Ramon92:
Good one coming from the NPFL. We have very good youngsters with the potential to be among the very best in the world, If only our league can be rebranded and made fully professional, with good database and exposure.

I'm sure many people will come and start questioning and doubting their ages, but will be quick to believe and admire the ages and potential of youngsters from other places - Gianluigi Donnarumma of Milan (17yrs), Paul Pogba (23), Harry kane (23), Romelu Lukaku, John Stones etc...

Let's discourage double standards as well as low self esteem but instead encourage and stop badmouthing our own...
Quit the bullshit. Some of these guys are way overage. You should not be encouraging age cheating. Now I give the NFF credit for the progress it has made in trying to stamp it out, but it still has a very long way to go to reducing it to the barest minimum.
Condemn age cheating and try to encourage the talented players that are of age, not this lame excuse of yours.

One technical area that needs to be changed in the Super Eagles is the goalkeeping department. I am sure that I am not the only one seeing Akpeyi shaking and jittery... He flopped a ball again leading to the Senegalese goal. Emmanuel Daniel was much better than him in the Olympics and I am sure can do a better job if given a shot.

Just like Rohr is exploring for better players, so should the goalkeeping coaches. Ezenwa is not even the best in Nigeria. Akpeyi can still be on the team but not as second choice. This friendlies would have offered us a chance to see one new keeper. Ikeme is injury - prone and Enyeama is not ready to come back.
Think he needs to bring in Okpala/Ike shorunmu into the coaching staff. I don't know what Agu has been doing?

I was talking about our league, at least half the clubs have a foriegn player on their roster. The most common are from Benin but we also have Ghana, Togo, DR Congo, Ivory Coast and even Brasil. A few of them even play for their national teams.
I remember as a kid there was this white guy who wanted to play us (think he was from Bosnia or something). Don't know the link he had with Nigeria, but it was surprising...can't remember his name.
Anyways, I doubt we have foreigners in the league good enough to make squad.

Aluko is consistent. Going for his recent run at Fulham and his few games for the Super Eagles. I doubt we can tag such a player inconsistent. I think he is one of the most consistent Nigerians this season. Rarely gets bad reviews.
One season he's good, the next he's lukewarm, then he gets injured. That's been the problem with him.

Is Neymar the oldest person in the Selecao? But he is their captain, you don't even understand the bone of contention and you are here misyarning.

Rohr said he removed Musa because he is a bench warmer, Mikel used to be a bench warmer but he wasn't removed, so that's hypocritical of him. Had it been that he said that he removed him because he isn't the oldest player there then we will all understand, not that lame excuse. Ok so is Onazi older than Musa and Echejile? So why isn't Musa Echejile's assistant?
Fact is Musa was simply not captain's material to begin with. If the only reason he was chosen by Oliseh was because of consistency, well he hasn't been a regular this season. So why else should we have him as captain?

ChrisKels:
Is Aluko really that good? I have seen a couple of matches where he couldn't stand the pressure and was a kinda quagmire when he was expected to lift his team as was Alex in our last match. But that ain't denying the fact that he's cerebral and can conjure some improvised pieces of skills to riggle outta tight corners Sha.
Aluko is too inconsistent. Talented but lacks consistency to be really elite.

Precisely. The discussion was who is more needed in the Super Eagles, not Tottenham. Alli or Mikel. Clearly it is Mikel because he has the ability to make the team play better and he creates loads of chances for the forwards.
Agreed. Etebo can offer something similar to Alli in terms of getting into great scoring positions and energy, maybe his technique is not as polished as Alli.

Are you saying all Dele Alli is only good at is scoring?? Sure Mikel may be more creative, but Dele Alli also creates/attacks space superbly. If Mikel was in spurs, Pochettino would not play him as an AMF over Alli. Even Eriksen plays on the wing and and he's more creative than Alli.

But, Alli will not create as much chances as Mikel or will not link the midfield to the attack as much as Mikel would. Mikel is more of an asset and will make the team play better. That is the true essence of a creative attack midfielder.
True, but like you said, Tottenham already have Eriksen and to a certain extent Dembele for creativity. Not sure Pochettino would swap Alli goalscoring and superb off the ball movement for Mikel's creativity.

