For me this is all I have to say: 1. They could have secretly done the signing and go for the hunt without raising unnecessary tension (Or did they hoped for fear?) 2. Jonathan should drop his incompetence and stop this mess from getting out of hand. If Boko Haram carry out their threat, Nigeria in US, in Nigeria and around the world will be first treated like bombers too. You guys should not forget post-9/11 I don't want to see my people carrying "I Am A Nigerian, Please Don't HATE Me" |
This could be: - Borrowed money with the name of Nigeria - Printed here - Awarded to invisible non-existing businesses - Money share among themselves - Bribe money - Interest from government funds deposited somewhere for such gain - Money from sale of National properties - Over-priced, over-budgeted, over-funded, over-collected, etc. How much are you considering? |
Many Nigerians are suffering and I wonder if we do not have the fund to better the condition of Nigerians? In this thread please post your estimate (in Naira) what you believe our politicians have stolen or embezzled, from 1999 - 2012. Do not add the amount you think were spent on actual projects for the people of this nation. |

Mine is straight forward. I worst crime in life is: Generally being poor. But specifically not having enough money to buy Aso Rock. By now I would have sack all of the current occupant and put new guys that understands what to do. Everyday I still work towards being that much. Its my burden but na one day una go hear my voice and quake and shiver in you marrows. |
Are we suppose to follow them on twitter? Are they collecting N20 there? |
chosen04:Chosen04: I really hold myself not to foul mouth you. Tell me are those organization Government agencies? I repeat, as long as leaders from different groups keep protecting their "boys" it will be difficult to deal with other groups. How can a man funding Militants want to deal other militias? The solution is simple - Put his foot on the ground state the terms and you either fall in line or get spanked. Any other time I hear him say "I know the people behind this" and nobody is arrested and sent to jail - I will slap somebody's face ![]() |
I just hope he is not coming to sock like Madam Ngozi in this mess. What these politicians do best is to push through their corrupt intentions on the back of men with better integrity. And when they sink in the mess, you just end up burning your good name for nothing. I hope Ribadu will know when to jump out. |
Can someone post what is so special in this metal of a phone. |
What has been done to people who steal from Nigeria - Nothing - Rather the government is busy protecting them. Now even those who are very hopeful now, they are only believing they too may get LUCKY (land their portion of the loot, maintain the one they have or get picked - like that of YouWIN). This government have to seat up. I mean how can a tout who blow things up be paid much more money by the government, while those who work legitimately so hard be earning peanuts. |
I believe the quest to divide Nigeria will reduce if today's government is doing what make the lives of Nigerians better - This idea of 30 years problem will take that long to be resolve is unacceptable. The simple rule of resolving things are not being carried out: - Identify the needs - Prioritize them - Put up daily, weekly, monthly and yearly plans that take care of existing problems. - Make provision for needs that will develop along the line With this the expectation of Nigerians will be positive. People will keep pressing towards their own plans with confidence. We are talking about a leadership that handed over to itself. |

She have to appear if invited. She knew out beloved Papa was dead and she accepted to join Jona. Our people said: ", its him that brought back fire wood with ants that invited the lizard to his compound". |
As long as the government treat these anti-government organizations differently, Nothing will change. Boko Haram MEND OPC MASSOB |
Do you think they will be need for so many people supporting disintegration of Nigeria if today's leadership is working to put smile on the faces of Nigerians? Nigeria have suffered in the past, but if today's leadership is genuinely working for the people (not these cosmetic smooth talking and continue blaming the past) Nigerians will not have need to urgently be calling for National conference or outright disintegration. |
As an Igbo man in Nigeria, here are my top two country men: Am glad the had a good relationship. If we had Buhari, over 50% of looters would have taking emergency medical leave outside the country. While others will be hiding. We should have been talking development and recovery of looted funds and not Billions missing daily. Nigerians, luck! Hope you make a better choice next time and don't fall for another promotion ad. |
Keep it coming. Am glad Jonathan is the winner and Nigerians are receiving loads of "fresh air" daily. Billion missing here are there - yet no one is heading to jail. Most people supporting him are only hoping they too will be lucky for their portion of the loot someday. |
freecocoa:No. I no better pass. Only I usually shy away from such subjects. Not an age limitation. Thanks both for your advice. |
kunletech:^^^ This what they hope to get. And you just fall for it. Our security agents are trying but due to the nature of the enemy, its difficult to win - but use lies on us means they think we are fools. We are not. They should their work and leave falsehood alone. |
I just hope you guys do not develop short memories. On the same NTA 9PM News on 4TH October 2010, we were told that the following sms have been retrieve from Chief Dokpesi (then Media Manager of IBB campaign before the PDP primaries): "Have you collected the balance from DOKPESI?" "Na we do am. Meet me make I brief you" "Let us meet at IBB Campaign Office" Source: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-525246.0.html Later Dokpesi was humiliated, MTN said it was a lie, Dokpesi later accepted to join and support Jonathan for President, all have been flushed down the drain. Jonathan = NTA = PDP = The largest scam artists in the world. |
Chia! See me dey visit Romance section. Anyway, I have 2 little issues I need suggestions on. Please endeavour to address them separately - Thanks. 1. My girl-friends are very possessive I have few female friends I do chat with and are friendly too. But my problem is that they are very possessive. They act as if they own me or will soon own me. Sometimes people who know me will tell me how some of them brag about me (it sounds as if I am engaged to them or I promised). Me do make that mistake of promising marriage, when I do not plan to. But when I hear those, I really do not have problem with people being ambitious - but am very uncomfortable with it. They don't know each others and never met. 2. The quality I seek in a wife All I want from the lady that will be my wife is one that will make me happy - just make me laugh, (her talk, actions, even how she carry herself). Love that will not cheer me up will be useless. But all the people that surround me are just interested in themselves - buy me this, get me that and none bothers about what I want or make effort to please me. Even the one am considering, don't also have that as her primary effort. Should I tell them what I want? Am trying to avoid being deceived with pretense. Or will I get my desire (dedicated effort to cheer me up at all times) when I marry or hit great wealth? |

