The same Iniesta who also said Gerrard was the toughest opponent he ever faced?? That's like saying because Mat Hummels said Giroud was the toughest opponent he faced, then that automatically makes Giroud world class. We've seen the great Pele praise Godwin Okpara...does that mean he's world class?

He was great, but not as good as Kante was. Kante was practical 2 players in one. It's no coincidence Leicester is flopping without him.

Not comparable, Leicester had 2 or 3 outstanding players in their team. Trophy winning Chelsea teams had a lot more. Every player was a star in his own right. In that kind of team, your work gets overlooked.
Would Leicester have won the league with Mikel instead of Kante??

Reports – Iheanacho Set For Summer Exit From Man City As He Doesn’t Fit Into Guardiola’s System

image
Manager of Manchester City Pep Guardiola will allow Kelechi leave Manchester City this summer according to reports coming out of the homeland of the manager.

Although Guardiola blocked him from leaving the club in January, a decision for him to leave in the summer has been reached, and according to some reports it has been communicated to the Nigeria international.

Guardiola didn’t list Iheanacho in his matchday squad for the club’s last four games, and it is reported that he has told the 20 year old that he is free to leave the club in the summer.

Iheanacho will be allowed to leave the Etihad in the summer, on an initial loan deal with the option of a permanent deal at the end of next season, as he failed to convince Guardiola during the injury enforced absence of star forward Sergio Kun Aguero.

Spanish online media Fichajes.com reports that Guardiola has decided to keep Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Kun Aguero at the end of the season, and the club is willing to listen to offers for Kelechi Iheanacho.

I knew Nacho was screwed as soon as city signed Gabriel Jesus. I also knew Pep was a liar when he said Jesus wouldn't play as a CF. He needs to leave.

Last season, Mikel was central to Chelsea's revival. It was not a coincidence that results improved after Mikel came back into the team. Mikel was one of Chelsea's key players in their Champions league run. Probably, MOTM in the final..

He was not flamboyant so his work gets overlooked.
True, but his performances were no where close to Kante. Kante had much more impact in Leicester than he did.

Mikel has never had a season as good as Kante did last season. This season he has been immense as well.

The question is what do you consider as playing at his peak. When it came to shielding the defence, they were very few that could compare to Mikel and he stayed at that level for a long time.

John Obi Mikel reborn as Chelsea's undisputed pass master

Who is the best passer in the Premier League? John Obi Mikel? Over the last three seasons Chelsea’s holding midfielder has a higher pass-completion ratio than any other player in the top flight (89.93 per cent — Paul Scholes is second with 89.88).

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/8130025/John-Obi-Mikel-reborn-as-Chelseas-undisputed-pass-master.html

That is over three seasons. The only thing is that people underrate Mikel's role in Chelsea's successful reign but he was a big factor in their success. Did that consistently for a long time. Made them tick and thick at the back. ENGINE.

If someone plays consistently at a top level, giving top performances, what other level should he reach?
Let's say from 07 - 13...would you put Mikel in the Top 10 CM/DM??

Iniesta is washed up these days. The Iniesta of 2017 is no longer the Iniesta of 2010.

Kroos, I don't know. He's lost his touch and regularly underwhelms these days.

Aguero would never be on my list, same reason Higuain would never be there. He's sh*t in Argentina, and this season he's been a shadow of himself in the Cityzen's colours.

Yeah, let's replace Ramos with Boateng. I wonder how I missed him.
Think Higuain is massively underrated due to the fact he choked at those finals.

Mikel will definitely go down as a legend and one of our best midfielders ever, but he certainly was never World Class. Talented yes, but I'm sorry, he never got to a world class level at his peak. I agree he was a bit underrated in England, but no way in the world was he world class. I don't think there was ever a time in his career he was a top 10 CM/DM in world football.

B list or C list, the salient truth is Ihenacho may not play for Man City again this season except there is a major injury crisis.
Anyone with half a brain knew G Jesus signing would affect him somehow. I knew Pep would eventually play him as a striker despite saying he'd play outwide. He plays as a 9 for brazil.

You can't read or reason.

As a player under the age of 21 who is listed as a 'home grown' player moving him to the 'B list' keeps him involved but allows another, older player to enter the squad (such as Yaya Toure) who may have been left from the squad list created at the start of the season.
Some people on here lack serious comprehension list. Him being on the B list isn't a big deal. Fools are making it look like he was "demoted" or something.

Every damn time, you blame Yoruba people for 95 percent of the problems you have..you don't blame the bleeped up governors you've had, you don't blame the lack of unity in igboland, heck the way these guys go on, you'd swear the civil war was only Yoruba vs Igbo.
Nothing is stopping you guys from challenging the North alone. You guys sound like fucking crybabies. Hold you Governors accountable first before you talk of North this, Yoruba that.

Mickael2:
Ibra obviously did not succeed under Pep. Lewandowski is skillful?! Maybe you need to watch his matches first.

