. I don't tink so because neither of those names u mentioned won a single league trophy for their respective clubs and only Mane *Might* go to the world cup amongst the 3 u mentioned. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope caf is fair enough this time around. Bt wilfred ndidi is supposed to be in dat list. What has Atsu, Percy tau, etc played to merit dat list? The world is watching o Caf
Yeah I agree Ndidi should've made the list. I think Tau played well in CAF champions League plus WC and ANC qualifiers
Keita made Bundesliga team of the year and Salah has been hot for 18 months now. Vic Moses should come at least 5th place

Can any of Victor Moses or Trust Ekong win APOTY 2017? I knew it's gonna be tough the moment I saw Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah in the list. But I tink the 3 finalists will be Moses, Salah and Mane. Any of them can win it. BTW, why is Wilfred Ndidi not on the list? The guy has been consistent for club and country...

Modified: Aubameyang can win it as well. Its surely gonna be tough for our own VicMo
I forgot about Salah sef. Top 3 will be Salah, Keita and Aubamayeng/Mane. Vic Moses won't make the final 3...I'll be surprised if he did

We've eventually come to the same Conclusion Bro. I said it earlier he's gonna definitely be a Hit as a B2B Midfielder because of his Strength, Pace and Tenacity.

Also I claimed he's best played as a Wing-Forward cos he excelled well playing the Position at Rio Olympic. Thus it's apparent Etebo can't be classed as a AM which limit the Numbers of AMs on the List to two - Mikel and Iwobi respectively.

Hope you get the Reason I asked for the Inclusion of Muazam on the List bro?!
I completely agree with you. If Rohr indeed invited Chidiebere Nwakali for his versatility, why can't he do that with an attacking player? Remember Idowu is also on the standby list, so that means at the moment we have Echiejile, Idowu, Aina and probably Ebuehi who can play as LB. We already have Agu, Ogu, Ndidi, Onazi, Etebo, Mikel and even Shehu and Agbo who can fill in as DM, why can't we find someone who is versatile enough to replace Mikel as AM and play on the wings?? Why hasn't he tried out someone like Aluko who can play on the wings and as a 10?? If we only rely on Iwobi as Mikel's replacement, we lose the creativity needed out wide especially if we're going to stick to this Ndidi - Onazi axis which will always require Mikel to drop back to dictate play.

Dumbo.

The reactor in ABU is a research reactor. Very similar to the research reactors in South Africa that produce radioisotopes used in nuclear medicine (I'd know because it was part of semester work in school).

It is very different in size, complexity, and risk from power reactors.

Moreover, we have only one research reactor in the country. The government intended to have two and they started planning in 1977. Took them 20+ years to set up the first. 20+ bloody years. Someone somewhere is sitting on the one that's supposed to be set up in OAU.

Is it this lackadaisical attitude that you'd have confidence in to effectively manage a nuclear plant?

I'd only accept it if South Africans man it full-time for the first two decade with Nigerian scientists assisting in management. And then the SAs are phased off gradually.

-Lord
He also forgot to mention we've had it since 2004 instead of the 40 years which he bandied around. People like him will keep praising mediocrity under the guise of being "patriotic".

Interesting they finally got this deal done. I've been hearing talks for years. Now who wants it in their state? I remember they wanted to site it in Akwa Ibom but it was resisted. Nuclear power statistically is safest form of power if you are diligent about maintenance. Next we don't have natural disasters. They only issue is Nigerian factor. I have zero confidence in federal government managing the plant.

What I would like to see is a study on feasibility of thorium salt reactor. I read its safer than uranium reactor and can't be used to make nuclear bombs.

Yep that's the real issue. We have a very poor maintenance culture. We can't even maintain our stadiums properly.

It will be good for Iheanacho and any other Naija player finding it rough in their present clubs to read this article. Look for a coach that'll bring out the best in you. Simone Zaza and Guedes left their previous clubs and are doing very well now. Especially Zaza, he didn't have to die at West ham before he knew that league was not for him.

