The first things is knowing the child background, be simple with him especially if he has little or no basic education. Start with ABC, to two letter words, three letter words, four and five. Give him a dictation exercise. Let him read passage. It will be helpful shalom! |

Awaiting Result is the term used for candidates O’ level result that is not available at hand. There are rumors going all over the internet that there is no admission for students using awaiting result this year. All these rumors are heresies from the pit of hell, check Nigeria system of education from 1993, there has always been slots allocated for fresh secondary graduate in every admission slot. I want you guys to wipe your tears, there is possibility of gaining admission this year only if you have good credentials. We have WAEC and NECO as the major written O’ Level exams in Nigeria, and the exam form that is good for awaiting result is May/June WAEC, this because they release their result as early as August. This year May/June WAEC result will likely come out on the 5th or 12th of August, there is nothing to panic about, your WAEC result will be released before the screening deadline, another thing is that most universities open their portal for candidates using awaiting result. Below are universities that will consider awaiting result this year: 1. Obafemi Awolowo University: check www.eportal.oauife.edu.ng, read the instruction very well, prospective candidates who are using awaiting results are also eligible to apply to OAU admission screening exercise. Also take note that only awaiting results within the specific period will be allow to upload their result when they are released. 2. Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta: check www.admission.unaab.edu.ng , read the pre-admission screening very well. FUAAB will reopen their portal for candidates using awaiting, if closed. This is what they normally do every year, only students with awaiting result will have access to portal. 3. University of Lagos: check www.unilag.edu.ng, Unilag requires JAMB original result slip with passport photograph on their screening date. Note: Candidates with awaiting results are also eligible, candidates who will not be sixteen years of age by Oct 31, 2016 are not eligible and need not apply. 4. University of Ilorin: check www.uniilorin.edu.ng, WAEC result will be released before their screening date. Apart from that, there is slot for fresh secondary graduate every year. 5. University of Jos: check www.unijos.edu.ng , as of today July 5, 2016, Unijos 2016/2017 screening date is not known. The screening date will be out probably before the end of this month, I am very sure WAEC result will be released before their screening deadline. 6. University of Benin: check www.uniben.edu.ng, due to the scrapping of post UME, Uniben suspended their screening exercise till further notice, the new date is not known yet. WAEC result will be released before their screening deadline. 7. UNIPORT: check www.uniport.edu.ng, the latest news by the university registrar, Mrs. Dorcas D. Otto says that the screening have been postponed till further notice, WAEC result will be released before their screening deadline. 8. FUTA: Their post UME is out, if you score more than 180 in JAMB, you are eligible to write their screening. 9. University of Abuja: there screening date is not known yet, WAEC result will be released before their screening deadline. 10. University of Calabar: there screening date is not known, WAEC result will be released before their screening deadline. There are many State Universities and Polytechnics that will accept awaiting result, almost all the Private Universities in Nigeria will accept awaiting result. Stay calm, if you are using May/June WAEC awaiting result, you have hope. source is http://www.9jaread.com/2016/07/see-universities-that-will-consider.html |
Nice write up bros, JAMB exam needs upgrading, screening is very important. Some schools admit candidates based on blind credentials, let face practical, let students defend themselves before panel. If you score 400 in JAMB, come for oral screening , defend yourself... |
Abraham4christ:that should be in secondary school not higher institution. |
lol, meaning? |
hmm, that's your opinion. |
Relationship is the way in which two or more people are connected. When talking of relationship, communication is very important. The problem facing relationship in our societies is lack of understanding. When we fail to understand the person beside us, then the problem begins. We have different types of personalities and we also have different people with different temperaments. I will explain these temperaments before writing the relationship status in Nigeria University. We have these set of people in our communities: The Sanguine, Choleric, Phlegmatic and the Melancholy. If we fail to understand each other there will be problem and the communication we are talking about will not be effective. · Sanguine: they are the talkative, they are chatty and openly emotional; they easily make friends even with strangers. They make their environment more lively and people enjoy being around them. Whenever they are angry, they make you know either by screaming or by shouting ‘I hate you’. They ask for forgiveness and believe it’s over. · Choleric: they are said to be the proud ones not because they want to but because of their nature. They are leaders and directors, they seem to be in control of everything because they believe they know it all. They use imperative words like ‘go there’, ‘sit here’, they also argue a lot because they want to stick to what they know and will want other people to bend to their opinion. They are single minded in taking decision and are always independence even in career, they strive to get to the peak so as to be in command. · Phlegmatic: they are submissive, they live their lives to please people. They easily yield to correction and accept blames. They don’t believe they know things, they would rather seek advice from other people before they do anything. They like being lonely and enjoy quit place. They are also good listeners because they pay attention to details. · Melancholy: they are people who have standards and norms they follow, no matter what you say, they will stick to their own opinion. They are lagers to news things, they will rather choose old system of life to new ones. They are inquisitive, they want to know everything around them. They also hate borrowing people their things because they believe they can’t take care of those things. They are the type that take list to market and make sure they obey that list. Below are the Relationship status you will find in Nigeria University: 1. Intra-Personal Relationship: this is the first relationship a student can have in Nigerian University. It is the relationship between oneself, students have to create a kind of unity within themselves. Do you hate your k-leg, and you want other people to love it. You need to love yourself, have trust in yourself that you can make exploit. 