We were all told these buses will be deployed to all the States in Nigeria and will provide relief for transportation at reduced rates. Sahara Reporters has replied presidential spokesman, Dr. Reuben abati, that it lied in a report it carried that the President, Dr. Goodluck Jonahtna, contrary to his promise of cutting spending on foreign trips, went to the African Union Summit that ended today in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with a delegation that did not fulfill his pledge. According to the reply written by Omoyele Sowore, Sahara Reporters accused abati of being economical with the truth by not stating the fact that the First Lady was also attending another fringe meeting on the side of the AU meeting involving First Ladies of other countries and thus had her own entourage. Sahara Reporters put the entourage of the First Lady at 32, which was the total number of delegates Abati said was on the trip to Ethiopia. The publication challenged Abati to make available to Nigerians the names and designations of those officially on the trip to Ethiopia with Jonathan to prove that the delegation was indeed not more than 32. The letter by Sowore reads: “Dear Reuben Abati, “I read your cleverly written letter to me regarding our latest report on President Goodluck Jonathan’s junket to Ethiopia. In writing what purports to be a rejoinder, you deliberately left out details of our sms exchanges on the same issue. That omission, I suggest, was an attempt to evade the central issue raised in our report. Instead of confronting that issue – the list of delegates invited and sponsored by the Jonathan administration and his wife to Ethiopia – you chose to play a semantic game over what is a straight forward issue. I’ll respond to your rejoinder pointedly. “1. You sent me a text message on Friday claiming that our report on the Ethiopia trip was false and malicious because, according to you, there was a “mix up” somewhere. I quickly responded, telling you that a truthful report could never be malicious. Thereafter, you sent another text saying you didn’t mean to criticize the report, but wanted to put matters straight. You proceeded to explain that there was only “one delegation” led by the president to Addis Ababa and that the number of people on the list was far lower than we reported. I quickly requested for the list. You responded by claiming that it was in your bag at your hotel room. However, you curiously sent another text claiming you couldn’t reach some people involved in getting the list as it was “past midnight” in Addis Ababa. My last text to you was a reminder that I would be waiting for your response regarding the list and size of the delegation. That response never came; instead, you released this letter that pretends to be a refutation, but is rather an attempt at obfuscation. “2. You claimed that there was a single list of delegates to Ethiopia. That claim amounts to a puerile effort to conceal the fact that Mrs. Patience Jonathan was attending a program of African First Ladies which was different from the AU summit being attended by President Jonathan. This meant that the “First Lady” was traveling with a retinue of staff, associates and hangers-on to aid or support her “official” activities at a separate event from that of President Jonathan. “3. As the president’s chief spokesman, you ought to have the delegate list. I challenge you then to provide the public with a breakdown of Mr. Jonathan’s “one delegation entourage” to Addis Ababa, categorized in order of designation of officials, their date of travel, mode of travel, and explanation of whether they were part of the advance party or arrived in Addis Ababa in the same aircraft as the President – or in an extra aircraft that was deployed. “4. From your letter, it is clear that you concede that some “Nigerians” may have traveled with the delegation “unofficially.” Does this technical admission not defeat your initial insistence that there was only “one delegation”? “5. SaharaReporters has a history of documenting the culture of waste occasioned by the profligate junkets by the Presidency. We are glad that your principal appears to have realized that wasteful trips need to be eliminated and the size of delegations cut – especially after the president’s scandalous outing in Perth, Australia where an out-of-control delegation engaged in waste, corruption and even broke Australian laws. “6. We maintain that “First Lady” Patience Jonathan traveled with a retinue of aides, friends and associates to the tune of 32 people. Their travels and accommodation were arranged and paid for by the Nigerian government. What you owe the public is an obligation to be transparent. In this event, that entails releasing your official delegates’ list as well as names of associates, contractors, friends and “other Nigerians” the government gave a nod to visit along with the president and his wife on this trip to Addis Ababa. In other words, we await the release of that list that you claimed was in your bag in the hotel room in Addis Ababa. Thank you.” http://saharareporters.com/press-release/%E2%80%9Cculture-waste-and-insensitivity%E2%80%9D-and-18th-au-summit-saharareporters-responds-reuben-a |
