Goke7: selfish play is another interesting point am beginning to see here as one of the reasons for our previous world cup woes. Someone need to speak with victor moses fast. he is a good culprit here Yep Victor Moses and Onyekuru(if he makes the squad) are the main culprits. |

Yak's miss at 2010 seems to be the theme of our world cup that year, but let's not forget Martins miss in that game as well where he tried to go for the fancy chip instead of placing it. Osaze(or was it Obasi??)messed up too against Argentina when they went for glory instead of simply passing for a tap in. That 2010 WC was so frustrating to watch for me. |

Kog45: Nice analysis but i want to tell u point blank that there is nothing like players refused to give Yekini ball at US 94.
Try and watch our video clips especially our match against Italy.Mike Emenalo made a pass that a pregnant woman would have score but Yekini failed to convert it,this was in d dying minutes of d game.
Yekini wasn't at his best at US 94,he was well read by our opponents and neutralised. One of d worst outing for Yekini is US 94.
Truly conflicts almost ruined d team coz prior to our match against Italy,Siasia had training ground scuffled with Olishe but Westerhoff didn't handle d situation very well and it affect our performance against Italy.
Siasia was dropped from d team and Jayjay replaced him but it was a match that forced me not to rate Okocha as a serious footballer. We had everything to beat Italy but Jay jay was playing to himself just like d way he did against Denmark at France 98.
In that match after injury to Amokachie, Siasia should have replaced him and Ikpeba replace Amuneke but Westerhoff went for Mutiu Adepoju and Thompson Oliha.
The team couldn't build on d momentum of attacking football again especially in d second half we need to defend and this forced Olishe to make a mistake that led to Italy equalising goal. But Keshi and Westerhof both confirmed that Yekini was purposely starved of service. |

terzurum5: Iwobi Snr: Alex Is In Super Eagles Squad On Merit, Not Because Of Okocha
https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/41084alex.png
Alex Iwobi's dad, Chuka Iwobi, has dismissed claims that the Arsenal winger was favoured and fast-tracked into the Super Eagles squad because former Nigeria captain Austin Okocha is his uncle.
Iwobi, capped at U16, U17 and U18 level by England, was invited to train with Nigeria's U23 national team in 2015, before he was promoted to the Super Eagles, making his debut against Democratic Republic of Congo.
''For Alex at his age playing with people like Mikel Obi, Echiejile and Onazi it is unbelievable,'' Iwobi's dad told Complete TV.
''I look at it and I say what a joy, what a privilege playing with these guys who are well known throughout the continent and for Alex to be part of that structure and being there on merit.
'' Alex is not here because Jay Jay is his uncle, it doesn't work that way. He's come here, staked a claim, he's done well.''
Iwobi is set to add to add to his international caps when Nigeria battle Algeria and Argentina next month.

forgiveness: Don't be deceived, Traore wasn't able to break into Vitesse first team in his first season while Dominic Solanke started with a bang though he was younger than Traore. Why? Traore played mostly as a winger in his first season. That changed the next season and his numbers improved. |

Wolfsburg German-Nigerian Defender Uduokhai Turns Down Fresh Approach Highly rated Wolfsburg defender Felix Ohis Uduokhai has turned down a fresh approach from Nigeria to be a part of their squad to the World Cup 2018 in Russia. Uduokhai who is presently a German youth international has grown into one of the best young defenders in the German Bundesliga since his move from second division side 1860 Munich to Wolfsburg. His performance made Nigeria who are already through to the World Cup to approach him to switch allegiance to them, but according to Germany based Nigerian journalist Oma Akatugba, Uduokhai turned down the approach. ” He (Uduokhai) does not seem interested. He is more focused on playing for Germany, where he is a youth international. He says he has been approached but wants to focus on his game for now”, Akatugba told Owngoalnigeria.com. ” When you hear this kind of statements you know what they mean”, Akatugba concluded. won't take anything from own goal with a grain of salt yet, but if these report is true...then we have to move on from the Uduokhai noise here, at these point let the foreign born lads come to us and beg to play for Nigeria, tired of the begging already, let the likes of Tammy and Uduokhai keep for waiting on England and Germany respectively, tired of the hype already. http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/10/20/wolfsburg-german-nigerian-defender-uduokhai-turns-down-fresh-approach-from-rohr/ |

