@Op do not give up, the Lord will be your strength, it won't be easy but keep up the faith.... was once @ a point like this earlier this year( days of starvation, nights I cried on my bed while smiling @ morning) it wasn't easy the suicidal thoughts came but all in all i overcame and gradually pulling through so don't give up... if you're able to gather little cash start up something with it... could be food selling or anything on a small scale, your mum can assist or anything of your choice. the Lord will strengthen you and would heal and fill your heart.

Y'll are good at pointing fingers. So y'll don't stereotype others huh?
when it comes to stereotypes and finger pointing igbos have had the worst and that's the truth you may want to deny it but the truth is still the truth..... take a look @ some of the comments telling you not marry from Imo, Abia and all, and I'm wondering how many parts of theses places have they been to. each town, villages, kindred and community differs same with their requirements for marriages. so pointing @ a whole state or people due to the outrageous list given by a particular village or kindred or family doesn't mean it applies to the whole State.

You'r elder bro try, I can't marry from other tribe apart from Igbo. Even if women from others tribe are free I am not interested.

I wonder why people of others tribe's are dieing to marry Igbo ladies while they hates Igbo's so much?

Vote for Igbo president they will say no, but they are interested to marry Igbo ladies to give them intelligent children's. Pay whatever the girls family request they will say no, then while having interest to take life partner among the people you hates?

Marriage from other tribes is impossible, Igbo and only Igbo is possible
well love conquers all the same way it brought my grandparents ( igbo, yourba) together regardless of their tribes.. funny how You See other tribes stereotyping the igbos and yet they still intermarry... what a wonderful hate

At the end of the day it all boils down to individual families....thank God I've been alive to witness different weddings from my place(Imo orlu) including that of my family and I can say the list is quite favourable ( nothing extravagant and also not so cheap) more like we ain't tryna get rid of our daughter and @ the same time not selling her.... like the igbo adage goes " you can't marry a woman under a day".. same way I witnessed my elder bro's intro to his wife( Ondo) and the amount spent on just the intro.... @ the end of the day it all depends on the family you're getting involved in.

Especially those nurses... lord knows I would have strangled one if not for my Dad..... those idiots @ general hospital practically watched my mum die without doing a thing rather they were busy gossiping till it was late... non listened to my plea for help not until the doctor assigned to her show up but then again it was too late...

yep no big deal in doing that...if one can pay for the transportation fare of one's bro or male friends shouldn't be a deal paying for the one you're dating.

wondering when all this tribal issue will come to an end... same happened to me. A relationship of two years and few months gone like that cause his Mum doesn't want an igbo lady for her only son, forgetting that I am from both sides.... SMH.
