Yeah you are right about the Americans. ...they did show alot about nigeria though...for instance. ...the artifact at the british museum is from the benin tribe in nigeria.
They also used sambisa forest which is in the north region of nigeria...and the guys from the other tribe that fought with tchaka in the begin was called MBAKU which is also a nigerian movie....
It is true african should stop getting interested in their culture. They have a way of influencinfastructural you with their music,movie and fashion...that why nigeria entertainment industry is trying to soar with them...

To be honest nothing...although I must have heard about ethopia a few times in the US and I use to think it was an European countries. .....maybe because a guy told me ethopians are white and etremely beautiful people....but I have been addicted to CNN land BBC ately and I don't miss programs like INSIDE AFRICA,FOCUS ON AFRICA. ....in fact it was from focus on africa I heard about kenya terrorist attacks

You are so right......Nigeria has a big news media called arise news....it has it studio in lagos, new York , London and johannesburg. . ..they should use it to potray more african stuff....for instance I got to know many african countries by name when I watched black panther. ....
I wanted to know which country produced these various culture. .and viola I found my self addicted to anything africa because of how the media potrays this giant continent in one movie

Sad indeed? Well I think, we the youths of the both countries are not really working. We need to come together like we did to other African countries. Because I see Ethiopia as a great country, a progress country. Nigeria really need to work with Ethiopia. Our government needs to do something about this?

It maybe because nigeria know less about other africans.....here in Nigeria our schools would never mention anything africa to you except you are studying map in geography classes and most time they stick to west africa map......it was around when I was writing my WAEC exam I knew about ghana and the rest african countries you would literally see the questions set for various west african countries. ..and we would complain saying WAEC has the habit of favouring other west african countries with simpler questions over us

I have not seen that sort of collaborative effort between kenyan cultures in music. Maybe it exists I really dont know. But we have a lot of that OG and Genge (genge means gang in Swahili) and all manner of other genres. Our culture is all over media. Mostly regions promote their local cultures via their local vernacular stations. Every tribe in Kenya has a Radio/Tv station that broadcasts in its language, some even have 4 or 5 or even more depending on community size. When it comes to culture we dont have so much of a Kenyan culture per se, though of course we come up with something commendable when need arises esp to fool the world. In that case we often use the tribes that have strongly retained their culture. Some like my own Kikuyu virtually lost our culture, barring a few details. Most of my community's songs except the gospels and a few others are usually very vulgar club bangers that cannot be used nationally otherwise it would cause an uproar. I should take you to one of them weekend Mugithis Ednited. They're called mugithi nights You would think you are officially in hell. 2 beers in the air all over and you cant even see the ladies coz they all bentover

Rophnan was in Kenya last year and performed in one of the local shows. Had no idea it took him that long to perfect. I'm a big fan of instrumentals . Got countless playlists of pure instrumentals/electro for when I dont wanna hear evil human voices I love beats more than anything else.

Not bad. But you'd need a Kalashnikov to make Kenyans love this. Would never be a club banger! Maybe for special events esp cultural. We are more attuned to East African beats. The sound of the song takes me to 3000 BC in Arabia
