5. He ruled the city with a mighty hand and prophesied with a loud voice unto the four walls of the cities; the North, the South, East and West, saying;

6. “Woe unto the godfathers and naysayers and oligarchists, to the men who have exalted themselves over this city as gods over men.

Former Super Eagles player and Nigerian Football Ambassador, Daniel Amokachi, has been appointed as Special Assistant on Sports to President Muhammadu Buhari.

He seemed to be able to sniff the wads of notes wherever they were hidden. The spymaster dug out hundreds of millions from septic tanks, holes dug in farmlands, airconditioned containers and apartments.

His hugest find was the millions of dollars and pound sterling found in an Ikoyi flat but that became the beginning of criticisms as the controversial operation begged more questions than were answered.

3. Mallam Abba Kyari Backing

Sources indicate that Ibrahim Magu was able to retain his position irrespective of the rejection by the Nigerian senate because he allegedly had the backing of the then Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari; it is widely believed that the late Abba Kyari was his 'godfather' and shielded Magu against all allegations leveled against him.

4. Bola Tinubu Backing

It is also gathered that Magu enjoyed the backing of the ruling party, APC strong man, Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

Many believes that Ibrahim Magu is a 'Tinubu boy'. These people argue that with Tinubu's influence waning in the helms of affairs of the All People's Congress, APC, Magu's days in the EFCC are numbered.

The above made Magu almost untouchable for the most part of his career and it is generally believed the he became arrogant and careless. Magu rented a house at N20m annually, paying N40m upfront, furnishing it with N43m and allegedly paying through a crony.

Magu arrogantly was living a lavish lifestyle and more recently allegedly hiring a private jet to Dubai during lockdown without due process are some of the excuses his critiques point out.

What Gave Ibrahim Magu Away so Cheaply:

1. Arrogancy Towards AGF Abubakar Malami

Unknown to Ibrahim Magu, his running battle with the Attorney General who has accused him of insubordination was somewhere waiting to be dug out at the appropriate time, and with a new power block at the Aso Villa, the AGF did not waste time opening the EFCC's cupboard allegedly full of skeletons.

When the Abubakar Malami, the petitioned the presidency a couple of weeks ago, accusing the EFCC boss of corruption and insubordination among others, Magu’s backbones were already incapacitated and demised that he became so exposed with none to shield him.

2. Over Bloating Figures

4. Raiding General Abdulsalami Abubakar’s House

A few weeks before Danjuma’s incident, the Minna residence of former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar was raided by EFCC operatives who “turned the house upside down” on the orders of Ibrahim Magu.

The president also got to know only after the deed had been done.

It is important to note that while neither Danjuma nor Abdulsalami is above the law, power should never be used to harass and ridicule people, whether high or low.

And even where there are justifications, for citizens at that level, these actions should certainly not occur without the president’s knowledge.

How to check your Android phone or iPhone for Covid-19 Tracker/Sensor:

1. For Android phone users: Go to your 'settings' scroll down and locate 'Google' and click on it, you will see the Covid-19.

2. For iPhone users: Go to your 'settings', and under your settings click on 'privacy', then click on 'health', and you will see the Covid-19.

However, the Covid-19 tracker software is currently installed but not activated yet; it is you that can activate it yourself if you want to and get further instructions from it.

Recall that 7 police officers were massacred by the F-SARS operatives in Ughelli, Delta State.

The Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO) has confronted the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, and the force hierarchy over their alleged silence in last week’s killing of Seven Policemen attached to the Bayelsa State Command by some unidentified Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) operatives in Ughelli, Delta State.

In a statement issued by CLO, they are worried just like other person's over the lack of proper investigation into the killing.

According to them, this is fueling a conspiracy theory that there could be more to the story than what has been told.

The statement was signed by Bayelsa State Chairman of the organisation, Mr. Nengi James-Eriworio.

Furthermore, the group said the “silence of the IGP and that of the two police commissioners of Delta and Bayelsa is unacceptable and unsettling.”

The activist group described the situation as a “sad development to the deceased’s families and Bayelsa State where they hailed from.”

The group laments over the fact that till today, it is sad that the IGP will remain silent over such an incident.

According to the group, It is a disappointment that the police authorities will keep mute over the murder of these seven officers.

“We are still wondering how the seven policemen were killed without the so called unidentified Federal SARS team recording any casualty on their part.

We are suspicious of the whole incident.

It is also difficult to accept that they were killed, and their rifles still left with them.

We really doubt the circumstances surrounding the killing of these seven policemen.”

Therefore, we are calling on the police IG to react to this issue as a matter of urgency.

The group further stated that whether the policemen were shot dead rightfully or wrongly, their deaths must be investigated.

We the CLO is yet to be convinced that something is not fishy in this event.

We believe that the silence is a ploy to cook up a suutable story to tell the general public and the diseased families.

As a group, we are not saying we know what happened, but what we are saying is that, these slain policemen have rights (to fair hearing) until found guilty.

As a matter of fact, the incident is questionable.”

The group further likened the killing of these seven officers to the scenario that played out when the alleged kidnap kingpin, Bala Hamisu (popularly known as Wadume), was rescued by some military personnel who slaughtered officers of the IGP special team that were detailed from Abuja to arrest him in Taraba State.