If Mikel plays that Alli's role one season at Tottenham, he will do mesmerizing things than what the young man is doing. The Gulf in class is too much.
He won't score nearly as much as Alli. Dele Alli has a shot accuracy of over 60 percent
Politics › Re: Igbo Would Have Been President If They Understood Nigerian Politics – Igbokwe by edi287: 8:05am On Mar 26, 2017
Well I mean it's not we've exactly had sterling governors(to be honest, Nigeria has never had great governors, at best it's been slightly above average ones) so I don't understand. The few capable ones are most likely not interested. Don't demand presidency when you suck at politicking and the options you're giving is Rochas, Orji Kalu, etc. It's nonsense. Igbos will never produce a Nigerian president with the way they play politics. Anyone who disagrees is being dishonest.

Politics › Re: What Is The Sin of Senator Dino Melaye? by edi287: 11:18am On Mar 22, 2017
ruggedized1:
It is no doubt that Sen. Dino is being witchhunted for standing up to the truth. Dino is one Senator that does not fear anybody, he does not care whose Ox is gored so far as he stands on the truth. He represent the TRUTH in the hallowed chamber.

This was a man who stood his ground against corruption in the lower chamber when he was in the House of representative. His stance against corruption in the lower house earned him an expulsion and torn cloth from the Lower House.

Today, the same thing is repeating itself again. Dino has not done anything wrong but for daring to question the corruption charges surrounding the EFCC boss. Now the entire propaganda UNIT of APC has been let to devour this rare outspoken senator. They have rolled out EFCC, DSS, ARMY and all the apparatchik of intimidation to cow this lion-hearted and outspoken senator.

They have unleashed Sahara Reporters on him with the connivance of the government officials who provides them with personal documents relating to Dino. Why on earth did they have to go to that length? What is DINO's sin?

If we are questioning the certificate or otherwise of the senator why have we not bothered that a president is in the office TODAY without an ordinary FIRST SCHOOL LEAVING CERTIFICATE not to talk of a school certificate.

Nigerians are hypocrites. If we can demonize DINO because of his academic qualifications why can't we extend such to the highest office in the land? Whether or not DINO has those certificates, the issue is that if DINO is going down let the one without an ordinary school certificate join him too.

My conclusion is that DINO represents the brightest and fearless in the senate. He can only be compared in oratory and power of speech to the first republic leaders who spoke eloquently unlike what we have today. It is only the likes of Zik, Awo, Bello, Belawa and few others can match or surpass the eloquence and oratory of SENATOR DINO MELAYE.

GOD BLESS the fearless.

"If we speak the truth we will die, if we lie will die, so I have chosen to speak the truth and die"- Senator Dina Melaya(2017)
Lmaoooooo did this guy just compare Dino Melaye's oratory skills to that of Zik, Awo and Balewahuh Melaye is NOWHERE close to being on their level. Melaye doesn't even match Sanusi.
Now regarding this certificate issue, the truth shall prevail.

Yes Der Fuhrer team deliberately released the 2005 tax returns that's not complete. The clowns shouting here don't have a clue how the tax systems work in America. Where was the capital Gains tax and the other deductibles?. People in his category would pay about 37% of their income in taxes to the IRS but he didn't. The bottom line is that the last three years of tax returns 2013 to 2016 should be released to know his allegiance to Russian oligarchs that were funding him when American banks stop their line of credits to him because of his numerous bankruptcies. That's the big deal right there not the tax returns of 11 years ago which was released covertly by his minions.
Another thing which I'm surprised people aren't talking about is how much of his taxes were AMT. Without AMT, he would've only paid $6.5m out of a 150m. Now we know why he wants to abolish it.

Ronaldo at 18 scored how many hatricks?
How many champions league goals did he score at 18?
Mbappe at 18 is gradually leading Monaco to win the league at the expense of favourites PSG.
What exactly makes Ronaldo so special at 18 that Mbappe have not shown X2?
Mbappe is talented, but come now - he's no where as good as R9 was at 18. R9 scored 30 league goals in his first season in europe. The eredivisie wasn't that weak back then.

Do you have any idea how much the unborn Americans owe as a result of the present generation's left-induced under-productivity?

Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Lounge - Donald Trump Is US President-Elect ! by edi287: 12:36pm On Mar 15, 2017
Oh please...we all know Trump deliberately leaked those tax returns. Besides, what is the big deal with this tax issue?? Like every other businessman, he utilizes tax avoidance greatly - that's what he has lawyers for. He has already said he doesn't pay taxes because the country doesn't utilize his tax dollars properly.
This "leak" changes nothing. It would be a big deal if it was his tax returns of say the last 2 - 3 years. Him paying 25 percent isn't also a big deal. It only means they weren't any loopholes for him to exploit to pay less...not because he's the most patriotic American or whatever.