I doubt if you have watched Douglas Costa, he has got the pace and nothing more, if you talk about skill-set he is limited, you don't see him pulling off a rainbow flick or a leg-over, Ribery is more skillful than he is. Coman was a bench piece so I do not understand how he fits into your description.

Did they tell you that Pep was asking for Neymar? Because the battle for Neymar was squarely between Madrid and Barcelona, Bayern wasn't even present in the discussions. Do you think that it is a coincidence that Neymar came to Barca immediately he left? Like the GoodJoe said which is perfectly precise, when Guardiola came to the B team, he told them all to stop dribbling except Messi. Oh and Messi's finishing skills were absurd, that's what he found out in training
The fact you don't think Lewandowski isn't skillful says it all. I won't even get to that in detail. There's a reason he keeps on getting compared to Van Basten.
Douglas Costa is skillful...I don't know what you're trying to imply. If he's not skillful, then Robinho is also not skillful and Ribery isn't as well.
Pep did want Neymar. http://www.espnfc.us/barcelona/story/1495721/rummenigge-pep-wanted-neymar

Yeah Nacho is the next Messi...we already know. Why is Pep playing Sterling and De bruyne as false 9s if Nacho fits his Philosophy as well as you say??

Mickael2:
so if Nacho has the better finishing abilities and the better decision making how does Gabby fit into pep's philosophy more? I know Pedro, Villa even Xavi, Muller and the whole lot of them only had these two attributes to perfection and they fitted right in. How many skilful players have you seen under pep? Apart from Messi, none of his centre forwards have been that skilful. Even his centre forward for barca B wasn't skilful, Lewandowski and all of them, the experts we have in here are just... wow
Because I said Nacho is a better finisher means Jesus isn't a good finisher?? When Pep first played Messi as a false 9, was he a better finisher than Eto?? You're asking me how many skillful players we've seen under pep?? Ibra wasn't skillful? Lewandowski isn't skillful? Why did he sell Eto and buy Ibra? Why didn't he stick with Mandzukic since he doesn't like skillful players?? Why did Pep ask for Neymar when he first came to bayern?? Douglas Costa and Coman are not skillful??

Which one be "if" again? grin

He is already being used.... No "ifs" naa... And so far the "magical allround" Jesus has banged in 10 goals in 2 games for City.... grin

Nacho should really be scared.... Looollll

Abeg has he scored the kinda goals Nacho scored for the national team?? What's his goals ratio like even at Palmeiras?? Gabby Jesus is certainly not the better player mister.... The only work cut for Nacho is "super-convincing" or even "charming" Pep to look his way as Pep has never looked the way of an african player playing for an african team.

Just look at how y'all making Jesus the magician... Yeah with 10goals in two games for City... grin how magically well-rounded he is... grin

Say what you want too but Jesus is overhyped for now...
Say you've not watched him extensively...Anyone who has watched both wouldn't even argue this. Iheanacho is a better finisher and maybe has a better final ball. Jesus beats him in every other aspect and fits more into Pep philosophy.

What's this?? The Gabby Jesus buzz has blinded you too?? Abeg if na by skills and footwork ehn.... Even Nathan Oduwa get am like Gabby Jesus...

Question is how many goals Oduwa and Jesus get?? Abi na footwork pesin go chop? Na footwork and pace go put points for table for Man City?? No be goals dey take pesin up table?? Na footwork and skills??

Ronaldo de lima was a bundle of mesmerising skills and footwork and even blistering pace but was known as a goals-monger also... Gabby Jesus is over-hyped because of Footwork and pace... Have you watched Nathan Oduwa videos? I am sure you have.... If that dude was brazillian we no go hear word also... So abeg... These Gabby Jesus talks should just die down until he starts banging goals aplomb for City... Period.
Gabriel Jesus has been superb ever since he got switched to a CF. The guy has been impressive in the South American World cup qualifiers. If Pep is going to use him as a CF, then Nacho has his work cut out for him, no question. Say what you want, he is a better player allround.

Trump is appointing like minded guys into core areas , just as Obama did and most heads of government do.
Sessions, Priebus, Gen Mattis, just name them. It's his government, so let him as he deems necessary to deliver on the mandate given to him. If he fails, no one would spare him, so.. .......its on him.
True, but fact is he is being hypocritical. Conservatives one moment will demonize the "Hollywood elites" is being out of the touch with the common man, the next moment they are praising people like Besty Vos and Tillerson and saying "being rich is not a crime, greed is". As a nigerian, I could care less about either party, but these conservatives are making me hate them more and more everyday.

Babe we don't need to remind ourselves of American history, do we? We all know the native Americans are/were red Indians.
When Trump used the phrase "getting our country back" during the campaigns, we know it was a euphemism to describe the eroding American values, pro -Wall Street politicians who had taken over and increasing breakdown of law and order.
Yet he is appointing the same pro wall street guys?? Trump is just being used like a puppet by Bannon. I don't have a problem with wall or infrastructure plan, but appointing people like Sessions who are clearly anti immigration is just stupid.
