned because of this intention of God in creating the earth, He preserved the family of Noah and raised another race through them, so that the world would not be empty.

2. Let us see another portion of the Bible in the book of Jeremiah 4:23 ''I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was waste and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.''

What world was this portion talking about if not the world before Adam? There had not been any world without light than the world before Adam. The destruction through flood during the Noahic deluge had light, and was not Chaotic.

Let us look at another verse in the same Jeremiah. 4:25 ''I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled''.

Do you really understand what verse 25,said? There was no MAN what man?Now to answer this question let us look at the Noahic dispensation. When God destroyed with water, God didn't destroy everybody. The destruction by flood in the time of Noah had 8 people who survived the flood. So which world is the Bible referring to that had no man? Of course, the world before Noah.

v 26 ''I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful field was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of Jehovah, [and] before his fierce anger''.

Here again said that All the field and cities were broken down. If you add it to verse 25 which says there is no man you would believe that there had been a world that ever existed before the world of Adam.

Flood had been the instruments of destruction. God used it for the first world in Gen 1:2, He also used it for the second world in Gen7: 11 ¶ ''In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, all the fountains of the great deep came bursting through, and the windows of heaven were open; (BBE)

Then latter he promised not to use water to destroy the world again.Gen.9: 11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. (KJV)

If the flood in the time of Noah was the first, God would not have promised not to destroy the world with water again. So there had been a  world that existed  before Adam. That world was managed by Lucifer. so when he rebelled against God he also corrupted the people of that world and led them to sin against God. So the anger of God kindled against them and he had to destroy them with water.
Religion / Adam Was Not The First Man Created. by ecenter(m): 8:48am On Sep 24, 2011
In Genesis 1:1-2 v 1 ¶ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (KJV)
v2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. (KJV)

The Bible said that God created Heaven and Earth, perfectly, then the heaven was alright, but the earth was chaotic. It is believed by Biblical Scholars that there had been a world like that of Adam that existed before the creation of Adam. So the creation of the world in Gen 1:3 is called the second creation. The first was marred, that was why the Bible said that the ''Earth was without Form and void''.
Do you believe that? What is your own opinion?
Religion / Re: Benefits Of Paying Tithes by ecenter(m): 8:22am On Sep 24, 2011
I am a christian and also a bible scholar, teaching in three bible schools. The issue of Tithe is controversial, very many people don't believe in paying of Tithe while good numbers of Christian not only pay Tithes but teach the payment of it.
This subject does not warrant insult or proving who knows the bible or not.
I said that during the time of Jesus because Tithe to his audience being the Jews was not a problem, they knew they should pay it, therefore Jesus didn't feel like over flogging the issue. See that in Luke:18:12 I fast twice in the week; I give tithes of all that I get.

In this text it was a Jew speaking about his Tithe payment as part of his religious rites.

Still apostle Paul preached about tithe in the book of Heb 7:5 And they indeed of the sons of Levi that receive the priest's office have commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though these have come out of the loins of Abraham:

Heb 7:6 but he whose genealogy is not counted from them hath taken tithes of Abraham, and hath blessed him that hath the promises.

Heb 7:8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there one, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

Heb 7:9 And, so to say, through Abraham even Levi, who receiveth tithes, hath paid tithes;
(ASV)

So with all these my fellow forumites this issue is meant to teach us God's principles and to make us quarrel. I still love you all. I will be glad to receive a better teaching , I mean Biblical teaching that will prove that paying of Tithe now in this dispensation is obsolete.
Religion / Re: Benefits Of Paying Tithes by ecenter(m): 2:52am On Sep 24, 2011
Actually according to dispensational Theology we are in the dispensation of Grace. When Jesus came His death terminated the dispensation of Law and ushered in the Dispensation of Grace.

Now concerning the issues at hand- Tithe, let me still say something about it for more clarification:

Tithe paying started before the dispensation of law. Abraham who was the first to pay Tithe paid his Tithe to Melchizedek the priest of Salem. And it was at the dispensation of Promise he did that.(Gen 14:18-20.)The dispensation of promise came before the law.

Although the new testament didn't talk much about Tithe because it wasn't challenged by the Jews who were paying Tithes. ( Lu 11:42)

The Christians of those days were Jews who were converted into Christianity. So they understood the doctrine of paying of Tithes.

