Good day mamas
For those that use softcare diaper, what is the difference between the white and blue package and which of them is the best?

White is the best. We've used the two, but I prefer white

Ladyj2015:
Please mommas in the house come to my aid,

I'm team_March30th_2024

This is just my first trimester (8weeks precisely)
But since my 5th week till date, it have been hell for me.
I have serious loss of appetite(I don't crave for anything), small smell + small food I'll manage to eat- I'll be triggered to vomit, I cannot enter my kitchen anymore. My stomach is always empty, making me always tired and exhausted, I have become more thinner than I used to be. Sometimes I feel like crying like a baby. Why is my own like this?

I visited the DH during my 6th week(Tho I didn't come for antenatal registration yet, I told him I would register during my second trimester just as my mum advices). he ran some test and Scan on me saying that my pregg is Normal and I shouldn't take any medication till my second trimester because I wasn't running temperature tho. I agreed with him then and I just drank a destrose saline dripe with B-co inj.

I have hoped to see all these symptoms pass by soon but it isn't improving instead it's getting worse everyday. I wakes up very late in the morning, tired+ and it's affecting my business recently. Thank God for a supportive hubby tho

Please anyone who has experienced this, help a sis.
What can I do?
For the sake of me and my unborn child's health.
I don't want to be a loser

Can i always take Oral dripe?

I totally understand what you feel like because I had severe vomiting and nausea too when I was pregnant with my daughter. Even if it's water I drink, I must vomit.

Is there any food at all that you can stomach. Stick to it. Aim at getting at least a few bites. Don't eat to bellefull at a go, it will end in vomiting. Eat small small amounts of food at a time.

Keep crackers by your side, so that once you wake up it's the first thing you eat before you leave your bed. The perfect crackers is soda crackers. Chewing ginger or licking ginger sweet or menthol sweet helps too

ORS is good but don't overdo it. But if you can always drink enough water, it's perfect.

You should be taking folic acid, 1 daily, it's important for the baby. And it's easy to take because it's tiny, and you chew it.

By the time you get to 12weeks, the vomiting will stop or reduce, hopefully.

Just hold on, it will get better, trust me.

Good evening mamas in the house.
My baby just clocked 9 months but she hasn't started crawling. Though she sits up easily by herself and she get on all fours and rocks back and forth but not actively crawling yet. Everyone says she's supposed to have started crawling by now.
How do I help her to start crawling. I want her to start walking by at least 1 year.

For me, I believe your baby will crawl when she is ready. Especially if she's your first child, and there aren't other kids for her to play with.

My baby crawled at 10months plus and walked at 1year plus. She will be fine

Hello mamas, it’s been a while here. My DD is 2 now and I’m pregnant for my second. I’ve been trying to potty train her since last week and she seemed to be getting it but today we’re back to square 1.

I’ve been using the gentle parenting technique but it’s not working, please I just want to know if it’s possible to successfully potty train a child without some screaming and spanking as I don’t want to resort to that. Thanks

You will need a lot of patience. Sew patience like cloth and wear cheesy

Hope her potty is at a strategic place that is also easily accessible to her. The beginning stages are always hard but with time, she will start getting a hang of it.

Good day mamas, my 2 years old son always bleeds when brushing his teeth. Is it advisable to use foam or cotton wool instead of brush?

Have you tried changing toothpaste? Maybe he is reacting to a particular brand. Softer brush too.

If he still bleeds then you can go for all these silicon brushes or those small small finger brushes used for younger babies

My 2 years baby stopped eating food and she is looking very lean and skinny now , she is not sick and she is very active , please help me on what to do. Her weight have reduced very well.

Try smoothies and see if she'll accept. Then give her weight gain smoothies.

Banana, yoghurt, avocado, peanut butter and others. You can Google weight gain smoothies to see different options.

That was my saving grace when my 2years old foodie started rejecting food

Good afternoon mummy's in the house, please I have a question,my two months baby boy is having dandruff on his head, they are much especially if you're combing the hair you will see them coming out,I always wash the hair and am putting baby oil after bath and if I want to dress him for sleep, but no improvement. I started applying olive oil for like a month now but still no improvement,he is the hair type so I Barb his hair like 3times from birth till date, but locally made by this traditional barber's.please any one with advise no matter how little it will help.

It's not dandruff. When you wash his hair make sure you thoroughly rinse out the soap/baby shampoo, and don't use soap on his hair everyday. Rather, use like once or twice a week, then other days wash the hair with just water. Also go easy on the oil you apply on his hair. If possible, coconut oil is best, and use moderately.

For now, wet/lather his hair, then gently comb out the flakes. Or apply a generous amount of oil on the affected area, gently comb out, the flakes will be coming off(do this before giving him a bath)

Yes, I sometimes use shea butter also. But I use shea butter as body cream for my baby also and I notice how the skin got darker overtime. Do you think it could be cause of the shea butter? I use less shea butter on my baby’s face and more on the body and the face is a bit lighter than the body.

I guess so, some babies react that way to Shea butter

So I haven’t been oiling my baby’s hair for a while cause of heat. But I’ve been told it will make the hair became coarse. Is that true? Though I sometimes use shea butter on it. What do you mamas recommend??

