Professional certification, top up degree or learning relevant skills?

With HND in Cooperative Economics & Management from one of d Cooperative College. Securing a new job & having a fulfilling career has not been easy.

I took my present job not because I love it but to keep body & soul together. My interest lies in HR or Admin though I have built experience in Customer Service over the years.

Most times I feel my first degree post limitation to a successful career growth.

HR field seem be to dominated by candidates with BA/BSC & MSC. I think my chance of succeeding is slim.

How do I stand out? What is d best option?

I don't think that you are right because Ecobank has overhauled it's Customer service desk with the creation of an Ombudsman unit (01-2260450). You can report all issues relating to customer service dissatisfaction and the bank will rectify almost immediately. It is a good sign that the Bank is neither passive or arrogant.

Ombudsman is synonymous with NLC and Nigerian Courts who only act when they have financial gain.

People rights are being tampered even when U report to dis bodies.

Report to Ombudsman & other agencies like NLC (with regards to Labour matters). The company will bribe them & the rest is story.

ECOBANK has a trend of poor customer service right from when it was OCEANIC BANK. STANBIC seem to be a recent development.

GTB maintain moderate customer service where U see senior executives upstairs gesticulate to Tellers to be fast & May come down to assist in reducing queue.

For someone wit HND in Cooperative Economics & Management couple wit over 3years experience in Customer Service. Which career path will u advice him/her to take?

If I have my way I won't work in Customer Service field as it is hectic leaving U depressed.

My very first job was in a Customer Service field as a Receptionist & my present job as a Call Center Agent.

The change we nid come from within ourself. U can't change someone If he/she is not willing. Most pple see d red flags during courtship but ignore them wit d believe dat their spouse will change when they finally tie d knot. Courship & marriage are two different institution, d baggage from one institution should not b transfer to d other. Treat every issue in each stage of ur relationship as a separate entity.

People stay in dead relationships even when d red flag is glaring.

Hi, was once in a state of mind similar as yours before.
1st and foremost, most if not all employers will prefer you to start counting your experience from "after school" which is called Post Graduate Employment History.
Yes, its when they specifically tell you to input/add your volunteer/extracurricular experience, then you can add post you have held in school whether by aluta(dept/su) or siwes/it.
All work experience b4 undergraduate dnt really matter.
Brief history abt my pathway, i worked for more than 2yrs as a primary school teacher after my WAEC then i gained admission into a tertiary institution while holding post as my dEpt PRO. Proceeding to nysc too, i was my ppa clo which i did quite all right.
All am tryin to emphasize is what realy counts in my year of work experience is the job as a secondary school teacher in my ppa, while includin post i held in school(pro) and ppa(clo) as extracurricular activities excludin the years i spent as a pry skul teacher.
In summary, your after varsity experience serves as the primary work experience(post graduate) while post held can serve as extracuricular activities. Put in mind that if you did your siwes/it in a reputable firm it can literaly serve as additional work experience.
Am also an intending hr specialist. MBA on ma mind.

This things happen especially where the woman is d boss. I have experience it and this beautiful woman dresses wit her chest and thigh exposed. Whenever she called me to report to her office I would look at her from afar and throw my face somewhere else when I reach her desk.

I did not work wit her for long I would have succumb to her seduction because it was so strong and she was all over me especially when her hubby is out of town.

She had to trace my abode to plead dat i return to my post but I had made up my mind.
