Some people ask me when I tell 'em am hearing Ethiopian song. 'Do you guys sing?' is what many people ask me. It's sad cuz we have many great singers but few are known in the continent. Tho, it does not mean we don't have good songs. . . .
So I created this topic to post Ethiopian music clips and audio. Information of many Ethiopian artists
At first, our song may sound weird cuz we use our own language and musical instruments to make our songs
Enjoy! |

Hati13: When you say mixing, is it mixing between the ppl in those 2 countries or just forming a single political entity?
If it's the former, then Djibouti is majority populated by Somalians and Afars and those 2 ppl are also found in ET and some of them had mixed with Christian ETns.
If it's the last, then it's inevitable that Djibouti will be absorbed to Ethiopia for mutual economic benefit (sea port ownership for us and agriculture for them). Djibouti is our friend, so no need for Eritrea.
If it wasn't for the Oromo ppl invasion of ET, either Christianity or Islam would had erased one of the other. The Christian ET state of then didn't erased identity and only wanted tributary form the Muslims sultanates, but the Muslims lead by Ahmed Gragn tried to erase the identity of the Christian Ethiopians. Atse Zara Yaqob or Atse Lebne Dengel didn't destroyed Harari, but Muslims almost completely destroyed:- - Shewa - Fatagar (Arsi) - Amhara (south Wollo) - Angot (Raya) - Lasta - Wag - Tigray - Gojjam - Begemider (Gondar) - Dembiya (Gondar) - Damot (Welega) - and few other of the then ET provinces...... Mixing of the countries |

Hati13: Here in Ethiopia, Muslims being laid by Ahmed Gragn of Adal sultanate in the 16th century AD had tried to erase the great Christian civilization of Ethiopia. Those Muslims, - slaughtered hundreds of thousands Christians, - converted many to Islam - destroyed many invaluable beautiful churches, monasteries and Christian texts that would undoubtedly have added to the current 10 UNESCO heritage sites in Ethiopia (the largest number in Africa)
The pain those Muslims inflicted here can still be felt now.
So, coming to my question, did Islam tried or succeed in destroying your country civilization/s? Difficult question. . .I think one of the reasons why ET is not mixing with Djbouti is because Djbouti is a muslim state. What do you think? |

This is very sad forgivness Kindness Apology Patience etc. . .is all what people tell others to have. But when you have these, people think you are fool. That's right! A FOOL! You make mistake and say sorry, they think you are cheap! They think you need them. You become kind, they think you are fool. You become patient, they think you have no idea about any thing. They take advantage of you, until you loose your patience. You don't need to yell or scream to let them know you know you are doing things consious. Why is it very hard for people to be thankful for this rather than thinking the other way. Why do some people win over love? Why do people be like this. It sucks!!!!! It really does!! |

Business › Re: 6 Helpful Tips For Making Money As A Student by ednited(f): 6:48pm On Sep 12, 2017 |
Opinionated: There is a lot students can do to earn an income while actively working to garner their degree qualifications. Jumia Travel, the leading online travel agency, shares 6 helpful tips for making money as a student.
Do Freelance Writing For Blogs or Businesses
If you’re good at writing, you can consider doing freelance writing for blogs as one way of earning an income as a student. Aside blogs, many businesses are looking for freelance writers to help them meet their writing and content creation needs, so you can take advantage of this and apply for freelance jobs with these businesses.
Consider Doing Online Design Work
For students who consider themselves artists, have a knack for graphic design and are really good with Coreldraw, Photoshop or other graphic design software, doing online design work, like making small graphics for advertisements and full site redesigns for websites and businesses, can be a great way to earn an income. Students can also consider entering design competitions that offer monetary awards for winners, and stand a chance to get paid a good amount of money if they win.
Consider Becoming a Voice-Over Artist
Doing voice-over work for production companies and advertising agencies is another great way to earn an income as a student. If you have a great voice and some broadcasting talent, you can apply for voice-over opportunities and get paid doing voice-over work for people and businesses.
Do Printing Jobs
Considering the fact that students, especially university students, do a lot of printing work, you can set up a mini-printing business with an easily affordable deskjet printer whose inks can be easily refilled, and start printing for students at your own rates. You can set up this business close to any student’s hostel or even from your room, and be on your way to making some side income as a student.
Real Estate/House Agent
As a student, if you are conversant with your locality, you can use your free time to search for accommodation for freshers and fellow students in your school environment, charging them a commissions/agents fee for your service.
Sell Your Skills
Whatever skill you have, offer it as a service to people at a cost. If you are good at cooking, considering providing catering services to those in need of it at a reasonable cost. If you are good at sewing, considering making clothes for people at a cost. If you’re good at phone or computer repairs and maintenance, also consider providing this service to people at a cost. You only need to ensure that you market your skills well, and put yourself out there so people can see what you have to offer. You can also sell your services on online sites like Fiverr, Jumia Food etc.

Hati13:
How many times per week or month do you go to church? Have you visited important Christian sites here like:- - Lalibela - Axum Zion - Debre Lebanos - Debre Damo - others........? I haven't visited the places u have mentioned. I am not a strict Orthodox but I go to church with no program. Atleast I go there once in a week (when am busy). I don't read Bible much. But I do beleive God is everything and Holy water (tsebel) saves from anything. |

Hati13: I'm a none believer, but recently I've started to have a great interest in my ancestors and fellow Ethiopians Orthodox Christianity religion. I want to go to church at least once a month since it's my ancestors identity.
I don't believe in God, but want to have connections with Ethiopian Tewahedo Orthodox Christianity, so do like me to your prior faith. Happy reading this. There is nothing scary, come to church. The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo religion is very important. Leave alone you a non believer, we have muslims who got baptized and changed to Orthodox. An amazing story |
