Phones / Re: URGENT: Issues With Including Payment Method On Itunes by edewojames(m): 1:41pm On Feb 07, 2018
hedris20:
please, i just bought iPhone 5s few weeks back. i was given 3 months free trails to enjoy free music with payment.

But before i can use it, i have to register my ATM card details.

I have tried it with my gtb master card, first bank visa card and access bank master card.

Its not going through at all

The error message i get is payment method decline. update your billing info.

Please anyone who face this type of issues before or have the idea to solve this problem, should please help me

Its urgent
It is possible that you use your ATM to pay bill when you don't have money on your bank account and as a result your ATM is blocked so you CNT use the ATM anymore. What you need to do is get a new ATM.

If this is not the case, then go complain to your bank explaining the details.

No 2 is specifications. this one is another big factor. example is chipsets segregation, Processor, Ram and Rom sizes, camera, etc.

Nigerians have grown from buying devices based on budget alone, they now require certain specifications. So it makes sense to buy a fairly used samsung J7 than a Tecno Spark k9

I reserve what I taught. But I am asking you guys and ladies here. Because its very important. The way Nigerians patronise second hand smart phones is alarming especially in Alaba and ikeja market. Why would someone pay 80k to buy an iPad (second hand) when he/she can use that money to buy a new smartphone?

Phones / A Letter From Mark Zuckerberg As Facebook Turns Fourteen Plus I Was Nineteen by edewojames(m): 9:52am On Feb 05, 2018
It been fourteen years now that the social media giant Facebook has been in existence. The founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg writes a letter on his Facebook page to remember and explain all what he and his team have gone through. In the letter, the CEO stated that he was 19 years when he started Facebook. Having no idea about business or how to build a global internet service.

He said that his team in an effort to bring the world closer together has made several mistakes. He said of himself of trusting the wrong people, making the wrong deal and putting talented people in the wrong roles among others.

What Mark Zuckerberg said can be of motivation to Africa techprenuers. Reading it should make them know that sometimes, if not most times success is built on past failures. Failures in itself does mean the end, it only giving rooms for improvement. You can read the full letter below.

Truly, Nigerians love phones with powerful camera but many of us can't afford the biggest camera phones like the Iphones, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8, and other high budget smart phones. But here comes Tecno, Infinix, Goinee, and others providing affordable phones with quality camera.

The tecno Phantom 8 launched last year is one of the many affordable flagship smartphones that has rocked not only the Nigeria consumer electronic market but also Africa as a whole.

The Phantom 8 design is something to long for in the eyes. Though, I haven't been privilege to have a feel of it, but, I can tell from what I have seen and read about this smartphone is thrilling and here I want to share these to you.

But the design is just the few things about the Phantom 8. The camera is another area to consider especially for camera lovers. I means those that always say "selfie" when they are about to take photo.

There is more to read as I can't post every thing here. Read the rest here: http://www.nairawired.com.ng/2018/01/the-phantom-8-diamond-fire-design-is-not-the-reason-to-buy-it-but-the-unobstructed-camera.html

Phones / Samsung S9, S9 Plus Gets More Leaks Since December, Some Tech Expert Wants The B by edewojames(m): 8:29pm On Jan 27, 2018
Since December 2017, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ is getting leaks swirling in than you can ever imagine. The Samsung S9 has its code name as 'star' while the S9 Plus code name is 'Star 2'. However, some techies wants the Bixby button removed. Though, I am voting for it to remain while Samsung works on improving it.

Marques Brownlee, a tech vlogger on YouTube and the person behind stating the best smartphone for the year, argued for the removal of the Bixby button which is located at the left corner of Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+ and even the previous model, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.

The D-day for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ is around the corner. A press invitation given to tech journalists showed that the phone will be launch in Barcelona, Spain where the Mobile World Congress will be held. The actual date for the launch is on the 25th of February, 2018. So, be expecting the flagship smartphone soon enough. Okay! But note that it will started shipment from March 16.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ Design

Well, let's take a look at the design. Samsung is trying to sell more of the S9+ than the S9. The design and certain internal specification may push an interested buyer to go for the Samsung Galaxy S9+ instead of the Samsung Galaxy S9.

Phones / NCC Gives Six Conditions For 9mobile. States It Has Not Choose Any Bidder by edewojames(m): 9:23am On Jan 12, 2018
Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has gives six conditions for the acquisition of 9Mobile. For some time, the media has been saying that a particular bidder has been approved by NCC to acquire 9Mobile. The commission said in the press statement that it hasn't decide on any bidder to acquire the telco.

It stated; "Our attention has been drawn to newspaper publications alleging that a preferred bidder has been anointed to acquire 9Mobile and otherwise speculating on the outcome of the ownership transfer process."

NCC, therefore states six processes that will lead to the acquisition:

1. Barclays Africa remains in full control of the process leading to the emergence of a new owner for the company. Barclays has not authorized any publication on the matter and is obliged to maintain full confidentiality thereon.

2. An approval of the request for extension of time by the 9Mobile Interim Board was given by the 2 regulators - NCC and CBN. This set the deadline for the receipt of binding offers from the prospective bidders till 16th January 2018.

3. Contrary to speculations that a “winner” will be announced on the same day (i.e. 16th of January 2018) we wish to clarify that Barclays is expected to review the bids received by the deadline and to make recommendations to the 9Mobile Interim Board thereafter.

4. The NCC and CBN will be duly notified once the 9Mobile Interim Board accepts Barclays’ recommendations and a winning bid is determined in accordance with the terms of the exercise.

5. The winner will now apply to NCC in order to commence the processes for securing the regulatory approvals from the Board of the NCC necessary to give full effect to the transfer.

6. We trust that the foregoing sufficiently clarifies the position of the transaction and that it lays to rest any apprehensions regarding the unfounded media publications on the sale.

The statement was made available by NCC director for Public Affairs. It therefore clears that NCC is do not decide the company to acquire 9Mobile. But the process is left with an independent intermediary that is Barclay Africa.

Blockchains are usually secured. This new phone uses Encryption of Things, EOT. It is made by BitVault. From the photo, the Blockchain smartphone is not different from our regular android and iOS phones.

The phone features include secured calling, secure messaging, Dynamic key creation, cryptocurrency wallet and BitVault App store. Let's start with secured calling...

Phones / Tecno Camon Cmore Is Crafted With Edge To Edge Bezel-less Design And Other Specs by edewojames(m): 7:51am On Jan 07, 2018
It's no longer news that Tecno Camon CMore will be launched on Monday, January 8. Even Tecno, in its Twitter account, shot a video to reveal the date for the Tecno Camon CMore launch. But, the venue of launch is not yet known.

One interesting feature of this device that really makes me want to have a grip on it, is the edge-to-edge bezel-less design. Actually, in 2017 top flagship smartphone makers introduced full bezel-less screen. But here Tecno is pushing for a edge to edge bezel-less screen. You can notice it from the photo. At each edge there is very little or no bezel. But at the top and button of it, you will notice some bezels. This is really interesting. And the Tecno Camon CMore will be the first of Tecno phones to come with this feature.

Now let's look at the general specifications I found on YouTube. And its possible it's true even though Tecno hasn't confirm it. You can watch the video.
