These intermediaries serve as a medium between VCs, Angel investors and startups entrepreneurs. A good example of intermediary in Nigeria is Co-Creator Hub and Building Things for NG, BTNG. In economies, economics of scale is the advantages a firm enjoys for growing up
Take administrative economics as an example. Large firms can employ the best managerial persons to put up a better administration of the firm than a small firm. In the face of competition, which is not yet common with tech startups in Nigeria, growing up will help have the better economics of scale to compete favourably.

Personal Ambition No entrepreneur start a business with the aim of remaining small. Every businessman put in all efforts necessary to move the business from a startup to a large one. The example of Hotels.ng speaks loud on these. After five years, the owner, Mark Essien, can be proud of what he has done so far and the future potential of his company.

Phones / NCC Reports 18000 Plus Consumers Complaints. See The Good And Bad Sides by edewojames(m): 12:21am On Dec 01, 2017
Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has released a report showing the number of consumers who sent complaints to them. All telecommunications providers' consumers complaints were included in the list. MTN has a bad side on a particular data while Airtel seems to be the best in the report.

The report shows that the total number of complaints received by the Commission is 18,711 for quarter three of 2017. Quite small, if compared with the number of persons in Nigeria registered via all telecommunications companies. This may indicates proper services by the telcos or consumers don't complaint over issues with their service provider or still they aren't aware of NCC toll free lines and social media network used to sent queries by users.

According to the report, the figure was collated based on complaints filed by consumers using NCC Toll free line (622), social media handles, consumer web portal and and written complaints.

The Bad side of MTN

Here is the bad side of MTN. Out of the 18,711, MTN has the bulk of it with 10,902 consumer complaints, which is 58.3 percent of the total figure. This is alarming! However, based on my assumption stated above, it is likely that most telecoms consumer that are aware of NCC consumer complaint medium uses MTN. Well, other assumptions should not be neglected.

Business / Six Goals Every Tech Startups Must Considered by edewojames(m): 6:23pm On Nov 30, 2017
Goals are objectives a business wants the achieve. The primary goal of any business is to earn profit. But a business should not be made with only the aim of making profit when its just begins and even when it becomes a full grown up. There are goals when achieved will not only give the business good public image but will also earn the business more customers.

There are goals when achieved will not only give the business good public image but will also earn the business more customers.
Company that gives to a community will earn reputation from that community and also more customer brand loyalty. So, startups should not focus on profit alone. Saying, its for the already well established businesses. Other goals must be considered while pursuing its profit objectives. Below are six goals tech startups should consider.

Startups should not focus on profit alone. Saying, its for the already well established businesses.

#1 Solve at least one problem in the society. Business is define as any lawful activities humans engaged in to make a living. I think it should be seen more than how it is defined. For one truth businesses also solve social and economic problems in the society.

Phones / Here Is The Infinix Zero 5. Is It Made Of Gold? by edewojames(m): 9:00am On Nov 16, 2017
To me I believe the Infinix Zero 5 is certainly made of Gold. Gold! Please don't get me wrong, I am not saying Infinix engineers actually crushed Gold to produced the Infinix Zero 5. The Infinix Zero 5 is refined and its a better upgrade than the Infinix Zero 4 Plus.

That's the Infinix Zero 4 Plus. Its quit a fancy smartphone. With a single rear and front camera, this gadget gives you a photograph that resonance with your lifestyle. Well, what about the Infinix Zero 5. A look at the photo, you will understand why I said its made of Gold. For now, I am not in the same level with this big tech bloggers, so, I couldn't be at the launch. So, I downloaded two photos of the Zero 5 that was captured by a female tech blogger in Nigeria. Here is it!

Now compare it with Zero 4. I believe you spot the difference. Probably, you now know why I said the Zero 5 is made of Gold. It is truly well refined. It is not just an upgrade of the Zero 4.

When it comes to buying a smartphone, the first thing that usually comes to mind is the camera and that is where I'll begin with. This "Gold" comes with two rear camera and that is commendable. Dual camera is here to stay and its cool that Infinix takes note of that and do not waste anytime including it in their flagship device.

I know Nigerians love camera, I don't know of the rest of the world. In my school days at Delta State University, a friend of mine, a girl ofcourse, don't joke with her phone camera. There is no day that passes by without her taking at least two photos in campus. And to confessed, many of the times, I do take the photographs.

Now back to business. The cameras, I mean the rear ones are 12MP wide lens and 13MP telephoto cameras with f/2.1 aperture as well as a Optical Image Stability (OIS). The front camera is 16MP which I believe will be great for selfies.

I take a look at the camera of the previous model of the zero's family. Infinix Zero 4 Plus has a single camera at the rear and the front views. The front camera is 13MP while the rear camera is 20.7MP. But, there was a OIS. This means the infinix Zero 5 is the first of its Zero family to has a dual rear camera but not the first to has an OIS. What Optical Image Stabilization does is to reduce blur when the phone shakes to some extent during a shooting.

Infinix mobility is proud about one aspect of the Zero 5. The portrait master! That's what the Zero 5 is called. During the launch in Dubai, the product manager of Infinix said that the camera editor has 9 levels of beauty. This means that, you have nine chances to adjust the lighting of a photo.

Zero 5 The #PotraitMaster is here. Nothing beats class, but we took it a notch higher. We redefined it. #LagosAreYouReady pic.twitter.com/vDHlhk05n7
— Infinix Nigeria (@InfinixNigeria) November 14, 2017

The Internal storage is another ”specification of the Infinix Zero 5”. The internal memory is 6GB RAM. However, the internal storage has two variants 64GB or 128GB ROM. You can also add an external storage of up to 128GB memory card. The previous flagship, the Zero 4 has 4GB RAM and a 64GB ROM.