tbaba1234: Racism in the US is not always direct. It is often subtle. It is when you have lived long that you start to notice the signs and shut it down when possible. Sometimes, people grow up with stereotypes of what black people are like and run with it. It is systemic. I live in the east coast too. The east coast (NY especially) isn't that bad though(depending on where you live). I can never imagine myself living in places like SC and Alabama. Those guys are proper rednecks |

forgiveness: In regards to Obagoal, Ike Uche and Odenwinge, I think they are very good and you are sure to get a goal with these guys.
Unfortunately, when these players were banging in goals left right center in Europe our bad belle coaches decided to drop them for lesser strikers.
However, if these three players are still banging in goals left right and center, I don't mind they are invited to the National team because we don't have any inform young striker in the best leagues in Europe and in the National team that can lace their shoes.
As it being that Kelechi and Kayode (because they are the only two consistent prolific strikers playing at the highest level) are banging in goals left right and center, I don't need to even think about these men but because as sand sand don pass garri, I will prefer Martins and ike Uche if they continue to score goals for their clubs. I don't know about Odenwinge.
However, I think we can split the three slots for the striker to three categories.
I. For informed experienced striker II. For a mixed of both informed young and experienced striker II. For very young informed striker
Based on these categories,
Category 1
Odion Ighalo - 14 goals and 3 assists (25 games in CSL)
Obafemi Martins - 7 goals and 3 assists (12 games in CSL)
Osaze Odenwinge 13 goals and 5 assists out of 18 games in Indonesia)
Ikechuckwu Uche 5 goals and 0 assist out of 8 games in the la Liga 2
Brown Ideye clubless
Anthony Nwakaeme 0 goals and 1 assist out of 5 games in Israel
Category 2
Ahmed Musa - EPL Kayode Olanrewaju - LA Liga Aaron Samuel - Russia Ebere Paul Onuachu - Denmark Simeon Nwankwo - Seria A
Category 3
Kelechi Iheanacho Tammy Abraham Cyriel Dessers Dominic Solanke Dennis Bonaventure Peter Olayinka Taiwo Awoniyi Osimhen Sadiq Umar
Based on current form and pedigree of leagues, please choose one from each categories, we are good to go.
Please, no sentiments and give reasons. Category I - Very difficult but I'd pick Ighalo. He's far more mobile than Ike Uche and Martins and while he might not be as skillful and creative as Uche and Martins, he has a physical advantage over them. Category II - Kayode no brainer. Pacy, hardworking, he can offer us what Musa used to in the past. Category 3 - hmmm very very difficult. You wan set guys up abi I'd pick Nacho sha. Best finisher out of the lot and can pay as SS. Tammy would be a close second but an inform Ighalo can offer us what he does. Nacho's finishing ability is one we can't afford to leave behind. |

Just like Nigeria, the Three Lions of England are through to next year World Cup, hence the need to play preparatory games has become imperative before the start of the tournament next year in June. According to a report on Nigerian online portal , the English FA contacted their Nigerian counterparts shortly after the Super Eagles sealed progress to the World Cup with a 1-0 win over Zambia. The game has been slated for next year but it will only hold if both teams are not in the same group when the draws for the World Cup is made in December. ”We have received a mail from the FA asking for the friendly with the Eagles but it will only be confirmed after the draws, if we are in the same group we cannot play against each other”, an unnamed source at the NFF was quoted as saying by .
Nigeria have only faced England twice with the first game taking place in 1995, when England ran out 1-0 winners at the old Wembley stadium in a friendly game, their path crossed again at the World Cup in Japan/South Korea and it ended. Source: http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/10/17/international-friendly-nff-confirm-approach-from-england-reports/ Watch them give Tammy a debut that day like they did with Welbeck against Ghana. |

Nacho and his agents are to blame if he flops at Leicester. Why this guy would choose getting a British passport over playing in teams like Monaco and Hoffenheim where he'd been under world class coaches is baffling to me. He HAS to adapt his game as Leicester aren't clearly going to build the team around him when Vardy is around. Such a shame clubs like Southampton weren't in for him...it'd have been much better than playing in this Leicester team. To early to rule him out, but things aren't looking good for him. |
