Phones / June Report: Nigerian Telecom Internet Subscribers Reaches 91 Million Plus by edewojames(m): 2:10am On Jul 30, 2017
Nigerian telecommunications internet subscribers reaches a new peak of more than 91million. Nigerian Communication Commission, NCC, has reported yesterday the number of internet subscribers in Nigeria.

The figure stands at at 91,598,757 GSM subscribers for June, 2017. However, the figure for May stands at 91,565,010. This is an increase of additional 33,747 subscribers many of whom may have started using internet services, many of which may have opt out from internet services and later on continues it or may have switch brand. This is for telcos that are in the GSM industry. For the CDMA's, that is, Visafone and Multilinks their subscribers are 30,309. The CDMA industry do not witness any variations. Adding both figures together give a total of 91,598,757.

The increase is also as a result of variations to the number of internet subscribers of the six telecommunication companies in Nigeria. MTN gets the highest number of internet subscribers with 31,691,070. Despite the Phonophobia issues between Nigeria and South Africa, MTN subscribers soar more in June with an increase of 284,629 subscribers.

Etisalat have the lowest internet subscribers with just a figure of 12,549,596. The number of subscribers on their internet services dropped accounting to the report. A negative value of 293,828 subscribers switched brand. The May figure was 12,843,424. What brand did the subscribers switch to?

Brand switching is very common in the telecom industry as many uses more than one network provider. Therefore, immediately a telco stop their promotion many subscribers will switch to the next brand.

Phones / How To Submit A Complaint To NCC, If You Are Not Satisfy With Your Telecom Servi by edewojames(m): 8:34am On Jul 27, 2017
In the business world there is a saying that the consumer is the king. So, it is in the tech world. Consumer is still the king till tomorrow. And tomorrow never ends. Many of us in Nigeria always faces issues with our Telecommunication service providers. After calling their customer care line, to rectify the problem, most times we are not satisfied with the reply from this telcos.

For example, I may recharge my sim card with a certain amount of money and before I know it this telco guy will immediately deduct my money for no just reasons. I knew I am not alone in this, you too probably may be facing similar situation.

If that is the case your problem is almost over, as telcos regulator in Nigeria, known as Nigeria Telecommunications Commission has come up with a way of dealing with it. The NCC wants to ensure that Telcos consumers have value for their money and also ensure that they are satisfied with whatever brand of telecommunication service provider they use.

To learn more on how to go about complaints to Telecom service provider, please click this link here or better still I can tell you how you can go about it anytime you are greived with your telco. I read it from that same link so, it very reliable.

What you need to do, first of all, is to call your telco provider through their service provider. Nomally these telcos should satisfied your complaint. However, if you are not satisfy with them then you should proceed to filling up the form on this Link or call 622 NCC toll free line. Ensure that you have the complain ticket number.

How do you get a complain ticket number? Quite easy! Anytime you talk to your telco customer care agent, at the end of the call, they will send you an SMS telling you that your complaint has being resolve. In that text message you will see your complaints ticket number. This is the number you will use to fill up your complaint with the commission. Believe me NCC is serious on this they will immediately resolved the issue.

That is how simple it is. So, now you can deal with your Telco, if they fail to provide worthy services. More so, those text messages you receive that you do not need. Can be dealt with now. In case you don't know. All you need to do is to send "STOP" to 2442 to activate the DO NOT DISTURB service or send "HELP" to 2442 to select the type of messages you prefer to receive.

As for me, I send STOP to 2442 and after two days I wasn't disturb anymore. So choose which one favour you. That all for now until I have something else to tell you.
