I may sound crazy. But I have read many historical books. Egypt is the worst enemy of Ethiopia. No one needs war but it may be our last choice. Their haterd is increasing everytime and they keep asking for meetings not for change but influence. If Egypt and Ethiopia united long ago. Africa could have been more powerful. Even if we become kind, they have a beef because of religion difference too. Which is not so good. People don't have to be same nations to unite, they turned it to competition then they planned many bad moves on us. They just want to have the biggest power in Africa. . . .they forgot what has to happen happens with God will. But this is not the way to gain power

The entire sabre-rattling by the Egyptian President is for domestic consumption.

Ethiopia can fully defend itself. On paper, the Egyptian military is more "scarier" than even Israel's but its capabilities are very weak and is mainly concentrated in the northern part of the country (where they still dream of avenging their humiliating defeats).

Almost all of their F-16s are downgraded models assembled in Turkey and all fully compromised so that none are threat to Israel. In addition to that, according to various US reports, their pilots fly 50 hours per year. With such quality pilots, they are not even ready to defend their territory let alone undertake a long range offensive mission. As for the new jets they are buying, Rafale and MIG-29M, it will be years before they 'master' them. Event then, both are short legged and the suppliers are not known to share technical expertise, particularly the Russians.

So, imagine such pilots and their air support assets (AWACS) crossing another country without permission, flying over a more challenging geography (not a desert flying) and returning back to Egypt. It is simply IMPOSSIBLE. The only risk is if Sudan allows Egypt to use its airbases to attack the dam which is not happening since Sudan is a huge beneficiary of the dam.

As for ours, we have built a small but very effective force. Yes, we have fewer pilots but then again, we can afford to provide them more flying hours to be ready. Yes, we have much fewer planes but then again, we have FULL OVERHAUL capability to maintain all our air assets. Ethiopia was the second country to have such capability for the Su-27 after China outside Russia and the former CIS. As for our air defense, we have taken a smarter approach to upgrade our existing assets- such as replacing primary surveillance radars with 36D6 (same as the S-300PMU), upgraded fire control systems, command and control systems, increase mobility while acquiring newer systems for low altitude defense.

The only part I have problem with is your conclusion that Ethiopia will defeat Egypt. You can only know how war will start but you can't tell how it will end.

How sure are you what the Ethiopian military have?
What if the ET govt is making drama? Because our govt have asked Egypt what they want and that they will start the war if needed. . . .No one will say such a statement not making sure on what they have.

And secondly, it's not always about the jet and stuffs. You must have the experience and techniques on how to use it. Every war didn't turn out expected. . .Ethiopia have that. Do you know that the American govt asked the ET govt on how we manage our military? And our govt refused to answer cuz we have our systems. Even av heard that we train foreign militaries.

in case of war it would be only air strikes and ethiopian army should modernize its air defense systems because if egypt send a formation of Rafale with awacs support , they will strike the renaissance Dam easly with the Storm Shadow-SCALP EG (300 km range for the egyptian export version ) , old ethiopian S 125 missile can do nothing .

Last last year, I visited Ethiopian air force and it surprised me that they showed me a jet ready for Egypt. (Incase war starts). I felt like I heard him wrong, but yeah.

Been watching the Ethiopian news and it surprised me how bad things could happen to you with your silence. Most of you might not know TEFF but probably, you know INJERA.

INJERA (famous Ethiopian food) is made with TEFF.

Ethiopians have been using TEFF grains for century, I could say. Even every Ethiopian have INJERA in their home. But years ago, a NETHERLAND company have already owned the patent of ownership of TEFF without Ethiopians knowing. They have the right to sell TEFF to European countries but not Ethiopia. Imagine!!!!


TEFF has been growing here for many years but many European countries are trying to take the ownership when they know how useful it is. China also asked ownership.

BUT IT IS CLEAR IN MANY WAYS THAT TEFF ORIGINATED IN ET.

Most of you don't know coffee originated in Ethiopia too. If we were active and serious on this, Ethiopia could have been the biggest coffee exporter in the world.





And in my opinion, every European country (all white people) knows that Ethiopia owns TEFF but not NETHERLANDS. They keep on stealing African property and throw their waste on us. Ethiopia can't export her TEFF to Europe now, because they have formed unity to let us down. And Africa have to unite for this. . .not only for TEFF but for any African heritage that we are going to loose in the future. Trust me I am right, because they will never get enough taking what we own.