Does Alex Iwobi need to be a goalscorer to be a success?

By Dan Critchlow- Oct 28, 2017

https://dailycannon.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Iwobi-e1503649410350.png

After two goals in the space of a week won Alex Iwobi a lot of favour with fans of Arsenal and Nigeria, we’re looking at whether goals are necessary for the 21-year-old to be an important part of the Gunners’ first-team.

Before I get started, I think I need to point out that obviously an Iwobi scoring goals is better than one that isn’t. Just as Nacho Monreal is better when he’s scoring, or Jack Wilshere. When players do the job they’re in the team to do, and then score goals as well, that’s the ideal situation.

Arsène Wenger seemed to agree with this sentiment in a recent interview. He told his Brighton post-match press conference (via ESPN):“A player like him must score 10 goals, and he must as well give between six and 10 assists, and that’s what I want from him.

“He is the kind of player who has good availability, helps you a lot to get out of pressure and creates spaces. But what you want from him is final balls and goals as well.”

Adding goals would be a welcome addition to Alex’s game, so if Wenger can push him to convert more chances, that’s clearly a good thing. However, I wouldn’t drop Nacho or Jack if they didn’t score, and although Iwobi plays a forward role, I think he always has a part to play, scoring or not.

Iwobi contributes a lot more to the team than just goals and assists, and I think that’s something often overlooked by fans. After the goal against Brighton, and then the goal that qualified Nigeria for the World Cup against Zambia, Iwobi drew praise from fans on social media, with the added qualification that he has to keep scoring now.

But I’m not sure he does ‘have to’. Personally I’d play him either way. Last season, when Arsenal were at their best, before the Everton and Manchester City matches, Iwobi had only scored one goal in 10 matches, and yet the team were unbeaten in all 10.

Against Chelsea, in the third match of that run, Iwobi didn’t score or assist, but won man-of-the-match as the Gunners ran out 3-0 winners. Whilst he wasn’t the one scoring or providing the goals, he was facilitating the play. For Theo Walcott’s goal, Iwobi found space behind the midfield and collected the ball from Özil. He played a one-two with the German, then executed a through-ball behind the defence for Hector Bellerín, who provided the assist.

No goal, no assist, but there’s no doubt the goal couldn’t have happened without him.

Iwobi executes these kinds of moves every time I watch him. He finds the space and receives the ball, often in tight areas. Then his first touch, decision making and eye for a pass do the rest. Other players get the ball in positions where they can score or assist because of him. The team retains possession where they’d otherwise lose it because of him.

In addition, you shouldn’t overlook the fact that Alex is an academy product. That fact alone helps in multiple ways. It means he has a connection to Arsenal greater than anyone who made the move for a big transfer fee and high wages. It means he goes down as a homegrown player on the squad lists, and makes him a role model for Reiss Nelson, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and the rest. It gives the fans someone to be proud to call their own.

So yes, I want Iwobi to score more, and I’m glad he’s been showing he can with the goals against Bayern and Benfica in pre-season, then Brighton and Zambia in his limited competitive appearances. But a team of eleven goalscorers wouldn’t win many matches, you need more than that.

dailycannon.com/2017/10/does-alex-iwobi-need-to-be-a-goalscorer-to-be-a-success/
Iwobi needs to add goals and take more risks in his play. Sometimes it's like he's afraid to make mistakes and becomes too passive when you expect him to drive forward. There's big potential there but he needs to be playing with more confidence.

Firstly, Etebo is not in the class of Muller. In fact no Nigerian player is.

To your last paragraph, check my earlier comment: I said Etebo cannot be playing the number 10 position when we have Mikel and Iwobi in the team. Also that this is the senior level and not the U23.

We are talking about the FIFA world cup here.

And as I said before, the type system you play will go a long way in determining the type of 10 you'll field.
Etebo has the same attribute as Alli and Muller i.e they are very good in exploiting space and making runs from deep. He can play as a 10 i.e AM provided you have creativity on the wing and a good ball playing CM behind him.
He can always switch positions with someone like Iwobi during the game.
