''our children has been at home now for the past 5month'' of course that don't include your own biological children, probably studying abroad. everything has its end. let just hope you don't spend the rest of you life wishing you would have done this or that when you were in power.

The problem I have with Nigerians is that we tend to take everything as joke. news like this troubles me. I don't know where we are going and I am starting to forget where I am coming from too....all we are subjected to here in this country is pain upon pain....I weep for my country. God please give us the strength to fight and demand our right.

Nairaland / General / Re: Striking Down Rule 17 by efe2000: 11:19am On May 09, 2013
Seun: Fellow Nairaland Members,

Your outrage over the unfair appearance of rule 17 has been noted, and so I have decided to strike it down!

Thank you for correcting me and setting me straight. We certainly need to be fair to every religion.

Best Regards,
Seun Osewa.
Chairman Sir, do ou not think that rule 21 discriminates against those who are not as educated as your humble self, are you by any means saying that those who cant spell correctly should not visit or use nairaland. incase you don't know sir even the so called English people whose land I currently live in struggle with spellings. in my opinion Sir I do not think your rule 21 is fair. I am sure I don't sound like an illiterate to you but I am also sure that if you read through my comment here you might come across some spelling error. does that mean i should desist from posting on here.

I beg you to reconsider your stand on this. God luck.

MY DRIVE IS DERIVE FROM MY LOVE FOR HEALTHY FOOD AND APART FROM MAXIMISING PROFIT, I WANT TO ALSO PROVIDE PEOPLE THE CHOICE OF HEALTHY OPTIONS (LOW FAT FOOD)

A FOOD IS NOT GOOD WHEN IT LACKS THE NECESSARY NUTRIENT AND WHAT I AM TO DO IS TO PROVIDE THREE MAIN COURSE FOR A FIXED PRICE. AND I WILL BE SELLING STUFF LIKE.

SOME FOOD I HAVE IN MIND ARE

OUR TRADITIONAL RICE AND STEW,JOLLOF RICE,FRIED RICE,POUNDED YAM AND OPTIONS OF DIFFERET KIND OF SOUPS, PEPPER SOUP, AKARA AND AKAMU, BREAD AND BEANS, AND SOME CHEF SPECIAL FOOD ONLY AVAILABLE IN MY RESTAURANT.

PLEASE SUGGEST MORE FOOD TO ME AND WHAT YOU WOULD LOVE TO SEE IN MY MENU IF YOU WERE TO COME INTO MY RESTAURAND AND DESCRIBE WHAT SORT OF RESTAURANT YOU WILL LIKE TO SEE(AMBIENCE, ENTERTAINMENT, E.T.C.

HERE IS MY QUEST.

1. IS THERE ANY KIND OF FOOD YOU WOULD LOVE TO SEE IN NIGERIA RESTAURANTS MENU THAT ISNT ALREADY THERE? PLEASE SUGGEST(THANK YOU)

2. WHAT SORT OF ENTERTAINMENT, WOULD YOU LOVE TO SEE IN A RESTAURANT.

3. PLEASE SUGGEST ANY IDEAS THAT WILL HELP ME DRIVE CUSTOMERS TO MY RESTAURANT.

4. I AM THINKING OF DOING HOME DELIVERY FOR A SMALL FEE, YOU CAN ALSO ORDER FOOD ON PHONES AND E-MAIL AND PICK UP WITHIN AN AGREED TIME. DO YOU THINK THIS IS A GOOD IDEA AS IT WILL BE THE FIRST RESTAURANTIN BENIN TO DO THIS.

THANK YOU SO MUCH AS YOU HELP A BROTHER IN NEED. LIKE THE SAYING GOES NOT TO BE INFORMED IS TO BE DEFORMED AND I DO HOPE YOU CAN HELP WITH SOME USEFUL INFORMATION.

LocalChamp: Anti-Corruption Activist Provides Photos Of Mansion Built For Minister Orubebe In Abuja

Posted: November 2, 2012 - 14:13

By SaharaReporters, New York
An anti- corruption watchdog group, Anti-Corruption Network, led by former house member Dino Melaye today provided photos of a residence it claimed was built for Nigeria's minister of the Niger Delta ministry, Elder Godsday orubebe in the Mabushi area of Abuja.

Mr. Dino stated that a construction company Setraco built and delivered the new mansion to Mr. Orubebe in less than six months after the company benefitted from contracts to build part of the East-West highway in the Delta region.

The photos taken by the group shows a mansion located on Minister's Hill area, Mabushi Abuja. Dino told Saharareporters that the offices of the group was burgled by unknown person after it revealed that Mr. Orubebe was involved in other scams totalling N29 billion in ficticious contracts.

Health / Re: Fashola Urges Lagosians To Walk Rather Than Drive Whenever Possible by efe2000: 5:31pm On Oct 17, 2012
Can he please practice what he preach
jidsoon: RATHER than drive to the shop, club, church or mosque or wherever else that is not distant, the Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola is urging Lagosians to walk instead and reap numerous benefits doing so.

Such benefits include saving on fuel costs, reducing the polluting emissions into the atmosphere and improvement in general health, lowering blood pressure and improving the heart condition and mental health.

The governor, who was represented by his Special Adviser on the Environment, Dr. Taofeek Folami, spoke on Saturday at the 2012 Walk for Nature organized by the Ministry of the Environment in collaboration with the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) with the theme: Sustainable Energy for Us All, which was held at State House, Marina, Lagos.

He said the energy consumption pattern at present was not sustainable and that since the transport sector was a major contributor to the depletion of the ozone layer and thus climate change and its devastating consequences across the world, walking on short journeys becomes a delightful alternative.

“Walking as a natural exercise endears us to nature, it gets us close to God and helps our body’, Fashola said.

The President Nigerian Conservation Foundation said the theme for the 2012 Walk for Nature was instructive, especially now that Nigeria cannot afford to sit-on-the-fence on the issue of global warming.

He commended the Lagos State government’s greening programme and called for the utilization of eco-friendly and renewable energy resources, such as solar energy which can be popularized as is happening in many parts of the world for the benefit of Nigerians.

Earlier, the Commissioner for the Environment represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Adebola Afun had also urged Lagosians to walk rather than driv, even as he noted that the construction of walkways on all major roads was an invitation to people in the metropolis, to, as much as possible, walk rather than drive.
