For many years, I have noticed similar comments whenever someone says he/she is a virgin.

There's something haters always say 'virginity doesn't guarantee successful marriage'. I kept wondering why are these haters always saying same stuff. No one taught them these statements in school. Accepting a plea bargain even if they released them, it's like a noncustodial sentence, they still don't have the absolute freedom of a free citizens, unlike discharged and acquitted.
Everyone is having a file, they should pull up the file, check the details of what brought them to court, if the proof in watery, let the court discharge and acquit them, if shady, the committee should conduct a one on one interview to find out details, and determine if it's worth an acquittal or committal, for all committal, they take the plea bargain and they can then pass the sentence.
Putting all together, means a truly innocent person might be out of prison but still unable to get certain opportunities, eg, bank or financial institution refusing to employ him because he is an exconvict, unable to aspire for a political office because he is an exconvict, a visa rejection, etc

It's same thing we are saying.... They don't wanna do exactly wat u av said, because of d time n resources it will consume, dey can't just tell u are innocent by just reading ur file. They must investigate to confirm u are truly innocent, to prove beyond reasonable doubt...

Some accused are actually not guilty, accepting this offer when they know they are not guilty means they will be an exconvict, why not check through each case and let those without reasonable proof be discharged and acquitted, then the rest can take the plea bargain option

But if u feel u are innocent, u av d right to get ur own lawyer n pay for all services, den govt has to fund police as well to get all evidences to jail u...

But if a plea bargain is reached, it makes d process easier.... It's just like saving d police d stress of investigation, time, resources to prove dat u are guilty... It will den help decongest remand n close out d long list of those awaiting trial ...

American judiciary n agencies like d police, FBI, DEA does this a lot.. Cos there are other cases pending dat needs time and also d resources dey will spend, d time, d cases dat will pile up, just to prove 1 person guilty...

And most criminals don't even have d money to fund d court hearing, this govt gives dem lawyers, this stretching govt resources, and reduce d ace of closing out cases....

It's a nice1 from him, cos in Nigeria here, most of d people are innocent, but it will favour d few day truly committed d crime, instead of death sentence, some may get 15yrs, 20yrs or life.... Which is still better Dan DEATH SENTENCE
