andrew44444: Mertens is a better goal scorer than hazard
Hazard that has never scored 20 epl goals Exactly. And it was all thanks to Sarri. Dude turned a 20 plus goal scorer under Sarri. |

forgiveness: How many times did Torres score 20 league goals a season in his entire career?
How did 32 years old Torres scored 11 goals in the la Liga?
Definitely not washed up.
Like I said, Torres struggled at Chelsea. Even Morata who is doing well at AM struggled at Chelsea. Gabriel will definitely struggle.
Sarri had nothing to do with Hazard's performance because we have seen him scored 14 goals and 10 assists, 14 goals and 9 assists, and 9 goals with 14 Chelsea almost every season.vSarri added nothing to his goals and assists.
The margin is never by miles. How many times did he play more than 30 league games for liverpool? Once and he scored 20 plus goals. The other times he's goal scoring ratio has been very good till the last half of the season for Liverpool where it was obvious dude was washed. Hazard went 15 goals and 15 assists for the first time in his Chelsea career and that was Sarri. He would've scored more if played as a false 9. Gabriel would definitely do better than Tammy is showing at the moment. |

forgiveness: Torres scored 22 goals at Chelsea. Never washed. If he went to AM straight from Liverpool, he would had contended for la Liga's top goal scorer.
The fact he could score 11 goals in la Liga at that old age showed he was not washed as at the time he joined Chelsea.
Harzad don dey score goals for Chelsea even before Sarri dreamt of joining. His goals had nothing to do with Sarri.
Why didn't Sarri turn him to a CF?
Gabriel will not succeed in Chelsea as a Striker. Forget matter. 22 goals by Stat padding in the europa league. He only scored 8 in 36 league games(you also forgot to mention it was 22 in 60 plus games which is poor). Hazard did not want to play as a CF. Fact is Hazard 15 goals and 15 assists was the best he has had throughout his time at Chelsea. Torres was washed. I can't believe you want to argue this. Dude did not come anywhere close to replicating his liverpool form ever again. |

forgiveness: How come he scored double digit goals in Spain after he left Chelsea if he was washed up? Is Mertens better than Hazard? Why didn't he turn him to washed up?
We saw what happened after Costa left. Gabriel will struggle.
Hahahaha! Now it was for two seasons. okay Wait...12 in 44 is world class to you? Torres never scored 20 league goals after liverpool. He was washed!! If Ighalo had those numbers - I doubt anyone would want him playing for us. Mertens turned into a legit goal scoring threat...why wouldn't Jesus? Hazard got his best numbers for you guys under Sarri. Were Torres numbers at Atleti as good as that at Liverpool? Yes or No |

forgiveness: Morata was bought after his exploits as a Striker at Real Madrid.
Falcao returned from long injury but that doesn't tantamount to washed up. You can say he was out of form.
If Torres went to AM straight from Liverpool, he would had competed for the la Liga's top goal scorer. Someone who still scored double digit goals in Spain after he left Chelsea.
Torres scored 22 goals in all competitions the previous season before he was bought. How can we call that washed up?
Under Conte? Gabriel will look average under him because he can never bench Costa or play like him.
Sarri? Hehehehehehe! I don't think so. Torres scored 9 in 22 before he moved to Chelsea in Jan. He had sustained that injury and further aggravated it at the WC. He was never the same when he came(barring the brace he scored against Chelsea). Ask any Liverpool fan they'll tell you the same thing. Why wouldn't he cope under Sarri? Are you aware Mertens turned into a goal machine under him? He'd cope under Conte as a back up to Costa. Falcao was washed for two seasons straight. He was no where close to his peak at Chelsea |

forgiveness: No! Morata was Chelsea main target man then. Falcao washed up?
He went to Ligue 1 afterwards and helped Monaco to win the league and reached the Semi finals of UEFA Champions League.
Is Huguian washed up?
Torres still went to La Liga and shined. He was not washed up.
Jesus will struggle at Chelsea. He is not better than all those players that struggled. Morata mostly played as an SS at Juve when he was with Conte. Didn't really convince as a CF at Madrid (he scored 20 goals yes but still) Falcao was washed. He had just come back from that injury and was well short of confidence after his spell at Manure. Only God knows how he regained a bit of form at Monaco Higuain is washed. Dude was flopping at Milan before Sarri foolishly asked for him. Milan were more than happy to let him go and easily replaced him with Piatek. Torres?? Lol seriously?? Everyone knows Torres was finished before he signed for you guys. Liverpool played a sharp one on you. Jesus would do well in Conte and Sarri's sides (maybe even Ancelotti). Not with Mou for obvious reasons. |

forgiveness: Is Jesus better than Torres, Moratta, Lukaku, Falcoa and Higuian that all struggled at Chelsea?
I don't think so. Gabriel is no target man. He can't play in Chelsea.
Batshuayi is part of the team. He will definitely play. Minus Lukaku(young) and Morata(more of a SS THEN), The other guys you mentioned were already washed up due to injuries or something else. Anyway it depends on the season sha. If we're talking when Cesc was in super form with Hazard - then G Jesus would do ok. Jesus off the ball movement is miles better than that of Tammy imo |

