Christianity Etc › Re: The Book Of Enoch, Why It Did Not Make The Final Cut. by eepeepook: 7:46am On May 11 |
https://www.nairaland.com/8601145/it-finishedKobolanderSegun: The Book Enoch rightly did not make the final cut because as I had expected it had too much Hyperbole.
In the Birth of Noah it talks of Noah being White and Red at the same time
In the Book of Enoch (1 Enoch 106), Noah’s birth is described as a miraculous event involving an appearance so extraordinary that it terrified his father, Lamech. Unlike the standard biblical account, this text portrays Noah as a child born with divine or angelic qualities. According to the text, Noah’s appearance at birth included: Radiant Skin: His body was "white as snow and red as the blooming of a rose". White Hair: The hair on his head was "white like wool" and he was born with "long curls". Glowing Eyes: When he opened his eyes, they were like the rays of the sun and "lighted up the whole house" so that it became exceptionally bright. Early Speech: Immediately after being taken from the midwife's hands, he stood up and began to praise and converse with the Lord of Righteousness.
Lamech’s Reaction and Doubt Upon seeing the child, Lamech was filled with fear and fled to his father, Methuselah. He believed that Noah was not his own son but rather the offspring of the Watchers (fallen angels) because the baby did not resemble a normal human.
To settle the matter, Methuselah traveled to the ends of the earth to speak with his own father, Enoch, who resided with the angels. Enoch confirmed that the child was indeed Lamech's biological son but was born with this appearance as a sign of his future mission to preserve righteousness during the coming flood.
In 1 Enoch 106, the birth of Noah is described as a miraculous event that was so extraordinary it caused his father, Lamech, to fear the child was not human. This account, often called the "Fragment of the Book of Noah," portrays Noah as a "wonder-child" with divine characteristics.
Physical Appearance at Birth According to the text, Noah’s appearance was radically different from his family: Radiant Skin: His body was "white as snow and red as the blooming of a rose". Luminous Eyes: When he opened his eyes, they were like the rays of the sun and "lighted up the whole house". Angelic Hair: He was born with hair as "white as wool" and long, beautiful curls. Early Speech: Immediately after being born, he stood up in the hands of the midwife and conversed with the Lord of Righteousness
Lamech’s Fear of the "Watchers" Lamech was terrified by Noah's appearance, believing the child resembled the sons of the God of heaven (the fallen angels or Watchers) rather than a human. He fled to his father, Methuselah, fearing he had been cuckolded by an angel.
Miraculous Effects of His Birth Some traditions linked to these texts suggest that Noah’s birth also brought physical changes to the world, such as the cessation of a curse on the ground that caused oats to grow instead of wheat, and the containment of the sea, which had previously flooded the land twice daily.
The Book of Enoch seems to be so attracted to visual s from Different levels of heaven and what Jesus looked like in heaven.
But I think it's the portrayal of Noah as a divine being that raises the most questions. Other Scripture place Noah to be a man and there is no record of what Noah looked like. One thing that is standard in the bible is the lack of discription of Biblical characters.
The fact that the book of Enoch says light came from Noah's eyes raises even more questions about the verification of the accounts in the book.
The Book of Enoch paints Noah as a savior of some sort while the Bible paints Noah as a righteous man
I can now see why the book of Enoch did not make the final cut. Too much Hyperbole. |
Nairaland General › Re: My Vulcanizer Uses iphone 12 And Is Always Begging Me For Money by eepeepook: 7:46am On May 11 |
https://www.nairaland.com/8601145/it-finishedKobolanderSegun: Naija men are really trying. They will buy iphone 12 to feel among then they will start begging people for soft drinks, bread, ground nut.
Despite my spending close to 5 years always showing my Vulcanizer how I am surviving in Nigeria by being low budget he does not listen and continues to spend his money anyhow then start begging me when he sees me on the road .
The other day I showed him a phone I bought way back in 2010 which I still use till this day. I tell him the reason why it always seems like I have money is because I spend my money very slowly.
I have clothes that are 20 years old which I still wear. Even though I'm into fashion I have clothes from back in the day. When my father died I inherited all his clothes some of the clothes go back to 1990.
Don't worry my father was very fashion conscious and the clothes are still very much in style and are of very good quality. My father travelled to 65 countries of which 22 were African Countries so his sense of style was top notch .
I keep on telling my mates in my Estate to save their money and adopt better maintaince culture so that things can really last and they save money but it all falls on deaf ears.
