FoodNutritional Value Of Eating Palm Tree Worms by efogator(op): 7:44pm On Feb 05, 2021
If you grew up in a typical African Society, you will agree with me when I say that Palm tree worms otherwise called Sago worms are highly desired delicacies. These little worms are usually gotten from palm trees hence the traditionally coined name Palm Tree worms.

In some african societies, Nigeria to be precise most people use this particular worm notwithstanding it's appearance to prepare wonderful dishes. It is either boiled, roasted or eating raw by some people but the most surprising aspect is that this worm comes with a number of health benefits.

A first glance at it might make you want to vomit but after tasting it, there is no way you won't want to have more. I have tasted it a couple of times and I must confess that sometimes it tastes better than the fish and meat we use for preparing food.

That aside though, the main aim of writing this article is to have a look at some facts about this little worm and why it is totally safe for consumption.

Sago Worms are developmental stage of Red palm weevils. They are either gotten from a decaying palm tree or coconut tree and a popular traditional food for most developing countries of the world.

In Africa, Nigeria to be precise it is seen as a major source of protein and meat in rural areas and also some source of income for some individuals that harvest and sell it. These worms look dirty but are actually very safe and nutritious to consume, below are some of its nutritious contents.

Nutritional value of Eating Sago Worms includes:

1. Sago worms according to research are equivalent to eggs when it comes to protein.

2. It also contains amino acids, ash, oil and energy. Some other research shows that eating sago worms regularly can increase the magnesium, zinc, iron, lipid, dietary fiber and carbohydrate in the body. So it's totally advisable to consume it if it's within your reach.

So, if you are privileged to eat the palm tree worms, don't hesitate to grab a bite because it's also very delicious.

RomanceTop 14 Benefits Of Orgasm To The Women by efogator(op):
The benefits of orgasms are crazy: Not only can they help you sleep better, orgasms can also boost your immunity, promote bone health, and clear your skin—and that's just a few of their benefits.

"The brain manufactures and releases substances called neurotransmitters and neuropeptides during sexual stimulation and orgasm. These substances are wonderful for your overall physical and emotional wellbeing. They can reduce stress, improve sleep, enhance immunity, and boost mood," explains Nan Wise, a certified sex therapist, neuroscientist, author of Why Good Sex Matters and Glamour's sex column Ask Dr. Nan.

Better mood, better sleep, and a better immune system? If there was ever a time we needed to reap the benefits of orgasms, it's now. Here's exactly what you stand to gain from prioritizing your pleasure.

Clearly, we don't need to convince you to have sex. It's hard-wired into our brains to propagate the species. And anyway, it feels pretty awesome. But here's more good news: Having an orgasm could help improve your health.

One of the main reasons orgasm feels so good is because your brain releases the pleasure hormone oxytocin when you climax. Oxytocin is also called the "love hormone" because of its important role in facilitating social bonding between humans. Most of the following points revolve around the release of oxytocin. Read on to discover eleven ways achieving an orgasm can make your life so much better...

1. Orgasms relieve stress.

In sexologist Beverly Whipple's book, "The Orgasms Answer Guide," she cites a study done by Carol Rinkleib Ellison in 2000, in which Ellison interviewed 2,632 women between the ages of 23 and 90 and found that 39 percent of those who masturbate reported that they do it in order to relax. Whipple says this is all because of oxytocin. When someone orgasms, she explains in her book, "the hormone oxytocin is released from nerve cells in the hypothalamus (a region of the brain) into the bloodstream."

"Orgasm relives tension as oxytocin stimulates feelings of warmth and relaxation," Ellison herself wrote in an informational report compiled by Planned Parenthood.

Additionally, research gathered in a study by scientists at Groningen University in the Netherlands found that when women experience an orgasm, the amygdala, the part of the brain associated with fear and anxiety, shows little to no activity.

2. Orgasms can increase body confidence.

Having orgasms can actually help you feel better about your body. "When we focus on how much pleasure our bodies can give us, we can learn to associate being in our bodies with pleasure," says Wise. "The women who were courageous enough to participate in my orgasm studies reported that getting more comfortable with their bodies was a big factor in their enjoying their sex lives more fully."