However, even though the New testament didn't speak much about Tithe paying , we have only one place that the issue of Tithe came up; that was in the book of Hebrews. Heb 7:1-6  2 ''To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; (KJV)
Religion / Re: Do Religious Differences Matter In Relationships? by ecenter(m): 9:31pm On Sep 23, 2011
Relationship is the mutual coming together of two or more people for some benefits. Now as regards to the issue at hand, my own opinion is that religion should not separate good friends if really they understand what friendship is all about. As a christian it is true that the bible warned against relating with unbelievers, in 2cor 6:14.

But permit me to say this,''It is impossible to live here on earth without having something to do with those of different faith''. Because tell me how this world will look like if someone says that as a christian or one of different religion, he would not relate with those of different faith when he knows that he must have business transaction with those who are not members of his faith.

Or if one says because he belongs to a particular religion, that he will not work in a company of a man of another religion. To me this is just lack of understanding of God's principles, especially the one in the Bible in (2cor 6:14-18). What the bible is talking about in (2cor.6:14-18) is the issue of marriage relationship.

In marriage relationship a christian, should marry a fellow Christian. Like wise those of other faith or religion. The reason is that where there is no understanding both could be quarreling over whose religion to concentrate on.

Now let me say this, relationship are of different categories. We have ''Healthy relationship and Unhealthy relationship''.

Healthy relationship is the one that helps you learn new things and develop your God given potentials.Such kind of relationship doesn't ask what religion one belongs. So long as the relationship has some elements of positive and creative benefits on both parties, it is good.

The Unhealthy relationship is the relationship that corrupts your own morale attitude. If a relationship changes your relationship from good to bad, to me run away from such kind of person, even if the person belongs to the best religion. What matters here is what you gain from a relationship and not which religion one belongs.

But for marital relationship I advice that those of the same religion should marry each other in other to avoid unhealthy influence that can lead to divorce.

Religion / Benefits Of Paying Tithes by ecenter(m): 8:22pm On Sep 23, 2011
Today we are going to see the Benefits of Paying your Tithes. Let us start this topic this way.

1. What is Tithe?
Tithe is a biblical word for the giving to the church or charity organizations the one out of the Ten or your salary, profits, or property that God blessed you with. We can see it in the book of Malachi 3:8-11.

2. The second question is, Why should you pay Tithe? The reasons why you should pay your Tithe are:
    A. It is commandment  by God to the Children of Israel in the book of Levi 27:30-32; It reads:

''And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy unto the LORD.'' (KJV)

Paying of Tithe is never an option but a commandment from God to all. Your tithe belongs to God according to the scripture we just read in Leviticus 27:30. It is true that you worked for the money but bear in mind today that God is demanding that you should give His portion of the blessing which is the Tithe.
If you look at the whole story God is not even demanding too much from you He just said that you should give one of the Tenth and live on with the rest of  the money or proceeds. So if you  have not been paying your tithes start today to do so.

B.The second reason why you must pay Tithe is because it was practiced by the people of old. Let see one example from the Bible.Let us see Father Abraham. The book of Genesis 14:18-20 says:
v18: ''And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.'' (KJV)
v 20: ''And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.'' (KJV)

The scripture we just read tells us about Abraham paying Tithe to a high priest Melchizedek the priest of Salem. Abraham paid him Tithes of his substances. So Tithes is a commandment. Therefore the saints of old practiced it.So you too should be ready to practice paying of your tithes from today.
During the time that Abraham paid Tithe, the law had not been given. So those who said Tithes are for the old Testament should note that Abraham paid Tithe before the giving of the law to Moses in Leviticus.

Now having seen Why we must pay our Tithes, let us see:
3. How Tithes should be paid.

   A. When paying of Tithes ensure that you pay the complete Tithe. Don't be like those who pay their Tithes after they must have removed their expenses for the month, then the remaining money they remove one tenth and pay their Tithe. That is not Tithe. Doing so is not paying of Tithe but you have just given an offering. Offering has no conditions attached to it like Tithe. In offering you pay any amount you choose to pay. But in Tithe it is the one tenth of your profit or salary. And you must remove your Tithe first before spending the money for your needs.

