When Liverpool player Luis Suarez refused to shake hands with Manchester United's Patrice Evra this weekend following a race row, football fans were horrified.

Now it seems that such bad behaviour really is copied by the nation's children.

A mascot for Aston Villa appeared to imitate the 'Suarez snub' as he walked straight past a boy in Manchester City's colours ahead of Sunday's match.

The alarming move by the mascot took place the day after Suarez's controversial act in Manchester, with each subsequent incident only exacerbating the furore over the Liverpool player's attitude.

The video of the children has now been viewed by nearly 500,000 fascinated YouTube users.