The best part is that the more sex the women in Wise's study had, the better they felt about their bodies and the more sex they wanted to have.

3. Orgasms promotes healthy sleep

Having a good time in the sheets helps you fall asleep when you get between them. Better sleep is, in fact, one of the biggest health benefits of sex. Here's why: the post-sex rush of the hormone prolactin helps you doze off quicker, and the oxytocin and vasopressin that orgasms release make you sleep more soundly.

HealthRhogam Shot For Rh-negative Moms During Pregnancy by efogator(op): 8:24am On Jan 27, 2021
If you’re a pregnant mom who is Rh negative, you may be given the RhoGAM shot. Learn more about what this shot is and if and when you might need it when pregnant.

Did your initial round of prenatal bloodwork reveal that you’re Rh negative? That could mean that you and your baby are Rh incompatible. In that caseyour doctor may suggest a shot of Rh immunoglobulin, commonly known in the US by the brand name RhoGAM, during pregnancy and after delivery.

While the term “Rh incompatibility” may sound serious, the treatment is simple and low risk. Here’s what to expect if you need a RhoGAM shot.

What is the Rh factor?

If you’ve ever gotten a blood test or given blood, you probably noticed the “+” or “–” at the end of your blood type. This symbol indicates whether or not the Rh factor is in your bloodstream (O+ blood, for instance, has the Rh factor, while O- blood does not).
Rh factor is a type of protein, or antigen, often found on the surface of red blood cells, which carry oxygen throughout the body. But not everyone has it. If you carry the protein, you’re Rh positive. If you don’t, you’re Rh negative.

Not many people are Rh negative. Negative Rh factor occurs in around 15 percent of white people and between 4 percent and 8 percent of black people. In Asian people, the chances of being Rh negative are only around .3 percent.

Whether you’re Rh positive or negative doesn’t matter much, except when it comes to pregnancy. Being Rh negative if your baby is Rh positive could lead to complications and newborn health problems. The good news is that the problem is easy to treat with a RhoGAM shot.

What is Rh incompatibility?

Rh incompatibility happens when an expecting mom is Rh negative and her baby is Rh positive. If your baby’s blood comes into contact with yours during pregnancy or delivery, your body can build antibodies against the Rh factor, which can lead to complications in later pregnancies.

5 FAQs Moms Have About Prenatal Testing

What is RhoGAM?

RhoGAM is the injection used to treat Rh incompatibility during pregnancy.
The shot contains antibodies (collected from plasma donors) that stop your immune system from reacting to your baby’s Rh positive blood cells. In other words, it keeps you and your baby’s Rh incompatibility from causing any possible problems, should your blood types mix at any point during your pregnancy or delivery.

Like other shots, RhoGAM is injected into your arm or backside.

Do I need the RhoGAM shot during pregnancy?

Your doctor will test your Rh factor early on in pregnancy; if you’re negative, he’ll also test your partner. If your partner is Rh-positive, your doctor will recommend you get the RhoGAM shot.
Getting a RhoGAM shot is the best way to prevent any possible complications from Rh incompatibility. It protect your baby’s red blood cells from being attacked if her blood comes in contact with yours during labor and delivery, as well as prevents Rh-related complications from happening in later pregnancies.

Speaking of later pregnancies, if you’re Rh negative, it’s important to get the RhoGAM shot with each baby unless your provider says otherwise. (If it’s determined that your baby is Rh-negative too, you won’t need the shot.)

If you test Rh-positive, the shot isn't necessary.

When should I get the RhoGAM shot?

If your doctor determines that you and your baby may be Rh-incompatible, you’ll get a shot of Rhogam when you’re between 26 and 28 weeks pregnant and then again within 72 hours after delivery to ensure that future pregnancies are as safe as the first.
If you undergo chorionic villus sampling (CVS) or amniocentesis, or if you experience bleeding during pregnancy or any trauma where you could be exposed to fetal cells, your doctor may give you the RhoGAM shot at another point in your pregnancy.

