PoliticsRe: FAAC: FG, States, Lgs Share August Allocation [breakdown] by Ehiscotch(m): 10:23pm On Aug 30, 2018
Call it whatever you want, it is still not an excuse for governors to not perform. There were times when over a tdillon naira was shared among states. Where are the dividends - the roads, hospitals, schools? Money was just in circulation not put into concrete use.

Not having "brains" does not restrict the other parts of the body from raking in cash. I mean, for a girl who was obsessed over a guy on TV - opening her legs easily. Hell no way big gods aren't rushing her.

What Type Of This Is This? Well, Thanks To The CAF Calender, Players Who Are Or Want To Be Important And Regular In The Teams Have To Face The Dilemma: Whether To Boycott The Nations Cup - Which Is Horrible Scheduled Every Odd Year And At A Time Where These Clubs Need Their Every Player Especially Epl Teams. Anyway, I Think Moses Is Still Young And Can Still Play For The National Team As Well.
PoliticsRe: What Did The FG Gain From The NASS Siege?. by Ehiscotch(op): 6:52am On Aug 09, 2018
StillX10:
they gained nothing actually
Which is why they could not have made the decision to instruct officers to take siege of the NASS. They had a lot at stake to lose - Nigeria had a lot to lose. Reason, I do not understand why people think they staged this.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Real Madrid Signs 2018 World Cup Golden Gloves Winner Thibaut Courtois. by Ehiscotch(m): 1:21am On Aug 09, 2018
And The EPL managers and the FA created an unwholesome policy that would backfire in cases where top players like Paul Pogba and Hazard could leave without replacements after Thursday's deadline, which could explain why Madrid are not in a hurry to snatch Hazard as they are hoping a terrible start to the season would be enough to frustrate the player to force a move out of the club. Just like The Nigerian Government, they have failed to see beyond their noses and created a very bad policy.

Chelsea did good business for me: sell an unhappy GK who has just one year left on his contract for 45M and sign a fantastic GK in Kepa-whateverhissurnameis. Although, I pray my UTD cup Fekir Tonight ahead of Chelsea.

@ehiscotch Do you remember what happened to Joshua Dariye of Plateau state? He was impeached by only 6 out of 24 lawmakers in Plateau State under heavy security protection. You can fight the rest in a prolonged court case while you end up with DSS and EFCC harassment and the legislature moves on. By the time you realize what’s happening, your influence in the house has diminished and some of your fellow legislators will compromise and move on. Nigeria is one interesting country
A similar move failed in Benue State. I think our democracy has managed the progress from that point. This one is a special case with many dead ends. Take it down one route and you end up realising you just made a 360: it is neither here nor there.

Even as I find Saraki's involvement unthinkable I can understand to a point the rationale behind the assumption. We all saw how the place was heavily guarded, looked unbreachable and not even a fly was allowed to pass. How come a certain Saraki's house was in a similar situation and he cleverly sneaked out in a "rickety vehicle" (let us not even bother our minds about why a distinguished Senator should own one and deliberately choose it on that day). It would not be far-fetched to think that it was a plan to draw public sympathy. From Fayose in Ekiti, To Dino Melaye the drama has been an unending one. Cc Lalasticlala Mynd44
PoliticsWhat Did The FG Gain From The NASS Siege?. by Ehiscotch(op): 12:31am On Aug 09, 2018
Amidst, the reactions and counter reactions that have trailed the invasion of the NASS by the DSS - which includes conspiracy theories and finger-pointing -- I still cannot find a valid (or invalid, as the case may have been) reason as to why the FG with the concious awareness of PMB and PYO would deliberately sabotage the recovening of the NASS they pleaded for. I may not have info on all the happenings on that day but even with what I gathered it could never have been an impeachment move as they (APC) were largerly outnumbered; The FG are desperately in need of NASS approval on certain important issues and would only be kicking their own foot by sabotaging the process; It is too close to the election to be giving the opposition a louder voice and giving the indifferent minds a reason to doubt the authencity of PMB's democratic stance; It would be obviously and completely hyprocitical to have openly condemned it in Benue and play out a similar script in Abuja.

Somebody who would not require propaganda to influence muslims in the North or Christians in the South: A new breath of fresh air in our politics that would be neutral, religiously. No more appointments based on religion; aren't we tired of that nonsense? Our so called God-fearing leaders have not all been so "God-fearing" after all.

PoliticsWould You Vote For An Atheist? by Ehiscotch(op): 11:14am On Jul 29, 2018
Can we ever seperate religion from politics (or anything in this country)? Nigeria being a country with over 190 million people is a very fragile, volatile and religiously sensitive Muslim-Christian state --yes, we are not a secular state, forget all the crap in our constitution. We have long been polarised along religious lines and our politicians have preyed on this from time to win election(s). Even the 'civilized and educated' are still swayed by religious sentiments but would never confess to this being their major reason; conciously or subconciously we are influenced by our religious opinions. But the poser is "WOULD YOU DROP RELIGION ASIDE AND VOTE FOR AN ATHEIST?"

That was why buhari said he would right the wrongs of past governments during electioneering campaign. But here is he,doing even worst than them.
Did Buhari ask PDP to buy each vote for 4k? I think Buhari needs to caution and reprimand the INEC chairman too but 'vote buying' has to do with the electorates selling out their rights for 4-5k which would be worthless in little time.

This is an economy that must be built from the scratch, be self-sustainable, diverse (non dependent on crude oil), and highly productive. In as much as we love to hate this government but we must see what is happening in Nigeria's economy as "birth pangs". With all this drive especially in refining our own crude oil, improvement in the agricultural and manufacturing sector, it would only be a matter of time before we experience real progress in this country.

I like how you all love to make most of issues like this. The President a loan figure put together by an appointee and another appointee did his job by exposing the overpayment. Either way, the states would pay back the original loan sum.
