1. The Kano State Hisbah Board was created through the Kano State Hisbah Board Law No.4 of 2003 and the Kano State Hisbah Board (Amendment) Law No.6 of 2005 by the Kano State House of Assembly, which were duly assented to by the then Governor of Kano State, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau.

Now, what Law created AMOTEKUN, by which House of Assembly, and who assented to it?

2. Under Section 7 of the Law No. 4 of 2003, Hisbah Corps were established with the duties and responsibilities set out under subsection (4) of that section, some of which include:

Rendering necessary assistance to the Police and other Security Agencies especially in the areas of prevention, detention and reporting of offences;

Handling non-fire-arms for self defence like batons, and other non-lethal civil defence instruments;

-Assisting in any other situation that will require the involvement of Hisbah be it preventive or detective.

The Law that established Hisbah Corps was categorical in not allowing them to carry fire arms or any lethal weapons for self defence.

What about AMOTEKUN? What does the law establishing it say, if at all one exists?

3. The Government of Olusegun Obasanjo through the Inspector General of Police Mr. Sunday Ehindero in a press briefing on 7th of February, 2006 declared the Hisbah Law and the operations of the bodies created by the Laws as unconstitutional and illegal.

Is AMOTEKUN even backed by any Law?

4. On 8th February, 2006 the same Inspector General of Police Sunday Ehindero ordered his officers and men to effect the arrest of the Chairman and Commander General of the Hisbah Corps, Mallam Yahaya Farouk Chedi and his Deputy Mallam Abubakar Abdulkareem Rabo. They were arrested in Kano and immediately taken to Abuja where they were detained.

Has any Commander of AMOTEKUN been arrested, despite the fact that they are not backed by any known law and are made to carry fire-arms?

Would the atmosphere not have been more volatile by now if such has happened?

5. The same Government of Olusegun Obasanjo through the Minister of Information, Mr Frank Nweke Jr. in another press briefing made serious allegations that the Hisbah had sought foreign assistance from Libya and Iran for training as a terrorist group.

Look at the name of the man who went to court.Who send am? Is that not a clear indication that there are undercurrents going on yet to be known?

Amotekun is a good idea.But the Yoruba governors are taking steps to legalize it...So who send this shombolator message?

If they couldn't prove DSS invasion of court with the so called video,how on earth do you want us to believe DSS team leader apologised to Justice Ojukwu (DSS has denied anyway) which was not in line with his 1st 2 statements on Friday.
He said he wass the one that drove Sowore to DSS office and at the same time he wass the one that saw the team leader apologizing to the justice after telling the world DSS brought guns and ordered the justice out .
Sahara is reporting that DSS agent was putting on a lawyer's robe and Falana repeated it.Even that is going to be a new comical idea for Nollywood!
He has released only a Nollywood script sir.

2.Falana again? I remember his story that Zakzaky had lost one eye and was close to death. Why is this man so shameless?

With El-Zakzaki, he cintinully lied. E.g., he said at time that his client was getting blind in one eye and paraplegic and he needed treatment abroad as they didn't trust Nigerian doctors. After blackmailing the FHN and the Judge, the court agreed to send him to India, his country of choice. No sooner did he and his wife arrived India the El-Zakzaki began to walk, the eye-patch removed. He even refused treatment. Indian govt had send him back to Nigeria after only 4 days and since his return we haven't heard of his sickness, paralysis.
Someone should tell Falana to take it easy. I'm certain, this Sowore's case will end up in disgrace for him just as that IMN's leader's case.

Some people are just making careless comments while the video being shown does not tell the full story.

Here is what happened.

1.Sowore was released last night with strongest conditions attached.One was not to address the press during his trial.
2.He came to court today and the first thing he did was to address the press.
3.He saw the DSS coming and ran into the court with the DSS on his tail. The melee inside the court is what was shown but not the earlier press conference he was holding.Showi g that Video alone was misinformation

4.If u break the law u must face the law. If an armed robber or kidnapper ran into a court while being pursued by law enforcement must they let him go because he ran into a court room? I dont think so.

5.DSS has every right to arrest u without going back to court if u break bail conditions

Please what should DSS have done with any other person, say an alleged kidnapper who breaks bail conditions and ran into a court room which was not in session? Or is Sowore's case different?

6.Why is focus on the reaction to an illegal action? Why did he decide to instigate unnecessary drama by deliberately breaking one of the bail conditions. Why is there no holistical consideration of what happened and the rush to condemn the DSS?

ANY COMMENT THAT CONDEMNS THE DSS ONLY IS BIASED. PERIOD

young man this is a TETFUND assisted project. its a direct disbursement from the till of Tertiary Education Tax TET (every company in Nigeria is expected to pay 2% of their assessable profit as Education Tax, just so to foster edu development in the country it is a fiduciary Fund held in trust by the FG which disbursement is made to Higher Institutions of learning 50:25:25 ratio for uni, poly, COE respectively on intervals..... so it is not in anyway a FG funding as you have thought!