4. Where To Pay Your Tithe. I hope your are following the lesson? We have seen How to Pay our Tithes Now let us see where the Tithes should be paid. The Tithe should be paid to the house of God. The local church where you worship is the right place to pay your Tithe. Look at Abra
ham , He paid his tithe to Melchizedek the priest of Salem. In other words Melchizedek is a type of Christ the High priest of our salvation. If Abraham recognized the office of Melchizedek to pay his Tithe to him you and I should recognize the pastor of our local church who is just a steward in the house of God to pay our Tithe to Him too. When I mean pay your Tithe to him I mean pay it to the church where your local Church  pastor is .
All Tithes should be paid to the church. And who eats it is not our focus of discussion.

5. The consequences of Not Paying Tithes. At this point we shall be looking at the consequences of not paying Tithes. What we mean is the punishment that comes for not paying Tithes.
A.The first consequence is that you are a Thief in the sight of God. In the book of Malachi 3:8-9
v8: ''Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.'' (KJV)

v 9: ''Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.'' (KJV)

Have you seen it in the two verses just quoted in the book of Malachi. It says that those who are not paying their Tithes are spiritual Robbers. It means that you are not different from physical thieves that our Government is looking for a way to eliminate out our country. In that case God is also not happy with you. That takes us to the second consequence:
B. You are cursed by God.

v 9: ''Ye are cursed with a curse, '' When a man is under a curse he cannot know any blessing in his life. He will  be struggling when others are succeeding. Poverty will be written all over his life. To such a person his problem is not capital or lack of job opportunity. Even if you find him the best job or give him  millions of Naira to start a business because he is under a curse he cannot prosper.
So the alternative is to start paying your tithe so that you will be ushered to the next and final point in the lesson which is:

6. The Blessings of Paying of Tithe. In conclusion to our Topic: The Benefits of Paying Of Tithes.

  A. The windows of Heaven will be opened to you.

v10: ''Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.''  (KJV)

God promised to pour His blessing to you, by opening the windows of Heaven. When your heaven remains open you will struggle less. little effort will yield bountiful harvest.  Opportunities will be staring at you even you are not there the opportunity will still be waiting for you.

My humble advice is that for you to still enjoy God's  blessing at the remaining months of this year try God and pay your Tithes; you will discover that God does not tell lies, your life and business will have a drastic turn around.

Religion / Is Jesus The Senior Pastor Of Your Church? by ecenter(m): 6:23pm On Sep 07, 2011
I still ask the question again. Now let me ask it this way, Who is the senior pastor of your church?

I want to use this opportunity to educate those of us who are Church leaders on who should be the senior pastor of our Church. And there are five questions to find out.

1. Where does authority reside?

The Bible is the Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16), and Jesus is the Word of God in the flesh (John 1:14). Jesus is Senior Pastor when the Bible is preached and valued as the ultimate authority for life and knowledge.

2. Is submission taking place?

Human leadership must reflect biblical submission which is humble, mutual, and without exceptions. Everybody must submit to somebody—not only to Jesus but also to the earthly authorities he’s appointed to govern (Rom. 13:1; Eph. 5:21; Heb. 13:17). Jesus is Senior Pastor when no one else wields absolute, infallible authority.

3. How do you organize your leadership teams?

Strive to include Jesus in the way you organize leadership teams. Jesus is Senior Pastor when church governance reflects something deeper than the latest management fad or corporate structure.

4. What is your mission?

As a church, where do you focus the bulk of your effort, money, and attention? Does this focus align with Jesus’ Great Commission for his church (Matt. 28:19)? Jesus is Senior Pastor when the church cares about evangelism and reaching new people with the gospel.

5. Is there fruit?

Fruit isn’t measured solely in numbers, but Jesus said, “I will build my church.” (Matt. 16:18) If there is no evidence of progress, if nothing’s being built, Jesus may be absent, or even “against you.” (Rev. 3:3)

Is Jesus the Senior Pastor of your church? It’s a question worth asking, discussing, and honestly answering on a regular basis.

In the book of Revelation Chapter 14 verse 3 it reads: ''And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth''. (KJV)

Religion / How To Pray A Prevailing Prayer by ecenter(m): 11:48am On Sep 05, 2011
I will be sharing with us on how to pray a prevailing prayer .  In the first place let me define what I mean by prevailing prayer.

Prevailing prayer is the prayer prayed until the answer comes. Such prayer takes all of a man.Men of prevailing prayer are aggressive to the point that they can't do without prayer. To such warriors prayer is a second nature to them.Anything you are saying over how to solve their problems that is not to pray sounds funny to them. So do you want to know how to pray a prevailing prayer? Then read the remaining article below.

