What school did you apply to that waive IELTS Score for you madam. skimpy: I sent an email to the school quoting why I felt I shouldn’t be made to write an English proficiency test. I also attached the front page of my transcript from my last school that stated the language of study was English. It might not work for all school tho. Someone tried this recently with a school in Tallinn and they told her it was the end of her application or she could still get back to them with her English test and continue the application. |

Bro, i just sent you a message now, please check..I would need your help in getting started with my lil brother visa application vibrant99: If telling people to be more sensible is a crime , and it derails or kills the thread, i wonder what will.
You think getting a visa now in Nigeria has to do with motivation? Ok, lets agree it is, then 1 out of 100 will get a visa because it has to be spiritual.
People are wasting their monies applying for visa, People who cannot get visa , people who wouldn't even get a Dubai Visa.
Is it a crime if we add some quality control, advise people and even tell people not to apply for VISA at all? abi is this marketing firm for Canadian Government ?
Do you know the number of applications CANADA gets today? it was 10 times what it Got in January 2019, to what end? because USA visa is now a no go area, what happens next.... The same USA treatment will eventually creep in.
We Nigerians know how to kill opportunities, while you sit with your key pad and type prayers instead of realities on ground, less than 2% get study permit since Sept 2019 till date... and this is a good score?
Take this thread for example, how many successful visa was announced on this Thread number? how many application was announced?
we need to solve our problems everywhere we can in this country, even on Nairaland, it is not funny.
Bsc... Masters .. in Canada ... we all get the jerk! and the VOs too get it, so therefore you need to convince them thoroughly that education is what will take you to Canada and that the reason you want to spend that money,.... Any PHD that was rejected on this thread should raise a hand!!!
As much as we keep pushing people not to give up, lets also look deep into their chances and make them save some money, i believe in determination, but you cannot be determined by fallacy.
How successful is the Study permit this days? Let someone do a research. |

I am shock to see 40 and years old giving visa My bro just got admission inot brandon and we are in the process of applying for visa, please can you help with some of the core document to get before applying, sponsor is Our Uncle and he has a company with CAC and also account statement balance is about 12 millions, The course is Biology and undergraduate Naijaforeigner: God bless you for the bolded.
When I applied in 2018, the advise I got on this forum were from people who have never been to Canada. Also, that you are in Canada or have been granted study visa does not make you a guru in Canada visa. As far as I am concerned, no one is a guru when it comes to USA and Canada visa's.
I am even tempted to say that people who were delayed, took time to study notes, followed and observed patterns and have been on this forum for so long know more than me who is in Canada when it comes to study permits. I applied only once and got my visa. I may never know as much as the individual who applied thrice and learnt from it.
Who can apply for study permit in Canada?
No one has the right to discourage anyone from applying to study in Canada. The best we can do is guide applicants on how to convince the Visa officer, make them avoid common errors and the rest is on God.
CIC has not been consistent in how they grant visas to applicants, most especially Nigerians. Also, there are too many gaps in the list of documents on CIC website for study permit applications that is subject to different interpretations. I also think Canada allows their visa officers to apply discretion at will when it comes to study permit applications from Africa.
I know at least 3 Nigerians in Fanshawe that are in their late forties, been away from school for so long (over 10 years) and still got visa's. The recent one I saw was a woman almost 50 and she was given 1 year visa for a PGC course in Fanshawe college. How on earth do you explain that?
If you have the money, the right documents and want to study in Canada, apply. |

I am in the same stage you are now, though not married yet but had ND(national diploma) and also some work experience and wrote my SSCE in 2008. i I will say, you have some advantage here because of work experience and a home tie which're both your business and family(wife and kid) There is a great chance you might get approval. Thebody: Hello house, I have been a silent reader and I have been following the thread diligently. Please I just applied and got admission, to study diploma in business admin in Toronto. I am a 30 year old man, married with a kid. My highest qualification is SSCE which I wrote in 2008. I couldn't further because I lost my single parent mother in 2009 when I got admission to the university, I had to dropout and grow up fast to take care of my two siblings. Now the both of them are graduates and doing well. I want to return back to school but not in Nigeria. I have applied to several schools abroad for Bsc, but couldn't get admission because of my age and space between when I finished high school. I was very grateful I got this opportunity. Now I am at a crossroad on how to start my visa application. I will be my own sponsor, I have a SOA of about 6.2m, I own a my business which was registered this year. I have no travel history, please gurus what are my chances and how do I proceed from here. God bless |

bros, is the school brandon unviversity? vickyehi: 1....Yes it is a good university. 2....the cost is currently about 18k but would rise yearly for the next 4 years till it's about 22-24k. You can check ther website for specifics. 3.....standard of living is VERY affordable if you are ready to work. Jobs are pretty easy to get (in my opinion).
Brandon is a nice calm town to live and gather your footing. As long as you dont join bad gang and you focus on your grind, you would be okay.
All the best. |

congrat bro, which school is this? safe travel UrsyBC: U P D A T E !
My application was approved and passport requested on the 7th of November. I mailed it to them and an acknowledgement was received on the 14th. Since then, my passport has been under process at IRCC and program start date is just 3 weeks away.
I mailed the Nairobi office to express my concerns and sent a CSO to Lagos office but there was no response. A week later, I sent another mail and they responded on Tuesday, 10th Dec.
Can someone guess the response?
I was asked to provide through email, the statement of the account that i submitted, from Sept 2018 to Sept 2019. In order words, after approval and passport request, IRCC Lagos office requested for a one-year statement of the account that I submitted in my application. They asked me to submit before 12th, Dec.and instructed that the statement shows my name, number, available balance, debits and credits.
I went to the bank same day, printed and forwarded to them as instructed. An auto acknowledgement was received and yesterday, a final decision was dispatched in my favour.
It has ended in praises!
Special thanks to @frankrobbn1 for calming my nerves during this long wait.
To a brother found on this thread @bimmy35, you've been a source of encouragement. See you in two weeks!
To all hopefuls herein, do your best and hang in there. TRV must follow you.
It's not yet over until it's over. Don't just read this post. Digest it and reason the VOs intentions for the delay. Self sponsorship with multiple evidence of a meagre salary and unmatching closing balance was almost a red flag. I had explained the steady source of other funds which they likely doubted. With God, I was a step ahead and my one year statement vindicated me. No lump sum over the past one year and available balance increased substantially from what it was when I submitted my application. |

This is so cool and if one is able to get 7.0 on IELT and also have the certificate on web development and Adobe Photoshop certificate, will the person get employment Frankrobbn1: The Altantic Immigration Pilot Program - AIPP and the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program - (RNIP) are the viable options for you to secure a permanent residence of Canada with an SSCE certification, a low proof of settlement funds and low IELTS score (4.0band). Having said that, these immigration pathways are employer's driven and will compulsorily require you to secure a job offer prior to be eligible to file for a permanent residency of Canada.
It will end in praises |

Yea, but the admin officer said no full ride but there is 3k maximum scholarship, we are waiting for brandon before making the final choice, We plan on paying first semester as that will help out to secure visa and he is young, about 21 next year. JustMellow: In most Canadian universities, tuition fees varies, depending on the course. However, a full funding or scholarship can only be awarded if the student meets certain requirement.
To the bolded, it depends on the department. Your brother's best bet would be to apply for scholarship if the idea is to get one when already studying.
All the best. |
