JaceBlaze:Never ![]() I actually have a Facebook close friend from S.A. . . we have known eachother for like 5 years now ![]() If i hadn't met him, I could've never planned to visit S.A. I have some really bad memories about your country. You and Xhosa have changed it some how but. . . |
samorobo:I am telling you. That company is playing. They chose a very historical and cultural site . . . why? They have no website. . .why? They are almost begging us to construct it. . . .why beg? There must be something. . . The new James Bruce is right here. Do you know James Bruce? If we had known Africa well, we couldn't have been played. The modern education we are receiving is from our self. Civilization was not new to Africa. They came to Ethiopia to teach us civilization. . . hehe We became Christians before them, existed before them and civilized before them. It is like a kid teaching her mother maternity. How do we know how much was stolen from Nigeria too? Us without knowing it? Sometimes I fear when they like the way we are, I feel like we have made their plan work when we do that. They will really like you when you throw your culture and change your color. Always be suspicious |
jaycent:Not only Nigerians. Anyone stands and say stuffs about us. It's normal to me now. And I know Ethiopians sometimes misbehave too. I don't cover it up for them but instead try to stop them. @bolded, I use to shout for African unity. It only created echo ![]() |
samorobo:we really need a media. Because of that shortage, we know about someone with rumours. We need to see exact figure from a trusted common media. You see now, Ethiopians are original black people. Probably, that statement @bolded came out from a white guy. He mislead you and that is their job ![]() We here debating on best TV studios! We have missed the point. |
JaceBlaze:You see now? If we kept fighting. . . we wouldn't turn out to learn from eachother. I admitted my statement was incorrect and you agreed to let go. That is how Africans should treat eachother I have never seen any one getting smaller when they say sorry or forgiven someone. ![]() |
samorobo:That black panther movie ![]() I have a lot to say now. . . Kenyans say wakanda is Kenya. Ugandans say it's Uganda. Nigerians say it's Nigeria. Ethiopians say it is Ethiopia Just to let you know, ~ The plate on the lip thing was taken from Ethiopia (mursi tribe) ~ The true cross the old lady had on her neck is from Ethiopia ~ The medicine that Tchala took (purple thing) from Ethiopian culture ~ The river seen is blue Nile in Ethiopia ~ Ethiopia is the only one who fought and become independent etc. . . .wakanda could be Niger or Ghana or Zimbabwe. . . But these people are planning for something. . . I tell you. Have you seen how excited we were having America make movie about us? Would they give a bleep if we have made movie about them? NO We don't have to feel any excited. In fact, American guy came last time and said his company will be constructing a high tech city in Ethiopia because he believed the real wakanda is Ethiopia. How stupid do we look? Maybe the wakanda is Ethiopia or not. . . but they really have plans. His company chose Ethiopia. . . and it is in Bahirdar city near the source of Nile. Nile is Ghion in the Bible. These people are playing I call for every Ethiopian to stop this man I swear. No one dares to spoil the culture over there. We don't need his stupid high tech cityMY POINT- They are showing their admiration to win our heart. Don't beleive them |
jaycent:I know how ![]() |
samorobo:You didn't know that? Then what do you know about us? ![]() |
jaycent:Yes, we the youths. We are being driven with our emotion rather than our brain We have to tolerate eachother. I have been offended a million times by Nigerians. Even when our achievement is told, some bring up the famine issue and tell me to feed ourselves first. If i went mad and keep punching all Nigerians and other Africans with my words, we all end up bad. Even when somebody tries to offend you, keep silence. We have nations (in Africa) who are very ready to hear about your failure than your accomplishments. They take out the bad from the good. That is why we will never grow |
samorobo:Problem at both side. . . . We have actually learned African history and all but no one minds that Media is the key. Africa needs influential common media. Our eyes are on USA or Europe all the time. We need to shift that to us and learn from eachother. Until then . . . . . |
jaycent:We're they here @ 2016 and 2017 ![]() Or are you refereeing to any South African? |
samorobo:No, no I won't be offended. . . ![]() What's more sad is the people to people relation is not even working that much. I blame it on us when it comes to that tho How Nigerians are viewed here has to be corrected to get it right |
jaycent:By the way, I have always wondered why Ethio - Nigeria relation is this far. We don't also have a historical relationship. Ethio-Kenya relation dates back to the time of our last Empeor. We have had good relation with Rwanda for helping them out on genocide too. There is a big gap between us but it also looks like our government isn't ready to upgrade it still. The two highly populated African countries. . . . . sad |