Do I need a RhoGAM shot after a miscarriage or chemical pregnancy?

The RhoGAM shot is a preventative measure against any time a fetus’ blood supply comes into contact with yours, which can happen if you have a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy — which is why your doctor may suggest a getting one if you test Rh-negative. You won’t, however, need a RhoGAM shot after a chemical pregnancy.

Are there side effects or risks of the RhoGAM shot?

1 You’re consuming too much sugar and you don’t realize it.

While your favorite grocery store foods may seem like they're healthy—with deceiving labels like "reduced free" and "natural flavors"—those pantry staples may be hiding more sugar than you realize. According to the The American Heart Association, the average adult should only have about 25 grams (women) or 37.5 grams (men) of sugar a day, which equals out to about 6 to 9 teaspoons. But the average amount Americans actually have is around 22.2 teaspoons, and according to a study published by the JAMA Internal Medicine, an increased amount of sugar on your diet can cause a higher risk of dying from a cardiovascular disease.

Nairaland GeneralThis Man Made Lt. Gen Tukur Buratai Cry In Public by efogator(op): 7:36pm On Jan 15, 2021
Today the 15th of January is known as the Armed Forces Remembrance Day. Is a day set aside for the commemoration of servicemen of the Nigerian Armed Forces. A day to remember our fallen heroes who died in service to their nation.

But there is a fallen hero that the Nigerian Army cannot forget in a hurry, even the entire Nigerian populace cannot forget this man.

The Chief of Army staff, Lt. Gen. Rukur Buratai publicly shared tears for the sake of this gallant hero.

Hardly will you see a soldier cry in public not to talk about a General. The chief Of Army Staff, Lt. General Buratai was once caught in camera crying.

What could have made a General cry? Only the death of patriotic citizen, the death of a man that put his life on the line for his country to remain strong can make Lt. Gen Buratai to cry.

The death of Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abu Ali rocked not just the General but Nigerians that knew his accomplishments in the fight against terrorism. Abu Ali was Nigerian Army officer who Commanded the Army's 272 Tank Battalion. He was killed in an ambush by Boko Haram in Fatori, Borno State.

Buratai wept on November 4, 2016 as he read the funeral oration of Abu Ali along with others that died with him. Ali death was barely a year Buratai awarded him and gave him an accelerated promotion from Major to Lieutenant Colonel.

Rest In Peace to a gallant soldier.

Nairaland GeneralCourt Grants Bail To Soldier Who Criticised Buhari, Buratai by efogator(op): 3:22pm On Jan 15, 2021
Last year, Mr Martins in a published video criticised President Muhammadu Buhari and the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai's handling of the Boko Haram crisis.

A military court martial in Sokoto State has granted bail to a lance corporal, Idakpini Martins, seven months after he was detained.

The soldier's lawyer, Tope Akinyode, confirmed the development to PREMIUM TIMES in a telephone interview on Thursday.

Last year, Mr Martins in a published video criticised President Muhammadu Buhari and the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai's handling of the Boko Haram crisis.

He alleged that the duo failed to provide adequate resources to soldiers fighting Boko Haram. Following the video, he was arrested and detained in Abuja.

Mr Martins was not allowed to have legal representation for a month until Mr Akinyode, a rights lawyer, approached a Federal High Court in Abuja, to file a rights violation lawsuit.

This newspaper on July 22, 2020, reported how Justice A. I. Chikere granted Mr Martins access to his lawyer and relative. He said the Nigerian Army's action was against the fundamental human rights of citizens.

Despite the court order, the army did not allow him to see his families and the matter was later transferred to Sokoto State where he was to face the court martial at the city he committed the alleged offence in.

A court martial is like a military court saddled with the responsibility to try soldiers considered to have violated army rules but they have the right to choose their own lawyers including from outside the army.

Speaking with PREMIUM TIMES on Thursday evening, Mr Akinyode noted that the soldier has been granted bail.