Next, is the operating system. Certainly, Infinix Mobility can't go below the Android 7.0 Nougat for now until there is an upgrade. Infinix Zero 4 Plus also comes with the same software model. Probably Infinix will allow an upgrade in 2018 to the Android 8.0 Oreo. Infinix engineers also made another effort to ensure that the Infinix Zero 5 flagship is well refined. In the hardware, the chipset is from Mediatek. Infinix digress in the CPU. For Zero 4 Plus, the CPU is deca-core 2.0 GHz speed. But the Zero 5 CPU is an octa-core 2.6 GHz speed.

Helio P25 processor clocked at 2.6Ghz and a whopping 6GB of Ram. The #PotraitMaster ain't no child's play
— Infinix Nigeria (@InfinixNigeria) November 14, 2017
Though the CPU is reduced, the processing speed is till higher than the previous generation. More to that deca-core is very uncommon for now. Most flagships smartphones don't use this CPU. They use Octa-core's.

Infinix, also known as Infinix Mobility is ready and set for the big launch, the infinix flagship smartphone called the Zero 5. The phone will be launched on 14th November 2017. Since, Infinix and Tecno are at loggerhead, it is certain that the Infinix zero 5 will compete with Tecno Phantom 8.

In Nigeria, there are many gadgets consumers that uses Infinix in almost the same way that Tecno is used. So, really, unless a statistic is put in place by the ecommerce giants in Nigeria, it wouldn't be easy to estimate if it's Infinix or Tecno that is widely used in Nigeria.

Well, today is "Infinix Day" and Let's focused on it. As was mentioned early, the Infinix Zero 5 is ready, are you ready? The place of launch is Dubai. All roads, therefore, leads to Dubai.

Phones / The Upcoming Innjoo Vision Will Beat Phantom8 Hands Down by edewojames(m): 5:53am On Oct 27, 2017
Innjoo is on the verge of launching a new flagship smartphone, named the Innjoo Vision. And the tech company is not just building just any smartphone. Its following the current trends.

Most recent flagship smart phones innovated this year are bezel-less phones and innjoo is going for nothing less. The Innjoo Vision flagship as you can see in the photo is a bezel-less smartphone. The screen covers all aspect of the face view of the phone.

Also, from the photo, I can speculate some more features of the Innjoo Vision flagship. It is possible that the screen size will be 6.0 inch. There will be a fingerprint scanner at the rear of the device. The front camera will fall within 12MP and 20MP.

Also, since most flagships this year has dual camera at the rear, it is easy to say that the Innjoo Vision will also has a dual rear camera. Tecno, a major competitor for innjoo, launched its flagship smartphone just a while ago. But Tecno flagship is full of bezel. However, Innjoo is forward looking in this area and may with this new flagship compete favourable with Tecno Phantom8.

More to it, the Innjoo Vision looks very much like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 launched recently. However, I am hoping that Innjoo is not trying to clone Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Phones / Re: Leaked Design Of The Upcoming Phantom Smartphone Appeared Online by edewojames(m): 5:38pm On Oct 22, 2017
enny66:
It’s one year already yet it still seems like yesterday when TECNO Mobile released the then industry leading smartphone – the Phantom 6 smartphones which debuted dual rear cameras of exceptional configurations, high-end features and stylish slender design in Dubai. The Phantom 6 was one of the best things that happened to the smartphone market in September 2016 when it was launched at the Burj Khalifa, Dubai.

This year, smartphone followers and the media at large has kept a close eye on the mobile brand to get firsthand information about the next Phantom – launch location, model name, price and most importantly product design. With the new spy images of the next Phantom circulating online, it is safe to say that we finally have a peep into the highly anticipated device.

The latest Phantom is very slim and retains the flagships typical uni-body design from its predecessors. Its dual rear cameras have been completely redesigned and are positioned horizontally at the top left of the device’s rear. The cameras do not bulge and interestingly, the device is wrapped with a full metal glossy body.

Really, the released spy pictures bring a lot to bare regarding the luxury finishing of the device and users can only be left to imagine what the internal specs of the device, its fluidity, swag, functionality and price will be like; I don’t think we will have to wait for long though because the launch is around the corner.

Techno Phantom8 isn't a bezel-less smartphone. Well,I don't expect it to since its a middle range smartphone.

Below are ten things I think you should know about the Huawei Mate10. But before that, the phone got too many leaks and was finally launched in October 16, 2017. Huawei was the first the launched the Artificial Intelligence, AI, hardware chip
set before Apple in iPhone 8 and iPhone X.

Number one
There are three models of the Huawei Mate10. There is the regular Huawei Mate10, the Huawei Mate10Pro and the Huawei Mate10 Porsche designs.

Number Two
There are six colours available for this AI smartphone. It includes: Champagne Gold, Pink Gold, Mocha Brown, Black, Titanium Grey and Midnight Blue. The Huawei Mate10 Porsche colour is diamond black.

Number Three
Artificial Intelligence Hardware. That is what I called it. The SoC is Kirin 970. Which is also called Neural Engine or AI chip. The AI chip set is 300 percent faster and support languages of over 50 both online and offline.

Number Four
The operating system is Android 8.0 Oreo. Huawei is therefore the first Android Phone aside Google Pixel 2 series to have this new OS.
