UYCO:
I will respond to you later. I am a very busy man. The reason why I am very busy is because University graduates in my office hardly do any thing without my supervision. They are liability in the office. Apart from the fact that they have deficiency in handling engineering problems, they can't write ordinary memo to PS.
. Mr UYCO, you have nothing to say , you have been defeated. Mr. lecturer is more learned than you, more versatile than you and he has travelled to a lot of countries in the world. You only acquired Nigerian Education from a monotechnic of which if you enter Europe with it or US, you will end up as a cleaner or use it to work in the mortuary.
nothing to say. You only acquired Nigerian education. Mr Lecturer is more learned than you, more versatile than you , he has more experience than you locally and globally and he has travelled than you. Before you say anything check the ranking of University College London, London UK and also check PTI ranking in the world before you vomit trash.

Mr Lecturer, you can go for a German product like Volkswagen or Japanese like Toyota/Lexus. German products are expensive and durable and their maintenance cost is very high. fuel economy usage is very High and their parts are not too availability like on the market depend on what you go for. Japanese products, you can get their parts any time and fuel economy usage not too high. Maintenance cost not too high. Durability is also there but not like German products. Mr lecturer, when you put in place a good maintenance culture, you can enjoy Japanese products very well.

bizme:
Great one bro.

I still don't get why some people believe polytechnic education is better than university education. That's probably a way of consoling themselves.

That said, I wouldn't like to be in touch with someone as experienced and well-trained like you. I suck at the crucial technical details needed in deciding which car to buy. Imagine, I actually bought and brought a Citroen C5 into Nigeria. It uses an hydraulic suspension system...some 4 balloon stuffs. I decided based on the ride experience (it's like riding on clouds of soft cotton wool), its horsepower, and stability (dynamically regulates its center of gravity based on speed). Within a year, our Nigerian road burst the hydraulics... Hopefully we can be in touch and you wouldn't mind giving me some pointers (no more buying cars based on beauty).
. You should buy a car that uses shock absorber for its suspension system because of our bad roads. Cars that uses balloons for their suspension system are very rare because I have only worked on one car that uses balloon as its suspension system that was a Landruiser Prado. Some cars are not manufactured for a tropical country like Nigeria where the temperature is very high. Like Toyota cars, the ones we used in Nigeria are manufactured in south Africa, Dubai and some in Japan . Those manufactured from Canada are not to be used in Nigeria but Nigerians still go for them e.g Toyota Tundra, when check it, you will made in Canada. They don't use the kind of fuel and their viscosity rating of engine oil is very low compared to ours.

My experience spans internal combustion engines, sensors, actuators, control systems, mechanical systems (like pumps, valves etc), electronic system, fluid mechanics and hydraulic machines etc. People like Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, pastor Chris Anita and Mr. Festus Keyamo are university products not a polytechnic products and alumni of AAU.

I have the practicals as a hands-on mechanical engineer with the company I am working with now and Google is my friend. It has put food on my table a lot and my boss like me a lot because I am informed. Some engineers will just fold their hands and be shouting no jobs.

I have come and cross a lot of graduates, they don't want to start little. Everybody want to work in Shell or Mobil. Even though they didn't study anything that relative to oil. Where I am now, the pay is not too much but I need the knowledge to start up my own automobile company after spending six months or a year with them. I will employ a lot of graduates when the time comes. just in the next 7 years