"Court Martial grants bail to Lance Corporal Martins Idakpini. The court sitting in Sokoto made the order today after I argued the bail application," he said.

Nairaland GeneralWhy Covid-19 Does Not Affect The Poor In Africa by efogator(op): 3:16pm On Jan 15, 2021
Have you been wondering why ordinary folks seem to be less affected by covid 19?

Whenever my drivers, house helps and security come back from their leave at home, I always asked them the state of things in their villages. Up till today in the last 1year, none has come back with any news of deaths or serious illnesses requiring hospitalization in their homes or surroundings.

I visited the SABO market in Sagamu and the tomato market at toll gate in ogere. I questioned many traders if any stall or store owners have been missing, or did not come to the market or have actually died. Responses were always negative.

So clearly the prevalence of noticeable infection with covid 19 is less among the lower class and fatalities appear to be higher among the upper class. However, It is necessary to make some adjustment for the fact that deaths among the elite class readily get media attention than those of regular folks.

Melinder gates prediction failed woefully because there was no way she could have foreseen this demographic prevalence factor in the spread of covid19.

The overall infectivity and fatalities in the africa is disproportionately much lower than the rest of the World!!!

WHAT IS THE MAGIC HERE.?

Simply put, the magic is SUNLIGHT.
People who are daily exposed to sunlight are able to convert some chemicals in their skins to vitamin D, especially D3.

Scientist have incontrovertible evidence that VitaminD seriously boost the human immunity and actually have capacity to prevent respiratory and lung diseases.

In the case of Covid19, vitaminD3 can prevent infection in some people and in others who still get infected , it decreases the severity of the infection and recovery rate is far better.

Recently a petition signed by 120 physicians spread across the globe, (I have a copy) has been sent to world leaders and governments to treat vitamin D deficiency common in europe and Americas, who have effective sunlight for just a few months in a year and hence have large numbers of the populace suffering from vitamins deficiency leading to high rates of susceptibility to covid19 infections and deaths.

Many of us elites in africa are also vitaminD deficient and this makes us ready targets for covid19 infections also. This is because we are hardly in the sun all year round.

Yet a 30mins lounge daily in the bright sunlight gives one about 20,000 iu of vitamin D in our blood. This figure is much much more higher than our daily requirement of which is about 4000 iu of vitamin D.
This is why young people, students, hawkers, traders and many who toil daily under the Sun have very high immunity against covid19.

So my dear elders, VIPs and Ogas please walk leisurely or lounge in the sun for 20 to 30mins daily, and with your face masks always on on public and observing normal covid protocols, with daily supplications to the Almighty, you will place a Ban on covid 19 from affecting you and your household.

Babajide Reacts as Bandits impose #5MN Monthly Levy on Niger state communities

Babajide Kolade Otitoju a veteran journalist, while lending his voice on the Monday edition of the popular weekly program “Journalist Hangout” on TVC news, talks tough as bandits demand #5MN monthly levy on Niger communities, calls out the government to act before bandits takes over all the communities in Niger state.

Babajide while speaking said “ I think it is now evident, that all what we have been saying on these program on daily basis is nothing but the truth. Many people confirm these when the Niger state Governor visits the President, to request for security personnel to secure Niger state.

I am saying these again that the security architecture of these country has collapsed, imagine the effrontery of these bandits to demand for #5MN monthly to desist from attacking communities in Niger state. Who are these people for God’s sake, are they bigger than us a country? No.

Niger state has been experiencing serious bandits attack for a long time, even the resident of these communities have to trek a long distance just to run away from danger zones.

According to the President, he said terrorism and banditry will end in 2021, I want to believe the people at the helms of affairs are working towards achieving that, because it is no more an easy thing to achieve considering these terrors have spread their tentacles almost all over the northern part of Nigeria.

The government should not try to yield anymore to any of their demands, rather they should use these money to fund the military, and improve the welfare of our security personnel.

What do you make of Babajide’s opinion, that the government should not yield to their demands rather they should fund the military extensively?

