But the Op failed to give us the name of the 32 yr old. Instead, he hypocritically included another story that involved two Igbo men in September at the end of the story. Nairalanders can't read anything and comprehend it. Too many uneducated idiiots here, parading themselves as though they are geniuses. No wonder we are where we are! embarassed
Exactly

This is the original report from mail online Australia/dailymail UK
A Nigerian man could be jailed for life for allegedly smuggling $10million worth of ice into Australia inside a gaudy fish statue.

Sydney border force officers found 10kg of the highly addictive drug hidden inside one of three gold-coloured fish statues destined for a residential address in Kaleen, north of Canberra.

Police were alerted and arrested the 32-year-old after he picked up the statues, removed the drugs, and tried to board a bus bound for Sydney on Saturday.
The drug stash, which had been imported from China, was found on the man when he was arrested, police say.

The man, who arrived in Australia in July on a student visa, faces a maximum penalty of life in jail if he's convicted of attempting to possess a commercial quantity of an illegal drug.

The joint operation between ACT Policing and the Australian Federal police began earlier this month, following the Nigerian’s movements to two addresses before the statues were opened.

A search warrant was conducted on a property in Kaleen where similar statues and packaging were found.

Deputy Chief Police Officer Andrea Quinn credits the find to the joint operation between the law enforcement agencies.

“We continue to work closely with our partners to prevent this destructive drug reaching our streets,” Commander Quinn said.
The 32-year-old is due to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3277794/Police-seize-massive-haul-deadly-drug-ice-hidden-ornate-Chinese-fish-statues.html

It was subsequently embelished by PM Nigeria a yoruba owned outfit.

They added this: In September, two Nigerians were similarly arrested in Australia for importing more than 40kg of methamphetamine into the country.

The men were identified as 51-year-old Iwuchukwu Odemegwo and Chibuike Anyasor. The duo concealed the drug inside bar fridges and Jackie Chan-branded DVD players.
which was not in the original report.

Majority of the nitwits jumped to search for names.

QuotaSystem:
What sort of ignorance is this?

We were listed in the first place because of our economic performance ROOTED IN THE HIGH OIL PRICES THAT PREVAILED... was it GEJ that boosted the prices or Buhari that shot them down?

To keep us on that list, GEJ should have exploited the booming prices and surpluses to diversify our economy away from oil and strengthen our foreign reserves to protect the Naira, INSTEAD OF LOOTING and bleeding the excess crude account, foreign reserves and WASTING THE OIL PRICE BOOM (over $100 per barrel).

Countries face economic challenges all over the world all the time (e.g. the recent global recession) but the key is PLANNING and SAVING FOR THE RAINY DAY. Iweala predicted these problems under GEJ while we were still earning surpluses from high oil prices yet nothing was done to prepare.

UAE like Iweala, discovered that it's oil would not sustain it in the estimated future, and they used their excess Petro-dollars to DIVERSIFY into tourism and today they are smiling despite sinking oil prices because tourism was developed, and their leader did not loot with impunity like Jonathan, Diezani and the crew.

GEJ is the real reason we are being delisted.
Oh now you blame it on oil prices.

All i know is that EVERY hardship we are facing is as a result of Buhari's inaction.
Lalasticlala help oh Nigeria is dying.

I once had that car, I know 2 other people that had it too, na one problem after another. it isn't a good ride. even if you comot 1 million naira put for the car, e go chop am finish and more things to fix go still dey. Trust me when I say the car ain't reliable.
Thanks, i already have an alternative and i just want to get it fixed first before doing anything to it.

I do not think the problem lies with the car.
I had used it for 7 years without any problems before i decided to change the timing chain that was when the problem arose.

I think the car's tech is a bit ahead of it's time and our mechanics have a difficult time getting their heads around it.
I can say that was how mine was ruined.
No need blaming the car cause it was very well built and drives well.

spyder880: From the hometown of Spyder880, bad roads never ever done before. We have been neglected by all past and present state administrations. A food basket like Nomeh Unateze is languishing in abject underdevelopment owing to a policy of negligence.

When will the roads from Nara-Mburubu-Nomeh-Nenwe be done. There is zero government presence here. This is Nkanu East local government area. I was in my village earlier today and the story is still the same. Governor Sullivan, please come to our rescue.
This is sad.
I guess this is why some folks still insist that Chime neglected rural development.

Truth be told hardly will you see a road leading to a major community in such a state in Anambra.
Sorry, I just had to make that comparison, I think it is sometimes necessary to borrow a leaf from one another in different aspects that are commendable.
