Politics › Acn Senators To Oppose Oil Subsidy Removal by egift(op): 12:59am On Dec 14, 2011
The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Babajide Omoworare has declared that senators elected on the platform of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, will continue to fight against the move by President Goodluck Jonathan to remove oil subsidy.

Also, Senator Babafemi Ojudu yesterday called on the Nigerian workers and the Civil Society groups in the country to resist the proposed fuel subsidy removal by the federal government.

Omoworare who is the Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Federal Character said the decision of the ACN senators was born out of their determination to be on the side of the masses and also ensure welfarist policies and programmes by federal government.

Delivering a lecture entitled “Checks and Balances: Nigeria in Search of Credible and Sustainable Election” to mark the 2011 pen week of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, OSBC, chapel in Osogbo, Senator Omoworare stressed the need for all Nigerians to stand against the move to remove oil subsidy, saying time is not ripe for such development in Nigeria.

Senator Ojudu who represents Ekiti Central, Ekiti State in the National Assembly, made his comment while delivering a lecture entitled ‘Fuel Subsidy Removal: A Challenge to a Nation’ at this year Press Week of the state NUJ.

According to him “”my opposition to the removal of oil subsidy is because it is a catalyst for sustained economic inequality.

Ojudu declared that the removal “ is a blow against conscienceless, irresponsible ruling class. It is for me an obligation to lobby my colleagues to vote against it.

Why is Jonathan belittling the Office of the President Nigeria?

When MEND throw bomb, he will turn to their PRO and even invite them to tea season.
Now he want to put his own governor of Bayelsa with Federal Security might.

Jonathan is a good man.

His only problem is that he is allowing so many people (including Beaf) put ingredients into his pot of soup that the he is almost poisoning Nigerians with his anti-people policies.

Its not everybody that is afraid - its only those that have put their hands in our cookie jar and have refused to bring it out.

According to Babangida Aliu (PDP), Gov. of Niger State - electing Buhari will spell doom for PDP as we know it.

Also I believe that if Buhari was elected, without him even saying a word, half of out top politicians would have taking some emergency "medical" vacation. From there they will be weighing what the man is up to. But announcing GEJ, everyone started popping Champlain & organizing celebration. grin

Dude, that prayer is simply to drastically increase the mental capacity of anybody that claims they can "verify" a govt programme on NL. Wonderful! shocked
We be fasting, sweating and praying for you, bruv. grin grin grin grin
Am glad we are on the same page.

1. Nigerians online/offline will not be able to "verify" this YouWIN scam. Only friends, family, agent and people who are related or knew one or two people in the Presidency, Ministries, Government House, Local Government, Top party members - will be the ones to have their Biz Plans accepted. And maybe a handful of others.

2. Its also obvious that your colleague in YouWIN, Kenis - lie to all of us when he made two claims:
- That his friend posted on Facebook that he have been contacted by YouWIN and asked to come and defend his plan in person.
- He also falsely claimed that about 3million Business Plans have been collected already.

I know how to paste a link but not from me or my friends Facebook profile. You can't teach me by pasting urs here.
My people with this response from Kenis, I hereby strengthen my claim that:
- YouWIN is a scam aimed at collecting well thought out Biz Plans from Nigerians for free.
- That President Jonathan promoting YouWIN as an initiative to solve the problem of unemployment is an effort too tiny.
- That YouWIN is an ill-prepared, scam intended, 50billion naira stealing setup.
- That Beaf, Kenis and others who have been here vigorously trying to force this scam down our throat are agents and direct beneficiaries of the programme.
- At the end of the day names will be announce, but I stand to say that majority of them will be sponsored names plus a handful of lucky Nigerians.

On that note, Nigerians have been deceived again, our servants stockpiled their pockets - yet the struggle continue! God help Nigeria.

According to the article:
"She stated that her boss did not enter for any NABTEB examination, having obtained her WASC, Diploma and Master’s degree from Imo State University."

Nigerian politicians can be very desperate in their efforts to pull people down.

"We Will Bomb Abuja Again On Oct. 1st" - MEND Threatens
IN an apparent planned re-enactment of the bloody show at the Eagle Square, Abuja, venue of the Golden Jubilee celebration of Nigeria on October 1 last year, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) has said it will plant and detonate explosives within the vicinity of the Eagle Square again, to coincide with the Independence celebration on Saturday.

MEND threatens Jonathan
Security agents have continued to launch a manhunt for the persons believed to still be members of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND). The manhunt has already led to the arrest of Henry Okah’s younger brother, Charles Okah in Lagos while security agents are said to be closing in on others suspected to be closely associated with MEND.

You should give it to Tinubu on this. Don't allow your hatred to deceive you. The problem with Jona and PDP is that they do not know how to do good and legally. They just wanted to use gra gra and push Mr. Tinubu into jail.

I am not Tinubu fan and I support corruption to be punished (I personally support capital punishment), but it should not be selective, lousy, stupidly pursued, illegal, and as a means for corruption, oppression and intimidation.

BTW, what type of jugment were they pursuing (a 3months?).