What is your opinion on this issue, drop your thoughts in the comment box below?

WebmastersHow To Appeal To Adsense If Your Account Is Banned For Invalid Traffic by efogator(op): 10:09pm On Dec 28, 2020
Have you ever had your Google Adsense account suspended or disabled for AdSense ban for invalid traffic or clicks offenses; worry not, i have good news for you.

In this post, we’re going to show you the steps you can take to help appeal your AdSense ban for invalid traffic. We’re also going to highlight how you can prevent invalid traffic from ruining your business.

Identify why your AdSense account disabled for invalid traffic

If you are going to appeal correctly and protect your account in the future, it’s best to understand the AdSense program policies. AdSense rules and content policy guidelines can be tricky for publishers to follow. This is where many publishers make costly mistakes and get into trouble with their advertising partners.

Advertisers are especially cautious when it comes to invalid traffic. Publishers who don’t understand it and haven’t put measures in place to prevent it will risk getting significant revenue clawbacks and full account bans.

Although there is a long list of policy violations that can put your account in bad standing the majority of infractions generally boils down to invalid traffic and policy violations.
Invalid traffic

-Invalid traffic is a catch-all term for the many different types of ad fraud that can happen.

-Invalid traffic primarily relates to sophisticated bots that view and click on your ad inventory.
Policy violation

-Policy violations can include a range of content related violations.

-This may include illegal, adult, copyrighted or any other types of content that the AdSense policies prohibit you from serving ads to.

What you need to do in this section:

-Read the Google AdSense Program policies

-Read all about the top invalid traffic and policy violations that tend to lead to AdSense account closure

-Make sure your website adheres to the program policies on all fronts, especially with regard to invalid traffic.

What are your chances of getting your AdSense account reinstated?

Often, when it comes to appealing an AdSense ban, your chances of getting your account back are very low. If you have willingly taken part in fraudulent ad practices, you probably won’t get your account back anytime soon.

However, if you were a victim of invalid traffic, which is often the case, then with our help you might be able to get your account back. However, since AdSense is a Google product and they want to protect their advertisers, we can’t provide any guarantees.

Nairaland General4 Tribes In Nigeria Where Husband And Children Dies If The Wife Commit Adultery by efogator(op): 7:12pm On Dec 22, 2020
It is very vital that before a man from an ethnic group decide to marry a woman from another ethnic group, there is every need for the man to make thorough research about the woman, most importantly about her culture and traditions. The same thing goes to the woman so that you don't end up marrying someone from a tradition you can not abide by.

Many men are late today not because they grew old but because the activities of their wife led them to their early grave. This is why you need to be careful when choosing a spouse.

For that reason, I bring to you threr tribes in Nigeria among others that forbids Adultery and as such punish offenders and family severally.

The 3 Tribes are:

1. Urhobo

2. Isoko

3. Ukwani

4. Idoma

The Isokos, Ukwanis and Urhobos

These are three tribes located in Delta State of Nigeria. These three tribes unlike other parts of Nigeria has a culture that forbids a legally Married woman from committing adultery, if she does, the end result is devastating enough.

If a legally married woman from these three tribes commits Adultery, she will receive a curse from the gods, and Confession of Infidelity is therefore required.

Even though the curse and consequences are deadly, it has the following four rules among which are:

a) For the curse to affect the woman who Committed the adultery, her husband must be either Urhobo, Ukwani, Isoko or from any community in Anioma like Ogwashi-Uku, Enu-Ani, Ika And Aboh.

b) This only works on the condition that the woman is legally married and her bride price duely paid.

c) If the husband is not aware of the crime Committed by his wife, It won't affect him but once he is aware and tries to cover her up, he will be affected and die if the gods are not appeased.

d) If it happens that the woman who cheated is Married to an Isoko or Urhobo man, Her Children would begin to fall sick and begin to die including herself if she didn't confess.

The bottom line is that, if you are an Urhobo or Isoko man and your wife Commit Adultery, stop eating her food untill she confess and appease the gods if not you and your children might die.

