Chelseafan1:Well, time to get busy with the stench of fuel vapor - ![]() |
weyreypey:Does anything break in that car? That car is as tough as they come. I'm certain it will work with slight variations. |
@ Chelseafan1 and Buynowautos - almost always the fuses and the relays are good but the fuel level sender sensor is bad. Just order the OEM sensor or buy a toks (they are dirt cheap), avoid the Chinese clones, I leant this the hard way, after squandering beer money on those 2 fake tibao sensors in that image |
Buynowautos: Eddee:First and foremost, did you buy enough fuel to warrant the fuel guage sender sensor to report anything to the instrument cluster? Secondly, scan to see if this code will pop up p203A.? If it does pop up, there are two scenarios and if you can handle a spanner (pun intended), you'll be done in 30-45 mins. Let's start with the easy one. Scenario A, fuel pump relay or fuse is blown... Follow this link to locate the faulty relay and fuse, https://www.google.com/amp/s/fusesdiagram.com/mercedes/fuses-and-relay-mercedes-w203.html/amp Scenario B, the fuel level sender sensor for the fuel pump and possibly fuel filter have retired from active service. Locate it under the passenger seat, pull it out and clean the level sensor - it consists of 4 high-grade stainless steel pins. Now, if all these does not work, don't @me- you know were the likes of Kingreign, Gazzuzz and AutoelectNg, Oluwaseunla and Aunty Radu are.

Buynowautos:I've faced this dilemma before and I'm certain, i can be of help. Lemme take some pictures, I'm coming |
HeavenlyBang:Baba, that na why I like you, after we don settle down. Whenever, I wan slay I go stroll come your end borrow that Camaro take feel alive. |
GAZZUZZ:Sorry Sir. No more derailing ![]() |
weyreypey:I understand you perfectly. |
weyreypey:I ordered a small hand-held scanner for $97 on Aliexpress last week, and I can change a flat (I know that's not what you mean) ![]() |
kingreign:Senior man, this wan pass me... Lecturer has taught with videos, well explained diagrams and links to external materials and very importantly, hands on practicals, but my head no gree comprehend. So make i dey fence first |

Chelseafan1:My brother, your head dey der! Although I'll go with the Civic, the dual guage instrument cluster is certain to evoke a nostalgic feeling a decade or two from now. |
Me, I've said it before and will say it again... Once I get a family, the only cars in my garage will be A Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic and a Truck, if Mercedes have sorted out their issues with the X Class, I'll probably own one (assuming the boy is good dey)... I can't afford to be maintaining marquee liabilities coupled with a high maintenance wife and kids. ![]() |
Chelseafan1:I'll do you one better. A video perhaps |
weyreypey:They are just cars bro, chill. |
Chelseafan1:I can't speak of what I haven't driven or owned, only C Class I've driven was my own CLK 230k and Nwanneni's C class, interior detailing is top notch and dashboard will break apart eventually., speakers are just nice, not basic but okay. Now, Oga Oluwaseunla is currently doing a PPI for an Is250, for my big bro- once that comes in this week, I'll definitely borrow and review the interior and speakers. As for the seats (there's nothing to write home about), it's a crowded mall in there. |
Chelseafan1:Bilstein are the best in the business. Guys on Mbworld and MB medic swear by them. Shipping (DHL/FedEx), and Customs charges will make up the price difference. While you are it, check out the price for the 4matic models (will be three to four times that, i can assure you) ![]() |
shortgun:That settles it ![]() |
shortgun:Dem go gree sell one for am? ![]() |
Chelseafan1:Nothing slightly above 1k, more like #800-900 fuel - there's been artificial fuel scarcity in Calabar over the last two days or so. Drained about 10 litres from my generator and I've been using it to catch trips in a major way. |
Buynowautos: 4matic parts are expensive, and when they start falling apart, ESP malfunction error will torment your dashboard until they are fixed. Cc: chelseafan1 these prices should guide you. |
Chelseafan1:The shocks are very firm and comfy. I changed the sway bar because the old one's brackets were weak and nobody was willing to sell a complete set of brackets and bushings alone for anything less than 60k. It's a 4matic, parts are unnecessarily expensive, yours shouldn't be that expensive, used OEM 4matic coils on Ebay or even Amazon will set you back well financially. |
Chelseafan1:Nothing classified bro. Toks Shocks 85k for the front pair, 15k for the back, sway bar and stabiliser linkages took most of the money sef 90k. All with 3 months guarantee from Ojuelegba |
alphaNomega: Benz and over sabi |
