How much can I make off Amazon KDP? It’s not up to a year ago, I came across a thread of you asking how it works and how you can sign up. Don’t lead me on a mission for fools gold.

StoryHaven:
Major one is Amazon kdp. Get an account and upload your works.
Google other ones. They are plenty.

"Self publishing sites where Nigerians are eligible, "

Some will turn you down but dont relent.

I really wish I could start one for Nigerian and African writers but Ive got lots of other commitments.
Many sites dont give Africans the chance to showcase their books due to discrimination. Sometimes its only South Africa you'll find there.
But just keep trying till you find one.

KDP is sure. And there are lots of threads on Nairaland that teaches on how to set up a KDP account. Find them and study.
LiteratureRe: Nairaland Authors Are You For Real? by eepeepook: 5:03pm On Feb 02
Where are these platforms where I can make money through my stories? I dey wait.

Many stopped writing because moderators repeatedly ban them in addition to the insult of people stealing their stories. Likes and shares feed no one.

StoryHaven:
I've been on this platform for years and I have been seeing young authors post stories. Some are good while some need lots of work on.

I am trying to ask, how comfortable you are to post a story you laboured on for just likes and shares here?

All the stress on editing, proofreading and even making the story make good sense. And you bring it all here just like that?

Have you ever thought of guys stealing your efforts and changing and tweaking them to become theirs, and going ahead to post them on other sites for sales?
If you dont know, it is easier to steal other people's stories these days of AI.

All you just need is to copy such stories chapter by chapter and ask ChatGPT to reform and reframe the story and Gbam! You have your stories rewritten with better grammar and expressions and the intellectual thief gives it another title and he owns it.

Be Smart. Only works you dont cherish you can just throw away like that.

I just can't beat it!

People who didn't write a word on your stories making money out of it while you live on likes and people's praises and shares here. Thats wonderful!

Why spend so much time and resources to just come here to give it away?

Well, life is a choice and you don't tell a billionaire how to spend his money. If he likes, he can give it up for charity. Likewise stories and stuffs.

All the best guys.
I was just curious.
No hard feelings.

God forbid I take this rubbish. I’m sure the human version exists. Trust Africans to catch an innocent person and drown him/her in a drum full of alcohol. Their marketing slogan will be that the solution gives endless stamina, sex drive, wealth, good luck or courage.
HealthRe: See People Complaining About Unavailability of Snake Anti Venom in hospital. by eepeepook: 8:26pm On Feb 01
At this point, people should know how to treat malaria and typhoid themselves. Those are the only two diseases which frustrate Nigerians. Those teaching hospitals also treat fractures and dislocations. Local alternatives are a stiff competition for them, so they are quick to attend to those before the patients move on.

WebmastersRe: Has Technology Quietly Changed Our Daily Routines Without Us Noticing? by eepeepook: 12:56pm On Feb 01
After disturbing us with multiple accounts asking for what Nairaland needs to implement, you’re back with another query.

Tell me, this one follow for your project?

Beebaah:
I’m not talking about big inventions or new gadgets.
I mean the small everyday habits checking phones immediately after waking up, relying on reminders for everything, communicating more through screens than face-to-face.
I’ve been reflecting on how these subtle changes affect productivity, focus, and even relationships over time.
Do you think technology has mostly improved your daily routine, or do you feel it has made life more stressful in subtle ways?

Fake news. I saw videos of her last month and early this year. She didn’t look anything like that. Though I don’t trust the Obamas, black female celebrities aren’t quick to hop on white trends.

TV/MoviesRe: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by eepeepook: 3:11pm On Jan 26
For those who have, what’s the difference between watching a Nigerian movie in the cinema as opposed to doing the same at home? I don’t believe our filmmakers have learned the art of separating both experiences. Till today, we’re yet to make visuals pop in high definition.
TV/MoviesRe: Box Office: Oversabi Aunty Joins The ₦1 Billion Club by eepeepook: 3:09pm On Jan 26
People really watch Nigerian films like this? Impressive. For those who have, what’s the difference between consuming one in the cinema as opposed to doing the same at home?

Cofficial:
The box office has a new billionaire! Toyin Abraham’s 'Oversabi Aunty' has officially shattered the ₦1 Billion mark, solidifying its place as the 4th highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time!

This isn't just a win; it’s a revolution. It officially becomes the FIRST-EVER directorial debut in the history of the industry to join the elite Billion Naira Club.

Toyin Abraham just didn't just break the box office; she shattered a historic glass ceiling that no first-time director in Nollywood has ever touched.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Is Every Young Nigerian Rushing Into Tech? by eepeepook: 2:22pm On Jan 26
Their minds are made up. They don’t come to learn. They come to cement their opinion that whatever is the trend is a waste of time. I’m not going to read this thread. Whoever chooses to will see the conclusion. I have viewed tens of threads in this forum which ended the same way.

The fact that they don't understand doesn't make them “unserious individuals ”; you don't have to be rude while communicating.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Is Every Young Nigerian Rushing Into Tech? by eepeepook: 2:17pm On Jan 26
That is the way the modern world is geared these days. Nobody has time to sit in offices. The Coronavirus lockdown made companies realize they could save money from having workers work from home.

Once I saw op’s alternate account names, I decided to avoid any of his posts. Social media and the internet as a whole was built for unserious human beings to keep being useless. Don’t swim in the mud with swine.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Is Every Young Nigerian Rushing Into Tech? by eepeepook: 11:35am On Jan 26
Wait on the sidelines and watch everyone take mouthwatering job roles. Don’t adapt to times. Keep waiting for opportunities to fall on your lap.

I will always preach it, this forum is full of unserious individuals. You can tell by what they type.