The Idomas

Idoma is a tribe is Benue State who also have a deity that deals with infidelity in Marriage. In Idoma kingdom just like the Isoko and Urhobo, when a legally married woman commits adultery, the repercussion is on her husband and children including herself.

The rules are almost the same with that of the previous discussed tribes. If the Husband is ignorant of the crime, nothing would happen to him if he eats his wife's food but the moment he is aware and decided to let go without appeasing the gods, he dies if he accepts any food from the woman.

As for the children, they don't need to know before it affects them. If their mother commit Adultery and cook for them to eat, death awaits them. The only solution is for the wife to confess and appease the gods before peace can reign. That's it my people.

Tell me about your tribe, do you have any tradition of such?

Most churches today discourage the act of appeasing the gods which most times lead to the death of many. Do you think it's right to avoid appeasing the gods and just forgive as a Christian?

Nairaland GeneralBorno Farmers Massacre: See Reasons Boko Haram Killed 48 Persons by efogator(op): 7:42am On Dec 05, 2020
It was a sad day for the nation last week when news came to the ears of well meaning Nigerians concerning the death of about 48 farmers in Zarbamari, a town in Borno State, North-East Nigeria.

The news brought many condemnations from both local and international people. It was attributed to the activities of BH.

The Borno State governor had awarded 600,000 naira to each family that have their persons killed, North-East governors had also donated 20 million naira and the North-East Development Commission also donated 5 million naira to the families of the deceased.

New findings into what really happened have emerged. This man identified as Mallam Kabiru Zanna a villager in the town has come to give some insights into what happened on that fateful day.

As earlier reported by many media houses, the man claimed that those 48 people who were killed were informants working with BH. He said these people help BH to sell rustled cows, supply food and fuel to them.

What led to their killing as narrated by this man was that these people were going for a meeting with the BH sect when some military officers met them. They were interrogated and searched, but since nothing could be found on them, they let them go.

Meanwhile, when the soldiers were interrogating them, some members of the BH sect who saw them with the military thought they were double crossing them by talking to the military.

Later after that event, the military ambushed some of the BH members and killed 5 of them. The sect blamed the farmers for their loss saying that they passed Intel to the military.

The man went further to reveal that if it was the villagers fault, they would have paid a heavy price but on that day, they came to the village, tied them and slaughtered them. They did not fire their guns so as not to alert the military.

The man said although some of the people were innocent, but many were truly collaborating with the BH sect. He also said none of them is a rice farmer.

God Is Using Buhari in Nigeria, A Bag Of 50kg Rice Is $200 In The US, Most Americans Can't Buy It

The Special Adviser for Drainage and Water Resources to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Joe Igbokwe has alleged that a bag of rice in some parts of the United States is $200 and most Americans can't buy it. He told his followers on Facebook to convert that to naira and see that God is using Buhari amidst the pandemic.

Engineer Joe Igbokwe was born in Uruagu Nnewi in Anambra state, he is an author and among his published works are “IGBOS: 25 YEARS AFTER BIAFRA” published in 1995, “HEROES OF DEMOCRACY” published in 1999, and co- authored, “2007:

THE IBB OPTION in 2004” with his friend, Peter Claver Opara. He joined the Lagos state government in 2006 as the pioneer General Manager of Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance & Regulatory Agency (LASIMRA) and served there for more than 10 years.

Engineer Joe Igbokwe is currently the Special Adviser for Drainage and Water Resources to the Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo Olu.

He took to his Facebook account hours ago and he posted a content on his Facebook account in which he made it clear that it was a copied content from another source.

According to his post, he said that President Buhari would succeed because of what God is using him to do in Nigeria. He alleged that 50kg bag of rice is now $200 (N76,000) in the US due to the pandemic that they are facing but the price of 50kg of rice isn't up to that amount in Nigeria despite the pandemic.

Moments after he posted the content above, Nigerians took to his comment section to slam him for comparing the price of rice in Nigeria to the price of rice in US.
