Hello Mamas/Papas My wife had our LO in June and we are back in Nigeria. I have been chasing (calling) Pediatrix for over 2 months to get our bill and it finally came out last week with a bill higher than what we expected ($2,500). I remember in the past one could ask for a significant discount if one would pay immediately or within a stipulated time (I was able to get a discount in 2018). My question today is can one negotiate a discount with pediatrix? If this is possible, how do I go about? I asked the agent over the phone and she was like it was impossible to get a discount......I even mentioned to her that I got a discount in 2018 and she was like "that's not possible" Abeg, my people, kindly help with suggestions........make I pay this gbese comot. Thank you! |
Hello Everyone, DW had our LO in Houston last year and we inputed on our Baby's birth certificate the intownsuites address we stayed in as residence instead of our Nigerian address I want to ask if someone in a similar situation (birth in Houston) has succeed in making the change of address on LO Birth certificate. Thanks! |

Greatg0809:Thanks a lot @Greatg0809 I no get option but to go through the long process if I am planning to renew my visa in future ![]() I called Bureau of Vital Statistics and had to end the call after being on hold for over 40mins. I downloaded the VS-170 form. Is that the form you are talking about? Regarding the Money Order, can I do that through any Nigerian Bank? |
Hello Everyone, For Houston Mamas/Papas, how do I go about changing the residential address on LO's birth certificate. We used the intownsuites address we were staying at the time. Thanks! |

Hi guys, For those of us that used HNWMC and got billed by Pediatrix for the pediatrician services, please be sure that the payment you made & discount given reflects on your account……………especially if you have been given a discount. In our own case, we got our bill early July - $1456; we called a number of times to request for a healthy baby package and after many calls they eventually gave a 50% discount - $728 and we were given until 3rd Aug to pay. At this point, our question to them was would they be able to send us a new bill that will reflect the 50% discount (The reason behind our question was for us to have a documented proof that we were given this discount when we present our docs at the Embassy or at POE in the future)? Every agent we spoke to advised that another bill cannot be sent out and that the discount and our payment will reflect on our account (mymedicalme account). After so much persistence, we were told that the request will be sent to central billing and so our account was on hold. The account was on hold for over 2 weeks and after several calls to them, we were advised that they cannot send out a revised bill. We eventually paid the $728. After 2 business days I checked our mymedicalme account and it was still showing : Payoff Amount: $728 Amount Due: $728 Due Date Oct 2018. So I had to call them again. I had to explain myself all over again to the agent I spoke with…..she advised that it will be referred to central billing and put the account on hold. It took them another week to rectify this, and finally our account is now showing Amount Due: $0. So if you used HNWMC/Pediatrix, please confirm your account has a Zero Balance to avoid stories that touch in the future. |
Airsalay:Applied for Visa On Arrival and made payment at the immigration at MMA. Note that they do not accept any card issed by a Nigerian bank (even if it is a dollar card). Luckily for me someone who had a US dollar card paid for me and I gave the person cash. |
bimbyabim:Yes You can PM me. |
Abiodunnn:Thanks a bunch! |