If you are in your twenties it's ok to live life fast but once you enter 40 you need to slow down.
Anyway when my Vulcanizer was begging today I bought him N100 biscuits, the lady of the shop said I should not have bought him anything that they will save their money and be pretending that they do not have. How someone is using a N250k iphone with another 100k android phone is begging is beyond me. |

You go explain tire. EponObi: See the contradictions in your comment.
1. "It depends on the gravity of her offence." Meaning you don't even know what lead to that panel beating. You also assume there is any level of gravity, without knowing if she even did anything.
2. "It's just to reset her brain." For someone who said they don't know her offence, you are now saying it's just to correct her brain.
This is pathetic.
In other words, you are justifying what the dad did, whether the lady even offended him or not, no matter the level of gravity.
I hope you guys no dey beat una wives and girlfriends at home, because what's the cause of all these low level thinking processes.
The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs should take over this case ASAP.
I'm sensing that Ilebaye is still living with her dad. If na her husband reconstruct her face like that, what will the dad and brothers do self? Dem go support and join the husband? Even you wey dey comment, you fit allow your sister's husband beat her like this?
I won't be shocked if it later come out that the reason this happened was over something mundane. Walahi, e fit be because of food.
An adult lady like this una dey find justification. No matter what she did, she is a f adult. If her offense is that serious, why not arrest her? That girl on X wey do live adult content which she called digital creation, wey her father told to stop, whom she later set for drags online - did you see the dad panel beat her? That's a sane man understanding that she's an adult and there's little he can about her choice. He stepped back and dissociated from her. I seriously doubt Ilebaye did anything of such gravity. |
Celebrities › Re: Ilebaye Odiniya Allegedly Beaten By Her Father (Video) by eepeepook: 5:04pm On May 10 |
Her father must’ve told her, “Go and marry. Go and marry.” She didn’t listen. The man finally descended on her so an online simp will “save her” by putting her in the family way. |

Romance › Re: They Have Used Sir Sir To Block My Advances by eepeepook: 5:04pm On May 06 |
He has come again with another story. Livingiconrebor, guobe, sirchiboy, come and take your cousin. Kalulu44: Good day ladies and gentlemen of the great NL house! Before I go into the main gist. I want to first apologize to those who thinks I write stories too much and they're sometimes long and boring to them. Let me introduce myself first. I'm a single father of 3 who lost his Benin wife to their Japa syndrome since 2010 and never seen or heard from till today. By God's grace, after 20yrs of driving commercially to survive and train the kids, I formally retired last year. Not bcus the job wasn't lucrative, but bcus I was warned to stop after having some series of severe back pain, neck pain and leg pain. Thankfully, before retiring I managed to win over a hired purchased bus that's fending for my 3 kids who are staying with my aunt who at 60+ doesn't have a husband nor a child. Not wanting to stay idle, I currently work as a security personnel at a Guest House from 7pm to 11pm, while taking care of the owners house which is just beside it during the day. The owner is in US. So I practically stay in the big house all alone. Honestly there's no much work for me to do there other than weeding and cleaning the compound once every week. The rest of the day is just for eating, browsing and sleeping. Not wanting to be lonely and depressed is why I am almost online everyday, writing stories and gossips about my surroundings. Like I always said, 90 to 95% of my stories are real life stories with the other percents like adding maggi, salt and spices to make it sweet or interesting. I love writing, reading, driving, music, movies, sports especially football and watching documentary on history and biographies. . Now to the main gist. I lived and work in an area fully surrounded by hostels occupied by students and youths working in Chinese companies in Ogun state. Electricity in the area is epileptic and comes once every week. Luckily for me, due to the guest house, I have 24/7 light from either solar or generator which makes water abundance for me. But the students and workers are not that lucky. So majority of them always looks for where to charge their phone and also gets water. When lights come, they normally pump water in their hostels, but it doesn't last more than two days. Like two to three compounds normally used generator to pump water where they always go to. Sometimes the owners of those places allows them, sometimes they rejecting them. Another only source of water in the street is a well at the extreme end of the street, it's stressful for some of them. . I started working where I am now January this year, but I always stay on my own and just observing the students and workers. For me to make friends with some of them, I started getting water for some of them that usually greets me. If I see they have walked and walked looking for water and didn't see, I will just tell the person to drop his bucket and then go inside and get water from them. But anytime I do this, they always thank me with sir sir. One among them, who was learning hairdresser and selling men clothes online, approached me one day and begged for her to use my compound to make videos of her clothes. I obliged her and ever since then which was February, we have