There are steps to praying prevailing prayer. The steps I want to share with you are fundamental to prevailing prayers. Now lets see them in detail.

1. You must be born again. Jn 3:3. In this portion of the scripture, Jesus said to the Jewish ruler Nicodemus, Except a man is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. What is being born again? It's the recreation of the Adamic nature in man. By the sin of Adam every man born here on earth inherited a sinful nature that will not please God neither would it desire the things of God.(Rom 5:12) Those who are not born again cannot pray a prevailing prayer because it involves the totality of the man; It involves the recreated; regenerated spirit of the man. this is the spirit that desires the things of God. So such kind of person automatically can pray a prevailing prayer. A sinner's  prayer cannot be heard or answered (Isaiah 59:1-2).

2. You must be filled with the holy spirit. Acts 2:1-4. The Holy spirit is the power of God that enables a christian to pray a prevailing prayer.Without the power of the Holy spirit you cannot pray a prevailing prayer.(Jn 15:5) And apostle Paul expressed the importance of the Holy spirit when he said in the book of Romance 8:26-Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.) So the holy spirit is an important person that helps us to pray. If you have not been filled with the Holy spirit you have to invite Him into your life today and as you do your prayer life will be a rewarding and enjoyable exercise.

3.you have to have faith.Furthermore for you to pray a prevailing prayer that will move mountain, Faith in God and in yourself is essential. Prevailing prayer is a mountain moving prayer that every believer must pray always.
And for such kind of prayer to be possible you have to have faith in God and in yourself. Faith in God is trusting God for every help you  need; for encouragement and dominion over the enemy of your soul and family.Whereas, Faith in yourself is that confidence you have that you are going to make it. Because God has given to you all you need to fight the devil and overcome him. Jesus said in Luke 10:19- ''Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you''. (KJV) So don't despise yourself for you have been given power greater than any other power in the world.

4.You must pray consistently.Consistence is the key that enables you to pray till the answer comes. Today many Christians are no longer praying because of lack of consistence.  They are discouraged because their prayers in the past have not been answered, therefore they stopped praying. If you are among those who have stopped praying because your prayers have not been answered, my advise to you is that you should keep on praying till the answer comes. So long as your prayer request is the will of God it must surely be answered; because delay is never a denial. So don't give up because the request to your prayers are there at the corner waiting for you. That was why Apostle Paul advised Christians to pray without Ceasing 1Thes.5:17. So pray without ceasing.

In conclusion I encourage you today to begin to pray a prevailing prayer that will bring great answer that will amaze you a bring great deliverance to many.

Religion / Re: Hellfire Does Not Exist! by ecenter(m): 7:50am On Sep 04, 2011
Hell is real. It is a real place that God has reserved for Satan and his agents according to the book of Matt.25:41 ''Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels'': (KJV) See other scriptures:Ps 6:8; Mt 7:23,28; 13:40,42; Lu 13:27; 2Pe 2:4; Jude 1:6. Read them carefully.

Still in doubt? Now let us see what the Bible says about hell.In Luke 16, Jesus Christ gives a frightening picture of hell:

    22 . . . the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in Hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. (Luke 16:22-28)

HELL IS A PLACE OF FIRE

The man in Luke 16:24 cries: ". . .I am tormented in this  FLAME."

In Matthew 13:42, Jesus says: "And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

In Matthew 25:41, Jesus says: "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting FIRE,. . ."

Revelation 20:15 says, " And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the LAKE OF FIRE."

THE BIBLE GIVES THE LOCATION OF HELL

When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He descended into hell. In Acts 2, Peter is speaking, verse 31, " . . . seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in HELL"

When Jesus Christ died His soul went into hell. And in Matthew 12:40, Jesus Christ says:

"For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly: so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the HEART OF THE EARTH. "

The Bible is clear — Hell is inside the earth!

Ephesians 4:9, says of Jesus: "Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the LOWER PARTS OF THE EARTH."

On page 85 of Beyond Death’s Door, Dr. Rawlings writes patients who described hell said, ". . . this place seems to be UNDERGROUND or WITHIN THE EARTH in some way."

Scientist and Bible teacher, Henry Morris also agrees the Bible plainly teaches that hell is in this earth:

"So far as we can tell from Scripture, the present hell, is somewhere in the heart of the earth itself. It is also called 'the pit' (Isa. 14:9, 15: Ezek. 32:18-21) and 'the abyss' (Rev. 9:2). . .

