coladey:
you can take IIBA certifications and become Business analyst
Thanks.
The IIBA certification seems to require someone to have IT background to succeed in the business analyst career.
What If I do not have IT background and experience?
Jobs/VacanciesBetween Professional Certification & Specialized Training by Eddodoh(op): 9:35am On Aug 05, 2016
I have being thinking about how to boost my career and I feel it's better to get advice from experienced folks.
With over 10 years experience in Customer Service. I will like to acquire specialized skill or certification that can enhance employability or use as consultant.
I come across some professional certifications like Certified Customer Service Professional, CIPM and PMP but my guess is that these professionals certification only portrayed one as a professional based on ur experience.
While there are specialized training in specific industry/field that make one independent or can still use to gain employment like Web Development, Training in Aviation, and other IT trainings.
I don't want to waste my resources on certificates that add nothing to me so I need your suggestion, contribution and advice on whether to go for a professional certification or specialized training.

I dont understand this point.
Use ur highest academic qualification. No need including everything from ur Kindergarten, Nursery, Primary, Secondary and BSC/HND.

If BSC/HND is ur highest academic qualification, no need including Secondary Sch & Primary Sch.

It's a waste of space for valuable information. Unless, otherwise requested.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Experience Vs. Certification: Which Will Really Help You Get A Better Job by Eddodoh(m): 11:58am On Aug 03, 2016
I am tired and confused on what else to do. Some school of thought said: experience matter, I got more than 10yrs experience in Customer Service (gained while still studying couple with post NYSC experience). No positive effect on my CV.
In fact, I am even fade up in the Customer Service field. I have tweaked my CV to enable me switch to other field, no way.

Most times, I look at the ceiling and said: what else can I do? Remove my pre-NYSC experience and start all over or learn a specialized skill and forget my already horned experience?

Such a pathetic situation!!!

If I include only related work experience. What happens to the gap created on my employment history, or assuming I held the position earlier in my career but currently in a different field or role, how do I sell myself?

Guy stop this nonsense jor, it's all in your mind set!
I graduated with third class and have no masters but I started in sales/ marketing in an insurance company and grew in business development! I have worked for most marquee brands here in Nigeria and currently head Business development for one of the top Digital firms in Nigeria.
I would have shared my LinkedIn in profile here with you but this is a public forum .
2.1 is good but 3rd class doesn't mean it's the end of the world !
Start small pick a niche like sales, logistics , procurement or even marketing.
Start at the bottom learn and grow your skills it will get to a point when you are really good companies will pay to have you.
I have been managing teams for the last 7 years more often than not my subordinates have msc, certifications and better academic qualifications than I had but what they don't have is over 8 years experience in business development in both multinationals and local brands which is what I have .
I may do a master's in future but for now I see no need for it.
As what I have to offer is key experience.
Target gathering experience and the sky won't be your limit
You made a great point. I found ur advice very inspirational and I have copied it into my file to draw inspiration when I need to.

Amen!!! Thanks
CrimePlease, Help Track Dis People by Eddodoh(op):
My father got missing a week after his dad burial, all effort to find him proof abortive.

This is the 5th month now. We've reported at Police Stations within my State (Okpoga, Okpokwu LG, Benue State)
but there's no any information regarding his whereabout.

We suspect foul play involving Kinsmen which cannot be confirmed.

Recently, some people called my Uncle requesting that we pay 100k to free him. My Uncle asked them to put him on call to confirm he is my dad. He asked some personal questions owing to the fact that he is a Step brother to my dad, born in a different village but very close to my dad.

They warned never to involve the police which my family agreed. Though I did not buy the idea of not involving the security agents but they insist so as not to harm my dad. They sent a UBA A/C No. which the money was paid into after my Uncle allegedly confirmed that he's my dad but still have not release my dad.

I am confident that these people aren't Kidnappers but people within and seems to involve spiritual conspiracy as some fetish items were found at the entrance to my dad's room 3 months after. This happened 6 days later when we were told he would be back after some fetish items where uprooted from my compound .

Kindly advice on how to track this people or unravel this mystery.
