Tomorrow will surely mark the end of all the rumours that have been going on concerning the products that Apple will be unveiling. So what and what are we expecting tomorrow, will there be new gadgets, software, upgrade on existing products, or what really will the event hold for Apple fans. For me, I expect to see the so much talked about the latest I-phone 5S and I-phone 5C. Not forgetting, I am also expecting to see the unveiling of a smart watch just as Samsung did last week. What are your own expectations too?

PhonesMicrosoft On The Verge Of Buying Out Nokia by eddyland(op): 4:38pm On Sep 03, 2013
It was a resounding revelation last night by Microsoft on its latest move on the acquisition of the once-before-greatest-phone-manufacturers ‘Nokia’ at the estimated cost of $7.2billion. This was in a bid to redeem back the lost image of this phone company which many have described as a sinking ship. In 1998, it was a reality that Nokia rose to become the largest mobile phone maker in the world, but due market instability and the emergence of other powerful phone makers, competition became so high and they could no longer hold on but rather ceded the giant time to their greatest rival Samsung.

Science/TechnologyHave You Heard Of The Tomahawk Cruise Missile Before? by eddyland(op): 1:10pm On Sep 02, 2013
Tomahawk cruise missile is a long range and the most sophisticated cruise missile of all in terms of range. It is said to be capable of reaching a range of 1,000 miles. This missile is mostly fired from ship or submarine. Should USA eventually strike Syria in the on-going Syrian crises, Tomahawk cruise missile will most likely be used. That is to say that US military will be in the middle of the Mediterranean sea and be launching this missiles. The missile is said to be able to redirect its target even after launch, and with this stupendous range, it still has accurate precision. I am beginning to wonder how the Syrian government will cope with such attack with such missile if USA eventually strike.

ProgrammingThe Rise And Fall Of 2go Social Media Mobile chat Network by eddyland(op): 4:57pm On Aug 29, 2013
two three years ago, the craze for 2go chat can be felt almost everywhere mostly by the youths who will then do almost every thing to have the 2go chat apps installed on their phone. But today what is really happening to this chat network, I don't know. Any time I logged into my 2go account, I hardly see any friend online out of my 181 friends in my list. Is it that BB messengers and whatsapp have now overshadowed the use of 2go or is that people now see 2go as being childish?

HealthDo People Still Use Salt And Charcoal To Brush Their Teeth? by eddyland(op): 6:50am On Aug 29, 2013
Something got me thinking, last time a friend of mine toothpaste got finished, and he forgot to buy one, and so the next day, he has to wake up early morning to go out, and when he realise that there was no paste in the house, he went to the kitchen and follow up salt. I remember those days when people not eve only use salt but they will grind charcoal and use it to brush teeth in the morning. I want to ask, is there really any health benefit to that or is it the lack of cash then to enter a shop and pick a toothpaste that cause people to indulge in that? Then they say it even makes the teeth whiter and heatlthier.

BusinessAmazon Online Affiliate(associate) Programme and how to apply by eddyland(op): 7:28pm On Aug 25, 2013
No doubt that today, Amazon has the largest online affiliate network. When it comes to authenticity and originality of goods sold at online stores, Amazon takes the number one position. No wonder their affiliate members span across the whole word, marketing their large varieties of products and making money for themselves buy just earning affiliate commissions. When it comes to revenue sharing , Amazon is known to pay their Associates members very well. If you have a blog or a website, and you are not participating in the Amazon affiliate programme, I think you are missing something here, especially blogs and sites with high traffic. The good thing about this Amazon network is that it is free of charge to part take in. Remember that Amazon started out as an online book stores, before it diversified into whole lot of different products, that people always flood to buy. Products are cheap and quality of products is there watch word. If you ask of any affiliate network that one can vouch for of being genuine, then don't miss out on the Amazon associate programme. Registration and participation is easy. You can give them a trial.

PhonesThe Country That Manufactures The Infinix Android Powered Phones by eddyland(op): 1:35pm On Aug 23, 2013
One question that almost look very difficult to answer, even when you decide to turn to Google is to mention the exact country that manufactures the newly Android powered phones that was recently introduced into the Nigerian market. The Infinix phone is just like the Tecno phones, very cheap and yet of high quality. For those that cannot afford the likes of Samsung Galaxies and the HTC and want to enjoy the Android platform, you can check out the Infinix phone, just like it brother the Tecno, I must confessed that they manufacturers really tried, and when you are holding the phone, nobody dares tell you that you are holding a small phone or a low quality phone, because the phone just makes brain on it own sense. And what I believe now is that with time the phone will spread and also become a household name like Tecno and the rest. They really finished work in their latest model the Infinix race max Q. If you doubt me, go get yours, it is just 33k

