Just heard on Radio 5 Live here in the U K that the hostages were being held in Sokoto that the kidnappers were not Boko Haram but kidnappers who usually kidnap oil workers. Two of the kidnappers were killed during the botched operation and 3 were captured. sad
We cannot categorically distinguish them from boko haram but yes, it appears they were more of Al Qaeda related . Though they still could have executed some attacks in support of B H.

Just yesterday I screamed 'who needs Fabregas when we've got Diaby', permit me to change that to who needs Fabregas when we've got Song.  grin grin grin

Nice pass again from Song. We need more passes like this from our midfielders. And what a finish! What more can we say about RVP?
Good to see Lionel Diaby back on the field but did he get injured again? undecided

Truth be told, Liverpool dominated most part of the game. That Suarez guy is on another plane. Thank God they left their scoring boots on the training ground. Szczesny's double save from Kuyt's penalty must be one of the saves of the season. That guy just needs to improve on his distribution and he'l be the best in the EPL.

+3points, +1 goal. +6points and +4goals in games against Spurs and Liverpool. Good one. Newcastle, Everton and Villa are next. I propose we play our second team against Milan  grin grin. Time for Chamakh to get 90 mins football@
I honestly believe Arsenal could put five past Milan if they want to, If Arsenal really want to this team can score five. The problem is can they keep Milan out?

Erm, who said Arsenal was ever a poor club? another one of your oversimplifications abi?
stop being disingenuous here Debo, what clubs were Arsenal being compared to in that writeup? Hartlepool and Millwall, where were those clubs then and where are those clubs today?  cheesy
The fact is that in terms of revenue and league positions at the times that article was written, Arsenal was behind the following 3 clubs in terms of revenue and also most times in terms of final league placement at that time:

Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle

Arsenal at that time was at par with the likes of:

Tottenham and Aston Villa in terms of Revenue and was actually behind Villa in terms of trophies won in that era while lagging far behind both Manure and Liverpool in terms of silverware at that time.

Dispute issues like the intellectual you are and not use articles comparing Arsenal with Hartlepool and Millwall who have always been nobodies in English soccer abeg. That is serious 'Agbero' logic.  grin

By the way, you don't even need to think too far, which Forbes list would Arsenal have been on at that time?

First 10, 20, 100, 1000?  grin grin grin

And lest I forget, was one of the recent set of managers who have won things for Arsenal after the Great Herbert Chapman, he got results but was as boring as hell and he also took bungs.
who does that remind you of, boring football asides?  grin grin
I can't talk about the finances for now but you're definitely wrong about the titles won. Even Manchester United hadn't won as much league titles as we had back then, i believe we were only behind Liverpool. In fact, we actually dropped to third in league titles won during the Wenger era.

Schweinsteiger is the soul of the Bayern team and losing him mid season was a huge blow.

When we roughshod the EPL table topper, Robben wasnt on the field, When we humiliated Manure in Munich in 2010 Robben didnt play

Robben is the x factor, Schweinsteiger is the Soul. Immediately Schweini got injured vs Napoli the team collapsed
Just had to make a comeback for this one. For the first one, so Schweini is the soul eh? Just for reference purpose, Na who be yansh abeg? Gomez abi. Okay Mueller is definitely the prick and Ribery the scrotum sack.
Just listen to the sad excuse, you're lucky it wasn't A C Milan you met last night.

As for second part . . .

Robben could also be Project Fame and West African Idol while Schweinsteiger could be R&B.
PoliticsKaduna Pastor Mistaken For Boko Haram Dies In Hospital by edoyad(op): 8:07am On Feb 20, 2012
VALIANT efforts to save him, notwithstanding, the official of the Kaduna State government who was mistaken for a Boko Haram member and shot by armed soldiers and other security agents at the Government House died yesterday.

The Kaduna State Director of Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Information, Pastor Isua Kiforo, who was recuperating at the 44 Military Reference Hospital after he was shot, died at about 11.00 a.m.

He had earlier undertaken an operation at the hospital where several bullets were said to have been removed from his legs and lower abdomen.

Confirming the news of his death, the Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Saidu Adamu, said that Kiforo “died at about 11.00 a.m., this morning.”

The news of Kiforo’s death was also broken at the Living Faith Church, Kakuri and Barnawa, where the late pastor served.

But some Pastors of the Living Faith Church, Kaduna, who were associates of the late Kiforo, have expressed doubts if he actually disobeyed an order to stop for a security check.

Besides, the Narayi residence of the deceased pastor was full of sympathisers who condoled with the family. .

A pastor at the Living Faith Church, Mr. Samson Fagbemi, said that it was unfortunate that Kiforo could not live to give his own version of how the security at the Government House opened fire on him.

Fagbemi said: “He was the one who introduced the Hausa service in the church. He was well-known among the entire pastorate and he loved God. His death is unfortunate. One cannot say it was an act of God because God is not the author of confusion. I have known him since the late 80s and we had always been together as a brother, a deacon and as a pastor.”

He added: “We have listened to the government version about the circumstances leading to the unfortunate shooting incident at the Government House. But we could not get his own version of the story, which is unfortunate. We had hoped he would come out and tell us what really happened, but we could not get his version. .

THERE were gunshots at the main gate of the Government House, Kaduna, on Monday afternoon, as soldiers on guard stopped a man who reportedly tried to force his way into the premises.

Newsmen were told that the man, who drove a car, was stopped at the first checkpoint for inquiries and was said to have sought for entry to see the state governor, but he was told to go back, as the governor was in Abuja on an official assignment.

However, the soldiers reportedly fired shots at the man, because instead of making a U–turn, he decided to force his way through into the Government House.

The soldiers were said to have shot the man in the leg, while he was rushed to a nearby hospital under tight security.

The gunshots caused panic and confusion around the area, as commuters and passers-by were forced to go back, while nearby business premises temporarily closed.

There were, however, conflicting reports on the identity of the man who was later identified as a senior government official with the state ministry, and not on a suicide mission.

At a press briefing, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Bala Nasarawa, confirmed the incident, saying that the man was later identified as Pastor Isuwa Kiforo, the Director, Finance and Administration, state Ministry of Information.

According to him, he had been rushed to 44 Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna, for treatment, adding that nothing incriminating was recovered in
Trying to force his way in? I'm really disappointed at the guards. They should have shot him point blank in between the eyes. Moronic human beings who don't know why rules are created deserve severe punishment.

Testimony time:
Yesterday i dropped my phone, it slammed so hard face down on the floor that it sounded like someone used force in doing it. I picked it up and it and noticed the back covering wasnt closing completely and wondered why since the phone appeared ok. To my surprise, i noticed the force of the impact had bent the battery out of shape. It was so badly twisted that i had to pound it back into shape with an empty coke bottle(no beer bottle around grin grin) before it fit back properly. I'm still surprised at the force of the impact that could damage the battery so badly and do zilch to the phone.
