There are not many benefits to not believing. I can list 100 benefits to believing in the supernatural. I can list 1000 hindrances when believing. So one can easily be disadvantaged in life when following religions.

In my opinion being an Atheist is not optional. I know too much to believe in the supernatural. I cant go back. I cant delude myself.

I also prefer my life as an atheist. I am practical and like to make reasonable decisions based on logic. Religion is too burdening in its current forms. It is too controlling.

with this last comment of yours i know why you are an atheist. You have me what i've looking for all the while. When you are in mi shoes you will be shocked that after so many comments atheist is trying to tell me what i really asked. Don't think of asking again,if you care to answer kindly scroll upward and follow the thread. Buh you being an atheist, i know why and i want to tell you that you are not totally escaping the hindrance you think you've escaped from. I won't tell you . I have once harbored such thinking not even knowing about the word atheist because of what you mentioned that made you one of them. You say what you are told while i say what i've experienced. Wikipedia or whatever you call it is just like a book containing information on what people think or feel. Whether it is on science,religion,myth just mention it. But its a really sad thing that most black ph.d holders view anything they read from this vast book of information as fact. I wonder where reasoning is when you are reading the information someone entered into a computer site and you can not interprete. The brain has a part for logical reasoning but its not going to work unless you train it to. Whoever you are white or black,since wikipedia is your infallible teacher. I advice you search with wikipedia the word GREEK CHAOS and you will know one truth about the big bang . No be today big bang start,e don tey. Face it!!! ATHEISM IS A FAITH YOU CHOOSE TO GO WITH EVEN KNOWING OF ITS FLAWS. Because religion don fail you one way or the other atheism na the only way to do dem back. Regrettably,among the things that undermine the belief in God is evil perpetrated in his name. As a result,some have concluded that mankind would be better off without religion. I have been a bible student for 7yrs now and i have seen that most of the doctrines practiced and taught in christianity are far from what the bible teaches. I was liberated from traditionalism to the christianity. In nigeria,clergy men and the politicians wine and dine at the detriment of the nigerian people. Corrupt leaders are close pals with all clergy around the world. Christians and muslims ally together when its obvious that they not allies(something the pharisees did with the saduccees against christ),all at the detriment to the ordinary people. Sometimes i do not blame black men for turning to atheism. The real blame rests on the clergy who have not been faithful to their cause. But let this be a warning to anybody who wants to waste his time with atheism- it will do no good to just rests blames on anyone cos at the end,everybody has their own torture stake to carry. What do you think?

its really overrated. Buh it exists. I have once witnessed their existence. I stayed in a igbe(juju) palace for months and i saw wat happened live. Buh,it does not make sense to blame all road accidents on witchcraft. I don't need further proof to know they exists. If anybody claims otherwise,please state your reason,i don't want the usual white peoples over exaggerated comments o. Talk like a black man except you've not experienced it. Just admit you're not aware of such existence.

every political leader and religious leader are satanists and criminals in disguise. In bible times,the prophets go into the palace of kings to counsel them,buh wat do we see today.? The pastors and political leaders visit themselves on regular basis. Cardinal Okogie is a regular guest at aso rock ,i even heard one senator gave pastor Oyedepo a private jet as a birthday gift and the slowpoke accepted it. They're all rogues. Sometimes i don't blame people for saying religion is not worth our trust. Buh the truth is that all these are bible prophesies coming true.
