LinkedIn has finally launched it's apps on Windows 10 today, 17th July 2017. The app will give Windows 10 users more user experience and engagement compared with the app on previous Windows operating system.

Millions of professionals used LinkedIn using there browser on Windows 10. Therefore, LinkedIn on Windows 10 will improve the way professionals used the application software. The new app comes with three new interesting features.

Users can access the app via Start menu or from the task bar on desktop. This therefore improve accessibility. You can pin a Live Tile. The Live Tile is like Twitter Highlight. Immediately you click on start, the Live Tile will show you important highlight from your connection.

The third interesting feature is the Windows 10 Action Center. According to LinkedIn blog,

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is getting more leaks from /leaks. The new photos surfaced today revealed the looks and branding of this Phablet. The first leaks showed three black colour Galaxy Note 8. With various apps in it. The three devices have different themes on them. From the photos it is clear that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 front view will be occupied mostly by the screen, as already predicted in the past.



The next photo leaks was the Chinese banner of the upcoming Galaxy Note 8. China is one of the countries that will use the device immediately it is released along with USA, Canada and South Korea. There is virtually no difference between the photos above and the Chinese poster. This will mean that all previous rumours are true.



Lastly, is the branding of the Galaxy Note 8 phone. In preparation for its launch the device as already gets its brand colours ready. It seems that the colours shown in this photos is the likely colour variants of the device.

Leaks and rumours of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has been live almost immediately after the tech giant released the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus in June this year. Android Police reported yesterday that the tech company is set to unveil the Galaxy Note 8 device on 23th of August 2017.

You will recall that there has been predictions as to when the device will be launched. Some as predicted September because, it is the date Samsung usually released its flagship Galaxy Note. While others have speculated August, so that, Samsung can beat up competitions from Apple and Google.

Rumours about the internal and external features were also leaked. It is rumoured that the Galaxy Note 8 will be cloned from Galaxy S8. It will have an chipset from Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 for the U.S alone and the international chip set will be from Exynos.

The Bixby button will be at the left hand conner and may likely support America and Chinese languages. Samsung has purchased a voice assistance startup in Greece to help synergize its effort to improve the Bizby AI.

Below are photos of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 leaked recently as Samsung comes closer to the day of its launched. The photo shows that the phone will have large screen when compared to it's body. Bloggers have said that it will have a 18.5:9 screen to body ratio. The screen is expected to be 6.3 inches in diagonal with Quad HD Infinix display. As you will notice in the photo (black) below, the on/of button will be in the right corner of the device. The volume and Bixby button is at the left corner of the device. If previous gossips are true the device's body will be made of metal and the screen with glass.

Other features posted previously here shows a 3.5 headphone port and a digital pencil called SPen on the button corner. From the face of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, you will notice the speaker on it possible two LED flash and a camera.

A source showed that Google and Amazon have the largest market share in the Cloud business. A recent market report also shows that Microsoft crowd server market revenue increased by 15 percent and Azure increased by 93 percent.

Another report shows that Microsoft job cuts are for the good of the company. As it will result in increase in profit for the tech company.

Information on my reach from a reliable sources showed that a system update with your Galaxy S8 will result to the Bixby app in your galaxy S8 to block remapping. This means that you will not be able to enjoy all the features of Bixby immediately you update your S8 Phablet. It also means that you cannot use the Bixby app as a shortcut to the Bixby button.

So, to avoid this you will need not to update the device. However, failure not to update your Samsung S8 may dangerous, since update helps to secure your device, so it is'nt advisable.

I have earlier reported that Microsoft will be laying off some of its sales and marketing staff this year. However, the number was'nt known by me then. According to a news posted by Nigeria communications Week, Microsoft may actually be cutting off 3,000 Employees. However, some of them may be giving new Job roles, since the company only want to reduce its traditional sales staff.

But that is not the amazing neither is it terrifying. But why? According to the same source, laying off of workers by Microsoft has become a tradition. The company has actually retrenched 18,000 employees in 2014. Last year alone, Microsoft layoff 2,850 staff of which 900 are sales staff.

As I said earlier, it seems it has becomes a tradition for Microsoft to cutoff Jobs, all for the name of one commercial term called "reorganisation". Who knows how many employees will be layoff next year by 1st of July when that company will begin its next financial year.

TechPlus 2017 Conference has began today. From TechPlus Twitter account, photos have been uploaded showing the grand opening of the event. Barrister Adebayo Shittu, the Honourable Minister of Communication, cut the ribbon to mark the start of the conference.

Tunji Adeyinka, the General Manager of Republicom gave the opening remark to commence the opening ceremony of TechPlus 2017.

According to the Twitter post from TechPlus today, at least 90 tech personalities are to give speech at the conference and more than 10 master classes will be given to trained those registered for the conference to gain knowledge from technology companies around the globe.