Siberia01:
Everyday i see different advices on twitter encouraging everybody to go learn a tech skill
We graduate about 500,000 young Nigerians every year, imagine all of them going into coding, UI/UX, data analysis etc.. which country will absorb all of them, because definitely no company in Nigeria will absorb 2% of that?

We seriously need jobs in this country
We can't continue adapting .

Is it the fault of the government or the citizens are not learning skills?
RomanceRe: Help! I Think I Have A Serious Problem With Women by eepeepook:
I don't see the problem here. You’re complaining that single women don't like you, however those in relationships do. If you couldn't attract any, I would help. For now, you're doing good.

Kanufootsoldier:
Most Women I approach do reject me I can tell you that 30 years of my life I have only bedded 3 women, not like I am counting but I am just telling you my reality,I think I am average In looks and I am not doing bad financially.no matter how hard I have tried women reject me I try being a bad boy It doesn't work I try being a good boy it still doesn't work, I feel.

Maybe I have a poor personality naturally that is not attractive because from childhood I have being abused and talked down on by both my parents and guardians and it took a toll on my self esteem and confidence even till date.i still struggle with insecurities.

However this is where it gets tricky, most of my friends girlfriend and wives do make advances on me but I avoid them even though it can be very tempting, I don't like betraying my friends even though some of them have betrayed me in the past with women but my conscience wouldnt allow me do such.

Currently a yoruba friend of mine who happens to be a nice friend to me is dating an igbo girl, since this girl knew I am igbo she doesn't let me rest, she will always speak igbo to me and flirt, to avoid trouble I always reply her with English, so my friend will not think I am secretly doing something with her, she doesn't hide it, and she is not the only one, she will view my WhatsApp status anytime I post and comment on them and like the posts, call me bad boy when I post big freaky pix.

I begin to wonder why normal single ladies do not make advances on me like that but ladies in relationships and marriages, lately I am having bad reconsiderations maybe I should start having affairs with these my friends babes because konji is killing me.. embarassed

PoliticsRe: Stella Obasanjo Acquired #1 Billion Worth Of Govt. Houses Through Family Fronts by eepeepook: 7:55am On Jan 25
The usual tale of corruption. Nothing new here.

Olofofo247ng:
In 2005, P.M. News reported that President Olusegun Obasanjo’s wife, Stella, was linked to the acquisition of over ₦1 billion worth of government houses through family fronts.

According to P.M. News:

▶️ The scandal broke after an anonymous document detailing how the houses were sold got to President Obasanjo. The document alleged that due process was ignored and that the exercise was dominated by politically exposed persons, including presidential aides, former generals, governors and ministers.

▶️ Among those listed were Stella’s siblings and relatives:

▶️ Henry Abebe, who allegedly bought a house at 23 Milverton Road, Ikoyi for ₦158.4 million ▶️ Dr. Yemisi Abebe, who got a property at 12 Ikoya Avenue, Ikoyi for ₦80.4 million ▶️ Dr. John Abebe, Stella’s brother-in-law and personal assistant, who acquired 1B Iru Close for ₦64.8 million ▶️ Mrs. Franca Abebe, who paid ₦57.6 million for a house at 7B Maroko Close.

▶️ President Obasanjo cancelled the entire sale. In a strongly worded letter to the Housing Minister, Mrs. Mobolaji Osomo, he said he was “personally embarrassed” that members of his wife’s family appeared on the list. He ordered an immediate cancellation of the exercise, a refund of all payments, and a fresh public sale.

▶️ P.M. News also reported that Vice President Atiku Abubakar was offered the official Vice President’s residence in Ikoyi but declined it.

▶️ The sale was part of a broader policy based on the recommendations of a federal panel led by Brigadier Oluwole Rotimi (rtd.), which had advised the government to dispose of federal properties in Lagos.

▶️ Affected properties included 1004 Flats, Eric Moore Towers, Bar Beach Towers, LEGICO Quarters, Alagbon Towers, Awolowo Road Towers, and others in Ikoyi and Victoria Island.

▶️ When the first phase of sales began in 2004, it was immediately criticised. Tenants protested, civil servants complained, and court cases followed. Despite assurances that occupants would get first choice consideration, many said the houses were sold off cheaply to politically connected buyers.

▶️ One deal cited was the sale of Eric Moore Towers to Dock Management Nigeria Ltd, owned by PDP chieftain Moshood Salvador, for ₦570 million
RomanceRe: Masculine by eepeepook: 7:46am On Jan 25
Mscheew. We’re in 2026. Nairaland pikin don drag us back to 2020. Good to see Sango Ota just entered 2020. The world will return to normal in about six to seven months. The lockdown won’t last forever. Coronavirus will be seen as an infection anyone can catch and be healed from.

PresidentMUGABE:
The primary objective of why Ozo went into BBN house was to emerge as the winner of the reality show.

An instant shift occurred in Ozo's priority when he first set his eyes on Nengi. He chased after her relentlessly and got snubbed by the biracial babe. She wouldn't even let him rock her during their Friday night parties.

The harder Ozo tried to win Nengi's affections, the more rejections he received from her. When he was evicted from the house, he tried to kiss and got rejected by her.

Years later, the Nengi that Ozo was simping over had a baby out of wedlock. A man saw her better suited as his baby mama than his wife.

Ozo and Nengi's story should serve as a cautionary tale to men who love to chase women all over town. A one-time rejection from a woman is enough proof that she isn't interested in you. Walk away from her and seek more fruitful options.

Trying to convince a woman to accept your advances means that you have put her on a pedestal. You can't put a woman on a pedestal without compromising your masculinity.

No obirin is special. She farts loudly and poos like every human. Why should you act like your life is in her hands?

If she doesn't want to wife with , another man will babymama her.
