As for me, I pray to get the Scholarship. Admission is not running away. Besides, European Schools will give admission like never before. They need money for their economy due to Covid-19 disruption, so, Admission will not be difficult.

Get your self busy. As far airports have not opened internationally and the purpose of this scholarship is to go there not online, there is possibility that it would be next year.

It's like u don't knw ptdf, they can release the list in September and fix u in their partner schools that same September. Infact, they can call u for orientation and fly u from that orientation to the UK.

According to the help desk line handler whom I just spoke to a few minutes ago, a separate MSc list is not on the horizon. PhD interviews would have to be concluded before a list (which would consist of MSc and PhD scholars) would be published. They promised to revert to all candidates "soon." My conclusion: If interviews aren't held by the end of this month, anyone who doesn't already hold/hasn't applied for an admission offer by Aug should set their eyes to resuming next year if they are awarded a scholarship.

I said it already that many of us will resume this year until next year due to time factor and the pandemic. Some European schools have January, 2021 section or window for those who will not meet in September 2020.

God will make my name be among the successful ones. Next year is not a bad idea as for one secured the Scholarship.

Many can't meet up even if the list is released now due to time. I don't think Europe will be opened this September/October session.

My prayer is to secure the Scholarship first then any other thing will follow by God's grace so I am not in a hurry.

As far as I know. The result for the interview I attended at the University of Ibadan on 20th of March 2020 WILL NOT be delayed till next year. It WILL be released and utilised for 2020/2021 session.

it seems you don't know a lot about what is going on in the world right now.

what I meant is that many will not meet up for admission due to the pandemic. we will secure the scholarship but some will start next year due the pandemic.

I am interested in Nigeria's industrialization - building more infrastructural projects or industries where more jobs can be created for graduates with a robust economy. This will also increase our GDP. Having an experience in a production plant, I have realised the importance of PRODUCTION and MANUFACTURING which are very sacrosanct to drive any nation into abundance.

Five Major projects the government should give top priority are;

1. NLNG train 7 Project. Currently going on...

2. Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano Gas pipeline Project. Currently going on...

3. Ajaokuta Steel Company ( The "Mother" of all projects). It was designed to have the highest concentration of engineers in Africa. Unfortunately, it has been a moribund Project which this current administration is trying to revive. A committee was set up for a review.

4. The Trans-Sahara Gas Pipeline, from Nigeria to Europe. The sectional part, AKK Gas Pipeline has begun.

5. Mambilla Power Plant Project. Currently Going on...

With these projects, there will be a lot of jobs for graduates. They will also stimulate Nigeria's economy.

Thanks to Nigeria LNG Limited, Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation for NLNG Train 7 and AKK Gas Pipeline Projects.

I don't want to argue this further, but the suspension till further notice is a usual/normal vernacular often used in Nigeria to mean nothing. To me, it's an ambiguous statement.

It is important I reiterate for the umpteenth time that I am more concerned about communication. And whatever till further notice means should be clarified so that the interested candidate will be duly informed.

Only if you know that it's easier to get the scholarship than the other events post successful scholarship.

If Mr. President approves, the scholarship will still go on as usual. Although, things might be delayed due to the pandemic. Many will not make it this year to Europe and Asia besides some schools have postponed this year session to next year due to the pandemic.

How did you read his comment? Guess you didn't understand it before you commented.
When he talked about borders for Schengen countries, doesn't it tell you life is returning back to normal in those countries. Seems you don't know that Education is a source of revenue for those European countries.
Truth be told sha, PTDF should have done better, but I believe the issue has to be that it's because it's under the Nigerian government and we understand how Nigerian processes are.
If not what's the difference between PTDF, Total and even Shell. Total has completed theirs even with the pandemic, Shell is proceeding with interviews via the internet (online/virtual/zoom).
Why not PTDF, I guess it's simply government factor.

Shell or Total is not PTDF. PTDF successful applicants each year for the scholarship are more than these two you mentioned so they aren't the same. last year Total only gave 10 persons scholarship.

I don't want to criticize or rant but I think an agency like PTDF should have done better with communication and information management. Even little restaurants here update their websites with details about their current business process.

They is no excuse on why 3 months into the pandemic, a decision is yet to be reached or even an information published on their website on the current status of their key functions. European schools, institutions that PTDF is far bigger than send out emails, update their websites with latest information on weekly basis.

Aside that, I think everything is coming back to normal in Europe, the border to non-Schengen region will open in July 1st, also, for France, the president has announced that all schools except high schools can open from June 21st. For now guys, I think everything is green. What is left is the support to pursue our academic ambition in Europe. I pray it comes faster than we expect and in our favour.

PTDF said that the scholarship is on suspension till further notice and that information would be communicated to applicants via their website. So, allow PTDF to do things in its own way.

but must you go to any of those schools? if one really wants to start this year, he/she should apply to schools that will hold programmes this session. some have the plan for 14days isolation for international students on arrival. Do we even know when the pandemic will end... na this session sure pass o

Some can still start February, 2021.

In fact, many schools are beginning to wave TOEFL and IELTS. I think there are going to be a lot of opportunities in abroad. one of the reasons I want to leave this country by God's grace.

Everyone can't go this year. Even some UK or European Schools have posted this academic year to next year which is 2021/2022.