Assalaffiy: I understand the passion with which we agitated for this test, but lest we forget, the OSS MSc is to train indigenous manpower needed in the oil and gas industry at present FOR THE MAIN TIME and subsequently trained them at home which cost less,The trained hands are back wandering the streets and idle cause the industry is not absorbing them, perhaps they are supersaturated with this OSS MSc scholar!!!.The present OSS MSc scholar are lamenting on delayed payment of allowance and the fate which awaits them, these couple with the financial challenges the establishment is facing as is common with all federal parast. in the richest oil producing country in africa-a word is enough for the wise
Whether the trained one's are back home wondering like wonderland or not, there is nothing on earth that should warrant this break in transmission(in communication gap) between PTDF and this year prospective scholars. What is there to pass common information and notify the prospective scholars that the test will still be held or not. I have said it before that Nigeria is the only country that anything can happen and nobody will be punished for their inactions. If to say na Yankee weh this kind thing happen like this, all the 2013 prospective scholars for don hammer, because this is a great misconduct from those that call themselves government abi government parastal. It is a shame that if ordinary to tell people whether exam will hold or not is a problem in this country, I begin to wonder how the government will be capable of tackling herculean tasks like let say generating 10,000MW of electricity and other task. Just smh for Naija
CultureAfter Defecating, Do You Use Water Or Tissue To Clean Your Anus? by eddyland(op): 7:07pm On Aug 21, 2013
I have never used water before to clean my anus immediately after defecating, I have always used tissue right from childhood till now and I am comfortable with that. In my family house then, one thing I know that never lacks in the house is tissue packs. But some people I know are comfortable using water to wipe their anus after defecating, and I normally ask how comfortable it is using water, considering that after that, your buttocks will be wet and you have to put on back your panties or boxers after that, also what about when doing it in the bush, do water users always take water along with them to the bush. Though some say using water is more hygeinic, but I still have my doubts, what are your take or which do you use and prefers?

I love playing video games especially PlayStation, I don't know about you. But the only problem I have is with the PS3, the price of the CD plate is too exorbitant, I have not finish playing it and now Sony is telling us that they will be launching PS4 by November this year. Maybe the price of that one CD plate will be like 15k or so, who knows.

CultureWhy Do Nigerians Like Insulting Themselves In Forums And Online Communities by eddyland(op):
I noticed that unlike other countries of the world, that when it comes to forum activities and commenting in online communities other countries will rather treat others with respect and comment in very polite manner, but when it comes down here in Nigerian forums especially here in NL and other online communities, you will always see brime stones and thunders of insults being showered upon somebody even at the mention of A. I now begin to wonder if it is part of our culture or is that many are not cultured right from their home, because to me it makes no sense and most times these insults are uncalled for.

EducationZip Codes And Dialling Codes Misplacement by eddyland(op): 6:32pm On Aug 19, 2013
Lets be truthful to ourselves, how many of us have always input the right zip codes of their location when filling out forms (whether online or paper form)? because I know many people usually fill +234 whenever they see a space for zip or postal code. But is +234 really our zip codes or dialling code? The Nigerian zip/postal code is always made up of six(6) digits number, and it differs from states and the area we are staying, but many always think it is 234

Not trying to sound pessimistic but just trying to be factual. I think if PTDF fails to call for the test come next week 24th of this month, then it will be high time to kiss the 2013/2014 OSS goodbye, because I cant foresee any magic again PTDF will perform to meet up the deadline and resumption date of UK schools, but we hope that at this eleventh hour, surprise will spring up and the test will be written next week, because after next week, no way again. This is the final week of keeping fingers crossed. It is a fact
ComputersNokia Manufacturing Its First Ever Tablet And Will Be Lunched Next Month by eddyland(op): 12:30pm On Aug 17, 2013
At the mention of Nokia, what usually come to my mind is Nokia 3310 and Symbian phones. No doubt that almost every household one way or the other grooved the Nokia phones in the past and even till now. We all remember when Nokia was indeed Nokia, when Nokia ruled the world and really connected people together all over the world (Nokia slogan), but today it seems they are being pushed to the wall by other competitors like Samsung, Apple and the rest. But what really is that that made other manufacturers seeming to be moving ahead of Nokia? To me I will say it is simply diversification of their range of products and also producing what the market and consumers are asking for. Little wonder they say that 'variety is the spice of life'

Nokia is this time trying to rejuvenate to gain back ground and their grip in this ever changing technological world. There is a saying that goes like this ''If you cant beat them, you join them'' and I think that is exactly what Nokia is trying to do now, by also expanding in their array of products especially those products that are currently in vogue, and I believe that is what is also prompting them to be gearing towards their lunch of first ever Tablet come September next month. Who knows the kind of Tablet that Nokia will come up with that next month, who knows if Nokia will once again rule the world with their new brands of gadgets. Lets stay tuned and watch out what this Finnish Phone manufacturing giant have in stock for us, because I think the are about to connect us again in different way.

I am writing this with passion for Nokia, because I am a typical and a true Nokia fan,I love Nokia phones, Nokia phones are indeed great. I just hope that this thier tablet will throw them back into lime light

Apple has maintained their trend of releasing a new model of i-phone every year since their first phone in 2007, and their latest phone will be released next month. The question here is that will they call it i-phone 6 or i-phone 5s, and it seems people don't use the Apple phone down here much, maybe because of the price.

FamilyShould A Very Poor Guy Go And Marry? by eddyland(op): 10:58am On Aug 11, 2013
I jst saw some piteous conditions some guys that got married and with kids are undergoin because of lack of money and it realy got me wondering. This morning I went to visit a friend, and the guy that was managing in the security house close to the gate of my friends compound has been evacuated because the landlord that offered him the place wants to make use of the place. Ok now I saw him,his wife and their two little kids just perching at the compound, obviously no place to go to. And I have known the guy for a while, and ever since i know him things have not being that easy for him. See him, see his wife and two little kids, just perching outside just like that, exposing the little kids to harsh environmental condition, i now begin to wonder, is it even by force to get married and bring in kids into the world that we cannot even take care of and just allow them to suffer for what they dont even know. Because it is even now very obvious that this guy was not even able to take care of himself very well but he went and pick a wife which i cant tell if they were legally married or not and with two very little kids of theirs. So is it really worth it to pick a wife even in our sorry condition?