been friends. . With time I began to like her, but her constant good morning sir, good evening sir just like the other girls used to greet me always discouraged me from telling her my mind about her. After Easter my phone got spoilt and for close to 3 weeks I didn't have chance to go to Lagos and repair it. And it was the time my feelings for her became strong. I didn't know how to approach her, so I used the opportunity of her giving me her phone to charge for her to write down my feelings for her on a sheet of paper and attached it at the back of her phone. . When it was time to collect it, I told her there's a note I attached in her phone that she should read it. She collected it, thank me and bade me goodnight sir while bowing down a little as a Yoruba girl she's. Hoping to get answer the next day, even though I was apprehensive on how she will take or react about it. My people, this is 3 weeks now since I wrote that letter and she hasn't said anything or confronted me on why I wrote such notes. But we have been greeting and talking to each other since the next day after the note till date, and both of us pretending such never happened. I said to myself once I repair my phone, I will send her a msg asking what she thought about my note and why hasn't she replied. I got my done last week, and I still don't have the courage to ask her both in person or thru msg. . But there's a reason why I haven't. In between those times my phone was still spoilt and the note sent to her. There was an electrician who came to do some repairs in my compound sent by my boss. It was same time she too came to do videos of her clothes in my compound. The electrician told me he like her that I should run her for him. I told him I can't that he should go himself. So he used the guise of wanting to buy her clothes and approached her. I sha know they exchanged numbers. This was 2 weeks ago, so last week when the electrician came to finish his work, he ask me of her. I told him I thought you collected his number the other day. He said he did, and that he has bought clothes of 30k from her. But that when he tries to pushed further about dating her, she told him she has a guy. . Hmmmm.... I heave to myself and asked him his next line of action. He said he'll pushed further. I just mutter the words ok o. So since that last week, hearing she has a serious guy, (even though she hasn't brought any guy home or any man came looking for her unlike some of the other girls) It just makes my resolve of asking her what she thinks about my note weak. But we do see and talk everyday, but her constant "es'e sir, ekaro sir" always puts me off. I don't know if she's deliberately doing that so I will know she respects me as an elderly person. By the way she's 28 while I'm in my early 40s. . To the other girls, I am getting closer to some of them. But they too wants to kill me with sir sir sir, and thereby knocking me off of asking any of them out. All these is bcus one of my child a girl who's 17 came to visit me one day. But the truth is I am seriously lonely, bored and depressed at times. If not for NAIRALAND and Sportsnews and YouTube, only God knows what I would have done to myself. I really need one of them as an acquaintance and if it can lead to a serious relationship, I am ready for it. Just that I don't know how to go about it with the over respect they're according me. . So I am asking for womanology experts who knows how to go about this to give me some tips. The pictures attached to this post are mine, am I too old in the true sense of it or what. Cus physically I look young and agile to most of the guys I see some of them hang around with and I am not mincing words here. I will welcome any thoughts from you all, both insults and good advice. After all I made the post to get engagement and discussion to kill off boredom. Thanks and good day to you all once again. |

I can’t frustrate myself with any idiot female. If I ever get in this situation again (impossible since my 20s was more than a decade ago), I will: 1. Give her intimacy so good that she will lose guard one day and complete the deed. If you guys kiss and she allows you suck her tips, she’s enjoying it. Lengthen the time you spend on performing these acts and she will submit. I would have “tongued her out” on our third attempt. I must penetrate those thighs with something. 2. Find another female willing to go through the parts she isn’t giving you. You may eventually lose interest and replace her with the new catch. If you don’t want to go through the hassle, start paying oloshos. I remember men doing so during university years. They were dating very beautiful women who never satisfied all their needs. They couldn’t cut the women off because having them around was a status boost when viewed by other men. 3. Exercise while wearing boxers. That works for me all the time — even with females I do not like. Something about perspiring from press-ups while the sweat flows from your chest to your boxers raises those tips and get her ready for action. heartbraker: I met a girl through a friend and we’ve been seeing each other for a short while now. She has come to my place a few times, and when we’re together there is clear physical attraction and comfort (kissing, cuddling, SUCK BREAST etc.).
However, things haven’t progressed to sex yet. It feels like there is interest, but at the same time she hasn’t fully taken it further, and I don’t want to push or make her uncomfortable
My question is: In a situation like this, how do you usually handle progression naturally without forcing it or overthinking? And how do you know if it’s just slow pace vs lack of full interest?
I’m trying to be respectful but also not misread the situation.