The writers certainly themselves believed hell to be real and geographically 'beneath' the earth's surface. . . To say this is not scientific is to assume science knows much more about the earth's interior than is actually the case. The great 'pit' [hell] would only need to be about 100 miles or less in diameter to contain, with much room to spare, all the forty billion or so people who have ever lived, assuming their 'spiritual' bodies are the same size as their physical bodies."  (Henry M. Morris, The Bible Has the Answer, p. 220)

EThe Birmingham News, April 10, 1987 had an article entitled "Earth's Center Hotter Than Sun's Surface, Scientists Say". The article stated that scientists have recently discovered, "TH EARTH'S INNER CORE HAS A TEMPERATURE OF OVER 12,000 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT!"

Have you seen pictures of a volcano erupting, spewing a lake of fire from inside the earth — consuming everything within miles just from the heat? When Mount St. Helens erupted in May 18, 1980, it was described by reporters, "when HELL surfaced upon the earth." The book, Volcanoes, Earth's Awakening (p.91) describes an erupting volcano as "descent into HELL".

Thousands of years ago, the Bible described a place called hell in the heart of the earth that matches exactly what science is discovering.
With these few information I strongly believe what the Bible said about the existence of Hell fire. Don't wait until you are cast in Hell to believe it exists.
Religion / What Does It Mean That Jesus Saves? by ecenter(m): 8:21am On Aug 27, 2011
Answer: “Jesus saves” is a popular slogan on bumper stickers, signs at athletic events, and even banners being pulled across the sky by small airplanes. Sadly, few who see the phrase “Jesus saves” truly and fully understand what it means. There is a tremendous amount of power and truth packed into those two words.

Jesus saves, but who is Jesus?
Most people understand that Jesus was a man who lived in Israel approximately 2000 years ago. Virtually every religion in the world views Jesus as a good teacher and/or a prophet. And while those things are most definitely true of Jesus, they do not capture who Jesus truly is, nor do they explain how or why Jesus saves. Jesus is God in human form (John 1:1, 14). Jesus is God, come to Earth, as a true human being (1 John 4:2). God became a human being in the person of Jesus in order to save us. That brings up the next question: why do we need to be saved?

Jesus saves, but why do we need to be saved?
The Bible declares that every human being who has ever lived has sinned (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23). To sin is to do something, whether in thought, word, or deed, that contradicts God’s perfect and holy character. Because of our sin, we all deserve judgment from God (John 3:18, 36). God is perfectly just, so He cannot allow sin and evil to go unpunished. Since God is infinite and eternal, and since all sin is ultimately against God (Psalm 51:4), only an infinite and eternal punishment is sufficient. Eternal death is the only just punishment for sin. That is why we need to be saved.

Jesus saves, but how does He save?
Because we have sinned against an infinite God, either a finite person (us) must pay for our sins for an infinite amount of time, or an infinite Person (Jesus) must pay for our sins one time. There is no other option. Jesus saves us by dying in our place. In the person of Jesus Christ, God sacrificed Himself on our behalf, paying the infinite and eternal penalty only He could pay (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 John 2:2). Jesus took the punishment that we deserve in order to save us from a horrible eternal destiny, the just consequence of our sin. Because of His great love for us, Jesus laid down His life (John 15:13), paying the penalty that we had earned, but could not pay. Jesus was then resurrected, demonstrating that His death was indeed sufficient to pay the penalty for our sins (1 Corinthians 15).

Jesus saves, but who does He save?
Jesus saves all who will receive His gift of salvation. Jesus saves all those who fully trust in His sacrifice alone as the payment for sin (John 3:16; Acts 16:31). While Jesus’ sacrifice was perfectly sufficient to pay for the sins of all humanity, Jesus only saves those who personally receive His most precious of gifts (John 1:12).

If you now understand what it means that Jesus saves, and you want to trust in Him as your personal Savior, make sure you understand and believe the following, and as an act of faith, communicate the following to God. “God, I know that I am a sinner, and I know that because of my sin I deserve to be eternally separated from you. Even though I do not deserve it, thank you for loving me and providing the sacrifice for my sins through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and I trust in Him alone to save me. From this point forward, help me to live my life for you instead of for sin. Help me to live the rest of my life in gratitude for the wonderful salvation you have provided. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me!”
