It's Wenger's fault, most central defenders coming from foreign leagues(especially from average teams in foreign leagues) usually get eased into teams. I don't understand this fire brigade approach in defence. Why doesn't he just bring a stalwart instead if it's an emergency ?

Let's see how many people here will call for  Wenger to retire now or claim Arsene do not  have a clue tactically.  Smh.
angry

Because we beat a team in a dip at the moment you believe Wenger has gotten back the right stuff all of a sudden ? All that happened today was a sort of assurance to Man U and City that Chelsea will be less of a worry when April comes. Not to sound discouraging to us, i don't even see us finishing above Chelsea; that means we have tottenham to contend with for that last UCL spot.
Just remember the day i said this when next May comes.

Hugh Hefner, the 84- year-old founder of Playboy magazine, has announced that he is to be married for the third time. In a message to his Twitter followers on Christmas Day, Hefner said he had given his 24- year-old girlfriend, model Crystal Harris, a ring. "Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring," he clarified in a later tweet. Hefner set up Playboy magazine in 1953 , and Harris featured in it as Playmate of the Month in December 2009. The soft-porn magnate and libertarian has been married twice before - to Mildred Williams in 1949 , and Kimberley Conrad in 1989. Over the decades he has admitted affairs with dozens of Playmates. But last April Hefner and Harris reportedly " became exclusive". "When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears," Hefner told Twitter followers. "This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory." For her part, Harris told Twitter followers simply: "The most memorable Christmas ever. " Playboy's Hugh Hefner to marry Playmate Crystal Harris

UPDATE 1- Religious clashes flare in central Nigeria
26 Dec 2010
Source: Reuters // Reuters (Adds quotes, details) JOS, Nigeria, Dec 26 ( Reuters) -

Clashes broke out between armed Christian and Muslim groups near the central Nigerian city of Jos on Sunday, a Reuters witness said, after Christmas Eve bombings in the region killed more than 30 people. Buildings were set ablaze and people were seen running for cover as the police and military arrived on the scene in an effort to disperse crowds. "Houses are on fire all over the place and I can see injured people covered in blood being dragged by friends and family towards the hospital," the Reuters witness said. The unrest was triggered by explosions on Christmas Eve in villages near Jos, capital of Plateau state, that killed at least 32 people and left 74 critically injured. [ID:nLDE6 BO03 F] Vice President Namadi Sambo will travel to Jos on Sunday. "The vice president is on his way to Jos to make an effort to quell this crisis," Sambo's spokesman said. Hundreds of people died in religious and ethnic clashes at the start of the year in Nigeria's "Middle Belt", where the mostly Muslim north meets the largely Christian south. The tensions are rooted in decades of resentment between indigenous groups, mostly Christian or animist, who are vying for control of fertile farmlands and for economic and political power with mostly Muslim migrants and settlers from the north. Politics › Re: Nigeria Needs To Split Urgently! by edoyad(m): 8:03am On Dec 26, 2010
why create another thread? we have  about 70  of these created already and  almost all of them come to a  conclusion that nigeria wont split.  Nigeria is bad but its not as bad as you  think. Nigeria has potential and if it  splits then you will lose that potential. International investors are already  flocking to Nigeria because of its  potentials. But you hardly see that  many Nigerians abroad investing in  Nigeria, why, because you all brain  washed yourselves in thinking Nigeria  is a wasteland.  If nigeria is really doomed as you guys  say then why are people investing  million and billions of dollars in  nigeria? answer that question.  trust me, nigeria wont split.
The Chinese are also investing billions in Sudan but the south will be holding a referendum soon that'll definitely split the country. The billionS invested won't disappear, the investments'll still be there after the break up.

@It's a good thing that the younger generation are almost all in agreement that Nigeria should split. Now it's just a question of time, let the old generation with their "one nigeria" mentality wither away so the plan can materialise.
When a division is agreed, a conference for who and what goes where can be convened.

Do you really want to know ? Take one guess

What this shows is, when election comes, we shouldn't stoopidly lay support for patrons of backwardness illiteracy that WILL drag our existence deeper into peril and disorder.
Hopefully when the administration settles down next year we can start planning the next phase that'll ensure we purge ourselves of the agents of doom.

