Yes, First Class guys have a very high chance of getting this scholarship, because most of them also have great O'level results and the two points I mentioned gives them high chance of getting the scholarship. Also,most of those guys have several awards ,like best graduating student and other awards.
But,guys just try your best and pray for God's grace,I got the scholarship last year after four consecutive application. All I can say is God's grace because I graduated with Second Class Upper.
I met someone too during our induction,he is from Lagos,he graduated with Second Class Upper.
Guys, just try your best and make your interview superb and pray for God's grace.

When applying to a UK uni, could one write them a letter stating 1st degree was taught in English? Or is an English proficiency letter from Uni compulsory?

1. the schools I am intending to apply to in Germany are not in the ptdf list. During the application process on the ptdf site, what should I fill in the course application section.


Hope they gave you instructions and you are using your hands to look for trouble when there is none. PTDF had agreement with those listed schools. Maybe, you are a board memeber of PTDF, so, you can decide on your own without PTDF concept.

2. for the personal statement, can I center it around my first choice course? because the my three course choices are kinda different.

I know not everybody with transcript will be shortlisted but it’s clearly stated that it’s should be uploaded during the time of application.To be at the safer side, Transcript is one of the important document when it comes to shortlisting the applicant

Yeah but professional membership and publication are optional, it’s just that it will boost your points during interview. what’s compulsory there is the transcript.. it’s a must you upload your transcript for you to be shortlisted

Please, I need someone who has previously applied or gotten PTDF scholarship to help me as I am confused. I want to apply for Ph.D. in Germany as the first choice, then probably pick other schools in France, however, I cannot find the course (Chemical engineering under Ph.D. in Germany) but I can find the research area (Advanced process control or process system engineering) under the general research areas, yet it is stated that we can apply to any school in Germany, how do I navigate this? Also, considering that you can pick 3 schools in different countries, must it be the same research area in all the 3 schools? Most of the schools do not have common research areas for Ph.D. What should I do please as I believe Ph.D. is not something that you just choose any course just to get a scholarship if I decide to choose one of the stated courses, would there be room to change it to what you desire after getting the scholarship?

I noticed that IFP school in France, some courses are only taught in French and some causes are only taught in English. So make sure you check before choosing the course. If not you will learn French by force When you got there.. lolz..