2. Inter-Personal Relationship: this is very important in normal school setting, students interact with one another to achieve a specific goal. Your need to have good relationship with other students. 3. Academic Relationship: sometimes students meet new friends because they are good in a particular course. Students tend to move closer to brilliant students for help them in their academics. This is S-R (Stimulus-Response) type of relationship. 4. Lecturer- students Relationship: this type of relationship is needed for effective teaching and communication skills. It is sad that some lecturer are sadist, they are so hard on students; they are the one who fail students in mass. They want students to fear them. Effective relationship between lecturers and students will bring the result will want. 5. Town and Gown Relationship: this type of relationship is between Indigene and students. I call this mutual relationship, the indigenes are happy being friend with a university student, while the students benefit some goodies e.g food, material from Indigenes. 6. Boyfriend – Girlfriend Relationship: this is very common in Nigerian schools, not only in higher institution but also in secondary schools. It’s always come when the two parties involved love themselves and are committed to each other. 7. Husband – wife Relationship: this type of relationship has gone beyond boyfriend –girlfriend, they are students who live as husband and wife in universities. They live in the same room and believe they are one even without marriage. 8. Brethren Relationship: this is common among religious folks in the university. They love themselves, pray together and share things together. They are found in fellowships and mosques in various campuses. 9. Family Relationship: despite the distance between parents and their children, students- parent relationship still sticks like glue. Students depend on their parents for material goods while parent seek all means to check the affairs of their children. 10. God-Man Relationship: students do understand and realize their maker, they worship him and do everything that pleases him. Stay bless…. IT is an abbreviation for Industrial Training, it is a professional aspect of education which students in higher institutions are expose to. Industrial Training refers to work experience that is relevant to professional development prior to graduation. Industrial Training is normally done by students during the semester breaks or second semester at the end of third or fourth year of stay in campus. In case of engineering students it’s called SIWES (Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme) which usually fall during second semester of 400L and long vacations. I want you to read this article very well, any slight skipping might make you lose valuable tips. Let me quickly tell you the benefits of Industrial Training: 1. To expose students to practical experience and knowledge which is required in industry, especially things that are not thought in lecture room. 2. To apply the theory thought in lecture room in real industry situation. 3. To gain experience in writing reports in your disciplines. 4. To expose students to professional responsibilities. 5. To expose students to future employers. 6. Development of skills and communications. 7. Train to write final year project. The following are things you should know before going for IT program: 1. IT program should be every semester break: many students wait until their third or fourth year in school before they go for IT. It is true many students use their semester break to work, at least find some money before they resume. I will advise you to create time for your discipline, money will come later when you are good in your discipline. Search for industries, companies during your semester holidays, It’s because you need experience, you can’t gain that experience in an IT of 3 months. 2. Choose a standard Industry/Company for your IT: The place where you do your IT matters, you need to do research, use google. When you choose standard industry, you will be thoroughly furnished. It also tells the kind of people you will mingle with. Don’t choose because most of your friends are there. 3. Closeness to residence: Make sure you choose a place close to your residence. The IT is for learning, you don’t need stress, you need to resume work early. 4. Create room for future employment: Remember, you are not yet employed, therefore, you need to work diligently, be smart and be hardworking. This is because many employers regard this period as a chance to vet new employee for future employment. 5. Get experience in a range of activities: involve yourself in many practical works, even if it’s outside what you learn in school. The world is not waiting for people with common sense but people with unique sense. 6. Be puncture: you need to attend work regularly, resume work early, by doing this you are build yourself for the future. 7. Ask questions: you need to understand every step, ask questions from your supervisor. Don’t feel too big or timid, it is the best time to gain knowledge. 8. Seek advice from your employer: if you have the opportunity of getting to the owner of that company, ask questions about his life, what he did to reach the position, seek advice on your career , experience is a great teacher, you don’t have to repeat their mistakes. 9. Be friendly with your co-worker: communication is very important, who knows where help can come from? You need to respect those that old, you don’t need rudeness. Be simple in the way you interact. Build your intra-personal relationship then move to inter personal relationship. 10. Snap pictures: whenever you are doing something that can easily be forgotten, snap it with your phone. You also need pictorial views when writing your report, so keep your pictures. 11. Present a good report: your report will tell how much you have invested. When writing, be smart, precise and explain well to prove you have done good job. You can follow the following methods for your report: · Introduction: a brief explanation on what you did during your IT program. · Purpose of report: it includes: Training experience, personal performance, technical report and your personal experience. · Content and Format: write eligibly, using appropriate front and size, A4 paper with front size of 12 is ok. · Table of Content: it includes Title, sub-title, page number… · Background of Company or Organization: this a brief description of the industry where you did the IT. You can include the history, structural organization of main activity, you can also include title and position of officers in the company. · Summary of duties: e.g time of duty, the type of work you did. · Working experience: this include project carried out, supervisory works, problem faced, problem solved etc. · Summary: this a brief explanation of everything you have written. · Reference: you need to show list of people’s work used in your report. · Appendix: it includes training pictures, figures/tables, notations and symbols.