How many death of innocent nigerians will it  take for the Govt of d day to take a firm stand of these senseless killings? A Govt. dat can  not protect her citizens against internal and  external aggression is a failed Govt. and if  this continues as it is now it will only lead to  a failed state and this breaks my heart.  The first suspects here are d muslim  fundamentalists who are well supported, financed and sponsored by well know  politicians, muslim clerics, imams as well as  emirs who believe in their 'holy' jihad and  seven virgins in heaven. These same set of  people will come on air and tell who care to  listen dat islam is a religion of peace and  condemn d act whereas they are the brain  behind d mayhem. They send all these  messages to mosque and islamic societies to  take arms against their christian brothers.  They even go as far as killing muslims of  southern descent so is more of a ethno- religious cleansing. It was in this country not  too long ago in kano and kaduna that some  southern(mostly yorubas)muslims were  slaughtered right inside the mosque  immediately after jumat prayers. we can not allow this to continue. These gays should be fished out cos they are in high  places and be prosecuted. If the Govt. Does not take a drastic step in  correcting these anomalies once and for all, they are leading us to nowhere but the part  of wanton destruction where no one will be  spared. Desperate times call for desperate  measures.I pray for my country NIGERIA,and  may the labour of our heroes past not be in  vain. May God give us a responsible Govt. to  remedy our adversities and put us in the  course of recovery.MAY THE SOUL OF THE  DEPARTED REST IN PEACE AND MAY THOSE  LEFT BEHIND TO MOURN THEM FIND SOLACE IN  GOD.
Kwarrect ! Islam no be the problem here, IT IS ABOKI MENTALITY AND BACKWARDNESS. Do you want to live in a society like somalia or sudan ? If not, time to change this is now.

Dude i subscribe to this idea 100 %, we need  to start learning Chinese ASAP. Infact it's too  late for that to be a proactive measure. Do  you know i saw almost a dozen Chinese  students in BUK, kano recently, studying ?  They are proactive, we would only be  reacting.

As things stand right now , China has a  reserve some where near 2  trillion dollars,  we have to be advertising our selves so we  can get some of that as FDI as they look for  where to use that.
My initial post ¥
This is kind of silly, and I used to see it a lot  in the US. Lots of American students learn  Chinese because the Chinese are growing  significantly in influence in terms of business  and such. However, the joke is on them  because the Chinese are learning english lol,  so that they can integrate into a more  globalized economy where english is the most important language. You guys should first master English b4  you  learn chinese. Do you know how hard chinese  is? It needs years of hardwork and dedication  before you can even say a few words, not to  talk of fluently speaking the language. Most  lazy Nigerians cannot even learn the alphabet not to talk of the whole language.
This was your initial post, YOURS.
Thats different and the chinese in HK/ Guangzhou is different from that in mainland  china. Also conversational learning is kind of  easier than academic learning IMO. Sitting in  a class, its difficult to learn a language than  living in a country where speaking the  language is the norm. What edoyad is  suggesting is the former. Let me suggest an  alternative approach
. . .
Edoyad suggested what mister ? Where ?  huh  I came up with the example of Nigerian engineers learning Chinese to buttress my point, why ?
You said we're too dumb and lazy to learn Chinese.

@SEDAGO, your case is hopeless. I told you the Nigerian Airforce trains some of it's engineering personnel in China, and all you do is bring up threads that show some people complaining about how hard it is to learn Chinese and Arabic ?
BTW, many Nigerian's speak Arabic too, i have a friend who interpretes Arabic just from the learning the quoran and not any language training.
Politics › Re: Do Nigerians Need To Learn Chinese? by edoyad(m): 8:20am On Dec 24, 2010
Posted by: SEFAGO ^ black man ko, white man ni. Chinese is a very difficult language to learn if you are not a native speaker. Its not an affair of being black. One of my friends actually took chinese for three years and he is Nigerian. But he spent a lot of time studyig the basics, and he is not fluent
All Chinese must be geniuses i guess, going by your logic. I just told you the Nigerian Military trains some me it's engineers in China and you're still going on about difficult to learn. And who needs to be fluent in Chinese ?
Are the Chinese themselves fluent in English ? All one needs is a basic knowledge in the language to be able to conduct a reasonable exchange.
Politics › Re: Do Nigerians Need To Learn Chinese? by edoyad(m): 8:08am On Dec 24, 2010
@SEfago FYI, many Nigerians already speak Chinese , may be not proficiently but atleast they speak. Nigerian Air-Force Engineers who receive training in China hav to take a language course for about a year b4 they start engineering proper.
