My brother don't mind me. My reach or estimate may be too large - with adjustments here and there, I still believe a good plan can be put in place.

If Politicians and even thugs will have multi-billions, a few Trillions that hand over economic power to the people - will not be strange. I accept my desire of a 100 million Nigerians may be too high. But considering that nearly about that number live at less than $2 per day, what else can I desire?

What is happening now is far better than during OBJ n Yaradua days. We are seeing a response from our security operatives. Can of worms hidden for years are being opened. A crack down since the days of Abu Qaqa's arrest, has resulted in the arrest of about 30 key players of the sect.

We must give credit when itls due. It is like you belong to the camp of those who critisize for the sake of it.
So if I may ask with all those "arrest" you claimed, no big fish - only errand men. Or are they cutting deals?

How many jobs where generated in 2010?
How many in 2011?

Now he want to hypnotize us with 370,000 jobs. How did he arrive on that figure? Why/How that particular figure and none other.

On 50k
When I was in primary school, we attended Children's Day celebrations. With 50k, I bought 3 plates of rice with meat, 3 ice-cream (home-made) for me and my 2 other friends and still had a 20k balance.

Today, N1,000 cannot get all that for me - that is nearly 2,000 times the worth of what I had then! Do you call what we have today a "supersonic" "hyper ventive" Inflation?

Intuition tells me that the Nigeria economy is controlled at the micro-level (I am not a economist, by the way. Perhaps Ekt bear, manny4life and co can help out). Using this, the average pepper seller, agbero and co (you said 100 m people) would have about 1.5m in their accounts. Why would this "average pepper-seller" continue to sell at 20N? To her, the labour to profit ratio would not be worth it anymore. She might start demanding for 50N or 100N or better still, drop the business and start a new one (renting generators, distributorship etc). If this continues, we would lose our grass root which I think is till necessary in Nigeria. Also, the inflation that would accompany such a move would not a funny.
Nice. But I believe those "micro" items will still be available and be sold. Even well packaged. People will have money to buy. In countries, where the average purchasing power is high, there are still poor people around and little thing sold too. High inflation may be at the start, but with good policy implementation, Inflation can be held down.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) will be spending N75 million this year to replace old toilet doors, locks, repainting of fading walls and provision of directional sign posts to the Commission’s waiting room and canteen.  This was even compounded by the fact that the budget was proposed after an allocation of N28 million was made for the same purpose in the budget of last year. Plus, in the 2011 budget, the Commission had proposed N60 million for automation and changing of all access doors of its head office building in Abuja.

(Excerpts from Those Doors From Heaven, in Saharareporters).
N75m + N28m + N60m = N163 million

What type of jobs are they trying to create. Is it not better to even:

Give 100 million Nigeria and non refundable sum of N1.5 million to start up a "micro" business or improve their current business - imagine what Nigeria will become in 2 to 3 years.
Politics › Re: Why Can't Government Give 1.5 Million Naira To 100 Million Nigerians? by egift(op): 6:46pm On Feb 13, 2012
Or is it better for less than five people to eat the N150 million and those 100 million Nigerians live under $1 (N160) per day - so that inflation will remain low?

Hyper-Inflation. Government simply can't.
Inflation can be held down.
- Through banking (cashflow regulations)
- The economy will be growing Hyper-lightening too
- Policies can be implemented to diversify the economy

This is the most useless regime of all time in human history. Are you telling me that after days in custody - no information have been extracted? There are no massive crack downs and arrests already?

If they are using your head, not mine.

Here is my conclusion:
1. The government of Jonathan is smooth-talking and staging us.
2. President Jonathan know those that are doing this bombing (atleast from Oct 1st 2010 Independence Day killing to today's Boko)
3. He is either weak, fearful or have soiled his hands somewhere.
4. I hold him responsible for what is happening. He either do his job or step aside.

Wow, our titles
That means there are "Assistants" to some "Special Assistants" who are under one (or more) "Senior Special Assistant" - just to one "Minister".

This is the exact reason why Nigeria will keep suffering.

MEND:

- funded/supported by South South leaders
- enjoy the goodwill of the Niger Delta people

Boko Haram:
- seen as Northern bull-dogs, supported by Northern leaders
- enjoy the goodwill of Northerners

OPC:
- the pride of the Yoruba
- Funded and equipped by Southwest Leaders.

MASSOB:

- heart beat of the Igbo nation
- Supported and funded by SE leaders

Now tell me how violence will be stopped in Nigeria. The only way to solve this mess and retain a united Nigeria, is:
We need a leader that will be firm, set a single rule for everyone and provide for the people in a sincere efforts to reduce the suffering of Nigerians and empower us to now exploit our individual abilities to create wealth for ourselves and the nation.

The Press is killing this Nation. Just in a bid to sell newspaper, this is the Heading SUN NEWS will give this interview?

With few reservations on my part, most of Waku's position are very patriotic. If adhered, most of the problem of insecurity today will be solved. Like his call for Jonathan to prosecute those he know are using their position in Government to fund violence, etc.

But with this Headline, the length of the article and how boldly SUN News will print this - many will just start commenting with their anus without bothering what was written.

@jmaine:
I will not join you in a contest of "Who Posts Last". You can go ahead and bark NL down, here are the two items I just want you to note as this topic is concerned:

1. I am disappointed in your reasoning on many topic (yes its your freedom). But its obvious that you do not have an independent or balance opinion on any issue - you always spin it to a "For" or "Against" Jonathan. And anyone the is passive by you as a non-supporter will be called names and insulted. Its wrong.

2. While Sahara Reporters may have their limitations like everyone in the world, they have done greatly to expose the inefficiencies in Government. But as usual, you jmaine will always come out so fiercely to criticize them any time its a non pro-Jonathan piece as if your next meal depends on it.
