the hang of it is dat download speed is written by network provers(eg mtn,zain) as Kb/s -note the 'b'(MEANING bit) is in small letter. but when u start downloading it's in KB/s i.e capital letter B standing for byte. since 8 bits make 1 byte, divide ur provider by 8 and deduct 10% off. so 256kbs becomes 256 divided by 8 = 32KBs and 10% off u get like 29KB/s! |