Personally, I prefer Shea butter. It's been serving us we'll for long now. And it detangles and keeps her hair soft

Good morning wonderful mamas pls o help me.My Ds is 8weeks today and for some days now I noticed that each time I comb his hair after bath I see brown stuff on the comb, then I parted the hair and saw brown stuff on some part of the hair like dandruff ,I Google it and I saw cradle cap. pls who has dealt with this and what did u do to clear it .for now I just keep combing the hair so that the stuff can come onto the comb, pls don't read and pass if u have dealt with this before o and thanks in advance.

Babies with lots of hair mostly experience this. It's sweat, mixed with soap residue. Always make sure you rinse out his hair totally during bath.

You might also consider using baby shampoo instead of Normal soap for washing his hair.

Also, limit the number of times you use soap/shampoo in a week. Instead of everyday, use shampoo once a week, then other days, just wash the hair with only water.

And to comb out the flakes, soak the affected part with enough oil, leave for a while, then gently comb it out. When you've finally gotten rid of the flaky scalp, stop using too much oil on the hair.

Hello Mama's, please I need advice on how to go about still exclusively breastfeeding my baby once my maternity leave end. Baby is almost 3 month and in about 2 weeks I have to go back to work and she has been on only breast milk. Would still want to continue it till she is 6 months. She will be starting daycare once I resume, please I need advice from experienced Mama's on how to package the breast milk for her till I pick her up from the daycare.

Get milk storage bags and bottles, bottle warmer. Thermal bags and there's this blue thing you pour water inside and freeze, then put in thermal bags when packing the stored milk.

Basically, you pump, label and freeze . When you're packing baby's bag for creche, pack the frozen breast milk into the thermal bag. Then instruct the carers to warm using the bottle warmer before feeding baby. Or just warm by placing bottle into warm/hot water.

Good evening mama's
I love the few things I've read on this platform, I just joined tho.
Please o I have a question, my baby is almost 15months and my Tommy still looks like that of 3 months pregnancy. I really wish to get rid of 10inches from what I'm seeing . Is it possible and how can I go about it please.

Try intermittent fasting, then exercise, you will definitely see a difference

Mama Tomblessings, with time your tummy will go down. I'm a CS Mama too. Once your site is totally healed, and your doctor gives a go ahead, you can start using waist trainers/tummy belts, and other shapewears.

Start with light exercises. Taking walks helps greatly. My tummy is almost as flat as it was pre pregnancy, even though I didn't get the chance to use the gym, Trekking and intermittent fasting helped a lot

my dear mama I am going through everything you just typed.. like exactly.
I am still trying ooo though he isn't interested atall in the bress but I still force it in his mouth, lol sometimes he will just clip his lip on it but he won't suck.. he eats alot so I'm pumping almost through out the day. I just hope that mine also later change and start loving it like yours... Cos I miss the joy of seeing my baby feed from me cry now that his penis is sour sheybi that's suppose to be his comfort, but no, feeder is his comfort.

Mama, have you tried massaging your boobs while he is on them? Like pressing from up to down, so the milk drops without him sucking much. It will mimic the speed which bottles let down milk, and encourage him to stay longer, nursing.

It worked with my baby

Balloon glue for easily sticking your balloons to walls, roofs and other surfaces.

You don't have to use cellotapes or other things, that leave marks on walls after removal. This glue peels off without leaving any sign.

How to use:
Cut off the paper size of the glue you want to use. Avoid touching the glue directly with your finger. Hold the paper and press the glue onto the balloon, then gently peel off the paper. And you're good to go. Just stick it to any surface you want it to stay on.

Scroll to see pictorial instructions and pictures of how it turns out.

There are a lot of craft ideas you can start with little capital, but let's look at these 5. (We will talk about more later)

All you need is to get the right tools, take some courses (you can always start with free courses), check YouTube and Pinterest for ideas, and you're good to go.

In the case of resin art and crafts. Before you go into it, ensure you read up on the necessary precautions and risk factors involved. There are a lot of beautiful pieces you can create from Resins.

We are about to end the month, and enter a new month. Make this coming month your money month. Your month of increasing your income.

I am rooting for you.

If you found this helpful, feel free to save for future reference.

Wish you the best

Good evening house, please am a ftm. My left breast was full, I expressed some and baby sucked too but since 3 days a part of the breast is strong. Unlike before that it drips when am giving the baby the right side, it doesn't anymore but there is milk in it. What can i do to unblock so i can have free flow of milk.
I have been massaging with hot water but no improvement.

Have a hot bath, then pour some hot water on a diaper - not so hot as to scald the skin, place on the affected breast, it will help

Then pump again, while massaging it...I can imagine the pain, sorry

Good morning.
Please my breast milk supply is very low. what can I take to boost it up. when I express both breast produce not more than 120 ml at the highest and nothing when I try to express again in like 3 hours. Twins getting less interested in sucking due to low supply.
Thanks.

Oats, pap, water (lots of water). Drinking water just before I pump also helped. Reach out to livialactationtreats on IG for lactation cookies and the rest, her products are very effective. She is a Nairaland Mama...Rofemiguwa

Also breastfeed frequently, the more you nurse, the more breastmilk you produce.

Then try not to stress about it a lot.

There will definitely be an improvement.