Many Tech businesses are expected to be represented at the event including FinTech firms like Paystack.

The conference will hold from today, the 6th to 8th of July 2017 at Land Mark Event Center, Victoria Island Lagos.

Top tech personalities to be present include Silas Adekunle, CEO of Reach Robotic, Nnamdi Ezeigbo, CEO of Slot Limited, Chude Jideonwo, Ade Bayomo, Head of Market Operations and Service NSE, are among the few to present at the conference.

The Nigeria Communication Commission, NCC, has recently warned of the possibility of another ransomware attack called Petya. Patya just like the ransonware that occurs in May 2017 can destroy PCs and organisation's system; and at the same time request for $300 to be paid via Bitcoin.

NCC therefore, as set out steps to be taken by Nigerians using the internet to prevent this ransonware attack.

Avoid clicking links from unknown likes, protect your computers while using a public WiFi, do not use websites that are unreliable and unsafe, avoid clicking links that takes you to social media sites such as Facebook, instagram and whatsapp (instead visit the site directly through URL, before opening email verify the originality of the user, do not open attachments to emails from suspicious senders, store all your documents in 'my document folder' and regularly back up files are some of the precautions citizens should undertake.

The ransomware Petya, "has a better mechanism for spreading itself than WannaCry”, NCC report. It uses three ways to get into a PC or an organisation's computers.

As reported by NCC, one way Petya can damage a system is by scanning the local system 24 hours to find out Admins, then executes malware using PSEXEC.

The second mechanism is the use of Windows Management Instrumentation Command-line (WMIC) tool. It can use this tool to connect to hosts on the local subnet and attempts to execute itself remotely on those hosts. It can also "use Mimikatz to extract credentials from the infected system and use them to execute itself on the targeted host."

And the third is to Petya use the ETERNALBLUE exploit tool against hosts on the local subnet. Petya can be successful here if the system does not have MS17-010 patches in it.

Virtual Reality, VR, is becoming very popular day-by-day and Google is living no stone unturned in it. As part of its' Experimental areas 120 programme kick start this year, Google will start experimenting Video Ads on VR.

This is as a result of call by VR developers who are looking for ways to make money to fund their their VR applications.

During the Area 120 section, Google has come up with a potential format. Google think of using cube to present ads on VR. This is just an idea and may not be how ads will display on VR.

In creating ads for VR developers and users had said they preferred ads that not disruptive, not hard-to-implement ad experiences in VR.

Using the cube, VR users can simply tap the cube or gaze at the cube in a few seconds, "the cube opens a video player where the user can watch, and then easily close, the video."

According to Google developer blog, "Our work focuses on a few key principles - VR ad formats should be easy for developers to implement, native to VR, flexible enough to customize, and useful and non-intrusive for users."

Google would want native ads, which its intend to call Advr, to work on various VR gadgets such as Samsung Gear VR, Cardboard (both Android and iOS) and Google Daydream.

Since the project to create native ads on VR is till on, Google is encouraging developers of VR and potential developers to test the program by applying for it here.

If Google succeed with creating ads on VR, it will be one of the greatest achievement its' Experimental Area 120 present.

A 3D artist, Saber Kchikech has shown in a video how the new Sony Xperia smartphone will look like when lunched.

Though the date of lunched is unknown, it is expected that the Japanese tech company released this phone before the year runs out.

As can be seen in the photos above, the device should have a dual tone flashlight and a metallic body. It also has a silver body. The phone will not have a visible button on the face of it. This is rear as most smartphone produced by other leaders in the mobile phone industry has a button at the face of the device.

Other details such as its SoC, operating system, dimension, etc are not yet known. I hope to provide these information to you immediately I discovered them.

Samsung, after releasing it's Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus on April 2017 may be ready for lunching the Galaxy S8 Active. I can say so because, the Galaxy S8 Active has successfully passes the FCC testing recently.

As you will see from the photo below, revealed by AT&T, the phone has the a list number SM-G892A model number, a FCC ID A3LSMG892A, Samsung name on top and the AT&T logo at the bottom. The device will have a camera, flashlight and a fingerprint scanner at the back of it.

Though, it was not stated what the mega pixel S8 Active will posses, it is possible that it will have a 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera which is similar to Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. It may also come with a chipset from Qualcomm Snapdragon. And an Android Operating system of 7.0 Nougat.

Gossips around the internet also shows that the device may have the same water resistence quality like its predecessors. A resolution of 2008 x 1080, the screen will be 5.4 inches HD screen, a memory of 4GB RAM, internal storage of 64GB ROM and an removeable external storage of up to 256GB.

If the gossip is true, the phone will be similar to other Samsung S Active series and it will be getting ready to be lunched this year.