Taliban: I am in no way comparing their abilities to those great men. Their age is what is being talked about. We shouldn't disqualify them based on age alone. Keepers have more longevity than outfield players. What should disqualify them should be their abilities when benchmarked against the current younger keepers we have. Agreed. Goal Keepers tend to have longer careers than outfield players. Unless it's the usual football age vs real age talk, I don't see why we should rule them out based on age. Our goal keeping options are dire compared to say 3 -4 years ago. We went from having Carl Ikeme and Enyeama as options to what we have now. Bringing Ejide back would've been a terrible option back in 2016 - 17...but now? I don't know. |

komekn: The hard brutal facts are that you can call him anything you like DLP, AM, FAM( fast attacking midfielder) etc. Etc
You can get away from the fact is that he has been overwhelmingly WOEFUL. You may wish to hold in to youthful past glories but thats all history and completely irrelevant to professional first team football.
As it stands now he would struggle to get into and make a stand playing English non league football.
Until he starts to look perform he should not even be mentioned here. Otherwise we would also be justified in mentioning all the Nigerian origin players in non league and youth teams across Europe and or other obscure leagues. I agree but truth of the matter is we're lacking a player of his profile in our team hence why people are hoping he gets on track. If we can find a DLP - trust me folks will forget him easily. Osimhen was seen in the same light and after a few setbacks, he's back on the right path and on his way to stack claim as our first choice CF(still has serious competition I know). But like I've said before - we can negate the need for a DLP with a good ball playing CB. |

Why are people surprised about this Siasia thing?? We all know he had his "boys" but folks didn't mind because he played great football and mostly did well. This brings me back to Rohr...at the end of the day, results is all that matters. If Rohr wins the next AFCON while taking players like Okoye - I don't think many people will complain. It was the same with Keshi till he started flopping and NFF pounced leading him to cave in. |

if say na indigenous coach dey in charge dem for use magomago put am for super eagles but as long as rohr is in charge he has to work hard to prove that he is up to scratch with what we have currently in the super eagles Nwakali's saving grace is he's a DLP which we sorely need in the team. Maduka should be with the U23s. I guess since the U23s aren't meeting up anytime soon - playing with SE isn't a bad idea. Truth is we're severely lacking in the GK department. I'm perfectly fine with trying every goal keeper we have in any division provided we sort this thing out. I wonder if Pinnick has reached out to the likes of Okonkwo and the kid at City? Anyways, I still think Agu should be sacked. The guy has been doing nothing. When is Ikeme joining the coaching staff abeg? |

komekn: Sorry to say to you that's just media Rubbish.
The coaches ganged up against Pogba and pushed forward Cleverly to the detriment of Pogba. Pogba can never be like Scholes everybody knew Pogba flamboyant style and outspoken.
In reality Fergie didn't like him personally. Hmmm maybe but let's remember Ravel Morrison who was better than Pogba at the youth level didn't get games with the first team either. Fergie might have overrated Cleverly but I wouldn't go as far as saying it was all bias/racism. Look what some people in the know had to say about it: The Main Reason Why Sir Alex Ferguson Did Not Trust Paul Pogba Adnan Riaz in FOOTBALL José Mourinho smashed Manchester United's club-record transfer in 2016 to bring Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford. While there have been moments where the 25-year-old United ace has been criticised for his performances, his current form under caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær will be enough proof for some fans that he is one of the best midfielders in the world. Even when he was at the United youth academy, there were many that saw the potential of Pogba. However, Sir Alex Ferguson allowed him to leave the club for Juventus in 2012 after he turned down a contract. Okay, some fans would be quick to lambast the legendary United manager for letting him leave and then the Red Devils paying as much money as they did to re-sign him, but it seems like he had his reservations about the World Cup-winning Frenchman. According to the i newspaper, United 'insiders' revealed that the 77-year-old Scotsman believed that Pogba wasn't mature enough.Interestingly, the claims are backed up from a number of different viewpoints. Former United player Darren Fletcher echoed similar sentiments about the former Juventus star when he spent some time coaching the Red Devils reserves. "I did a spell coaching with the [Manchester United] reserve team, which included Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Ravel Morrison -- a lot of talented players," he told Sky Sports' Monday Night Football in 2018. "We played [Pogba] a lot higher up the pitch in attacking areas and we felt like he was the one that could go and win us games really. "A combination of the fact that we felt he had a little bit of ill-discipline in the middle of the park as more of a central midfielder." In fact, historian Tony Park made an observation that suggested Pogba was fairly inconsistent for the youth team. "Pogba would have one great game, one average game and one anonymous game," he explained. "It was why Fergie didn't trust him. When he arrived there were 10 to 15 new players around the scene at the time, all with bigger reputations. "Ravel Morrison was by far the standout and coaches were giving him lots of attention. Pogba's ability was not in doubt, it was his inconsistency, that's been an issue all his career." Well, the rest is now history. Pogba once again rewarded Solskjær's faith in him against Fulham, opening the scoring with a brilliant strike in the first half. He followed up his performance in the second half after he scored from the spot kick and United secured a 3-0 win at Craven Cottage. Where will United finish in the Premier League this season? Let us know in the comments. |

komekn: There is a lot more to it than you think.
There was the small issue of Tom Cleverly not anywhere as good as Pogba but described by Ferguson as the best young Midfielder in Europe. His Dad was a coach at United ( undue favoritism) senior players ( Ferdinand) almost revolted why Pogba was not given opportunity. The issue of race was raised.
Pogba left in anger and revolt at the disgusting treatment he had received. He may not want to say that in public.
Funny Cleverly and Hope Akpan shared the same agent at the time. Fergie said he wanted Pogba to watch Scholes and learn from him. I think he would've gotten chances the next season. Pogba was smart and brave enough not to wait |