samorobo:Whether I like it or not, I watch news sometimes because of my dad. Uhuru Kenyatta comes here several times. Some times for a visit too. Even before our new PM came, we had a tight relation. I have never seen a special or even that good relation between Ethiopia and South Africa in Jacob Zuma time. When I say 'not that good', I only mean our relation isn't that strong. That is all I don't remember Good luck Johnathan having that strong relation here also. Even Buhari visited Kenya few days after he came to power. No one here even knows a man named Buhari exist here except politicians. Even, how many Ethiopian organizations work with Nigeria? Only our airline works in Nigeria. What else? |
jaycent:Actually, it was Runalong who tagged them into this thread. And it was all because of me. XhosaNostra and Jaceblaze were very ready to hit me with an axe that moment ![]() |
jaycent:Not actually, our government and yours don't work close. Have Buhari even came to visit having no Africa union summit here? ![]() And plus, our people ain't that close ![]() Nigeria - Kenya GOOD Nigeria - South Africa GOOD Ethiopia - Kenya GOOD Ethiopia - South Africa NOT THAT GOOD Ethiopia - Nigeria NOT THAT GOOD I am talking about relation of our government. Maybe it is Ethiopia's problem ![]() |
adamskutty:No, am just reminding you my other side ![]() |
jaycent:Not right now, let them jump as they want ![]() |
jaycent:Same old. ![]() |
jaycent:How are you doing tho? What's new? |
NairobiWalker: ![]() |
jaycent: Funny people |
jaycent:Last year ![]() Was it a stop over or what? |
TayserMahri:I have a friend who was ordered by her dad to leave Kenya because of that. He was freightned that she would end up as a party girl who won't be educated properly. For real She has been telling me that ET and KE are different world. |
TayserMahri:He is very humble. He was in our university for a speech to explain 'music and architecture'. I was trying to take selfies with him, then he was like. . . 'how are you doing?' I never thought he was saying hi to me lol. He even help me out taking the selfie because he is really long Anyways, he is so simple and cool. You can talk to him anytime. He almost took all the awards in Ethiopia by the way. He also have fans worldwide. It is sad that you are not using culture in your music. You guys better have a character that says it is Kenyan. You guys speak the language other East Africans use, so better come up with something that says Kenyan. ![]() You guys party a lot. I know that ![]() |
TayserMahri:He went to countryside and studied how the traditional Ethiopian instruments behave. He skipped from different schools because he beleived he was not learning enough. He is a very humble man, I've met him in person once actually Do you guys have artists who work hard to collaborate Kenyan culture with modern one? Looks like most of them do the original gangster. . . How much is your culture introduced in your media and how much do you guys promote it to the rest of the society? |
TayserMahri:To be honest, I also don't like what endegna did on the clip, not even the song too. I just did that thinking that is the beat you want to hear. Rophnhan took him that long beacuse he was studying on how to collaborate Ethiopian genre with Electronic music. Ethiopian genre is complex more than you think. After his study, I think it will be easy for him now . . . You can check out his performance on Coke Studio, what he made in a short time He was the producer, DJ and singer at the same time. |
TayserMahri:Check out your mentions again, cuz I have provided you and your friends different songs. I don't have videos of the clubs in Addis, but I do know the type of songs my people dance too Southern Ethiopian songs will make you shake it anytime anywhere ![]() The for and second song is of Southern Ethiopia flavour Do you know rophnhan? He is an artist who studied Ethiopian genre and it took him 7 years to make his new album. The last three are his works and they have flavour of Gamo, Gurage and Oromo tribe respectively ![]() Hear until the end. enjoy ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh4u9r_8BJY&itct=CBUQpDAYAyITCM7019Hz_OACFRNt4AodilQLuVIHU2FtaSBnbw%3D%3D&client=mv-google&gl=US&hl=en https://m.youtube.com/results?gl=US&hl=en&client=mv-google&q=Gamo+dare&submit=Search https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgWTrFD0TUk&itct=CBgQpDAYASITCI31uPv1_OACFRs14Aodd_4F1VIUZ2V0IHRvIHdvcmsgcm9waG5oYW4%3D&hl=en&gl=US&client=mv-google https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QI91rkNojL4&itct=CBAQpDAYASITCMXI_4z2_OACFceR3godjTACezIHcmVsYXRlZEjJmtGHxfXkgg4%3D&client=mv-google&gl=US&hl=en |
TayserMahri:Yea, it sounds Arabic. I mean they sound like us. ![]() I knew you wouldn't like it and I understand you because our genre is very different. I was just introducing the unspoiled Amhara culture. As you can see, very natural @Kalashnikov, ![]() |
SuperIgbo1:If you come to Addis, half of them are light skinned tho |
