Celebrities › Joel, Great Grand Son Of Emperor Haileselassiei Married In USA (photos) by ednited(op): 6:27am On Oct 22, 2017 |
I am not a fan of the Emperor but that's really sad watch the Prince getting married out of his own country. We always see our nations (Africans) getting married out of Africa, especially in the states. But a Prince!!! I am sorry but this sound crazy to me. . .
You can have your say
I wish him the best tho |
Christianity Etc › How Ethiopian Orthodox Religion Shaped Ethiopia by ednited(op): 5:53am On Oct 22, 2017 |
Ethiopian Orthodox Religion existed for a long time, practiced from the 4th Century AD. But this Orthodox Religion is a bit different from other Orthodox Religion.
The bible- written in Geez and Amharic only
The church - has its own Architecture
The way of worship and celebration of holidays is very different too
We are unique from many African countries because of the contribution of the religion too. . .
This religion has done so many favour to the country.
Amharic language to spread in Ethiopia, thought us amazing Architecture. . .and also shaped how Ethiopians behave. When ladies enter the church, hair must be covered and wore long dresses too. You don't see Ethiopians showing their bellies in Addis too. This religion has thought many Ethiopians on how to act too. It have thought us on how to move our way because this religion is spread and introduced by Ethiopians them selves. From birth to death, this religion shapes everyone.
Ethiopian calendar itself is counted because of this religion.
Even this religion brought Ethiopia's musical notation we still use today. We Ethiopians are rigid in many things. . .but this behavior helped us to stay still on the religion and practice it as in the 4th Century.
This religion is not just practiced in the Church, wherever you go in Ethiopia, it shapes you.
HAVE A GOOD SUNDAY

Culture › Re: Why are EAST africans so delusional?-Question from a AA by ednited(f): 5:57pm On Oct 14, 2017 |
kony1: Im a black american and i dont know the social structure in africa. But why do east africans feel their superior to west africans. As an american i see east africa as extremely third world void, where west africa picks up their slack. Furthermore west africans produced/created black americans- the biggest black force on the planet. Im a black american but i know my roots are west african so why do east africans(somalis in paticular) feel superior
One dude(a somali) even created a thread to belittle west africans Oh my God! Are we talking about this over again! I am from Ethiopia, many think we are racist and they think we believe we are superior. But we aren't and we don't think that way. If I have to correct you, East Africans have made a big change in Africa. Ethiopians have opened the door for every black person on earth for independence. I hope you know that. . .I recommend you to read. PEACE |

wristbangle: Yeah it is. Buhari met a terrible economy but he couldn't do much to arrest the situation on time but things are picking up slowly. A lot needs to be done. Been watching CGTN Africa live few hours before and their report says Nigerian currency is now doing better after slide. That's nice |
